Overview

Evaden is a cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that moves software to a new dimension, offering a service rather than the traditional on-site model.

What this means is there is no capital outlay for the customer as far as Hardware (on-site servers), Software (operating system, database server, backup software, archiving software, antivirus, anti spam, email branding software) and no Additional Staff required to manage this on-site infrastructure.

The Evaden solution is delivered as a service on our Hosted Application Platform which means it runs across our international data centres and is offered to multiple clients, and the cost benefit derived from our economies of scale are passed to our customers.

Our service platform is constantly updated at no additional cost to our customers and they immediately derive benefits without having to update any software.

Active Edge A patented component which performs on-the-wire (before it reaches the organisations infrastructure) reputation analysis of the sender, providing a secure perimeter for email.

This allows Evaden to filter and block unwanted, illegitimate and malicious email content from spammers, viruses, malware, phishing attempts and content that the organisation has decided they would not like to receive.

Evaden thereby facilitates an enormous reduction in bandwidth required by the organisation, which typically would receive these illegitimate mails and write them to disc for subsequent analysis, quarantine and eventual deletion.

Archiving Evaden archives all legitimate mail that is destined for the organisation, together with all mail from the organisation, and all internal mail.

Because Evaden resides between the outside world (the internet) and the organisation, it forms a protected e-mail repository for all the email organisations communications.

Evaden tracks the entire end-to-end communication as it is received and delivered to the organisation and allows the organisation to prove the communications were received or delivered (full-trace dataset).

The Evaden full-trace dataset is fully compliant from a number of compliance, archiving and document retention laws (Sarbanes-Oxley, ECT, RICT, etc.) and carries the necessary evidentiary weight to be used in a court of law when proving that an email has been received and/or delivered.

E-Discovery This component allows the user to log onto Evaden via a web browser or plug-in to their existing email client e.g. Outlook and search across the organisation’s archive. The entire content of the email is indexed and allows for keyword searching both in the message body and subject lines together with searching who the mail may have been sent from or sent to.

By storing all the organisations email in Evaden, the organisation can substantially decrease the processing load and storage overhead on their existing mail infrastructure and no longer have the issue of managing quota’s or bloated mailboxes. With Evaden, organisations are typically only storing 30 days worth of mail on their existing infrastructure as all mail is now safely stored in the secure Evaden online data vault.

Data Leak Prevention DLP is a function in Evaden that allows the organisation to create policies to proactively prevent certain types of email content from being sent to external parties, providing a sound corporate governance mechanism.
Disaster Recovery Because Evaden resides outside of the organisation in secure data centres (in the cloud) it provides an instant Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) platform. Evaden allows the organisation to continue sending and receiving mail when the organisation email infrastructure is down or unavailable via the web or mobile phone interfaces.
