Interview with Asim Baig, President of Resfly
26 October 2011 - We asked Asim Baig, President of Resfly, a few questions about his company and his view of the markets they serve.

GETAPP.COM: Who are you and what is your role in the company?
BAIG: I'm the President of Resfly.
GETAPP.COM: Can you briefly present your management team?
Tony Sternberg serves as the product manger for Resfly. I have worked with tony at CATS, where he also serves as product manager. Graham Floyd is the architect and primary developer of the service.
GETAPP.COM: Are you a cloud or a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company?
BAIG: Yes, we are entirely web-based. Users can access their accounts from any computer, any operating system, any browser.
GETAPP.COM: How do you use and promote usage of cloud computing?
BAIG: We are huge advocates of cloud-based services and we use them whenever we can. One example of this is our support system. It is very important for our employees to be able to access their work on the go.
GETAPP.COM: What are the points of difference of your solutions?
BAIG: Our system was designed with a clean, easy-to-use interface but still maintains powerful features. We handle many aspects of the hiring process, from posting the job and handling candiate applications through a provided career portal to measuring the effectiveness of the entire hiring process with real-time analytics. We show useful information such as where your candidates are coming from in order to help improve future hiring efforts.
GETAPP.COM: How would you like to be evaluated by a prospect?
BAIG: Because we have just launched, we are offering the first job posted through our service free of charge, no credit card required. We want to show the value of our system before we require payment.
GETAPP.COM: Why do your customers buy from you?
BAIG: They buy because Resfly is a service that will save them time and money by providing a platform to post their jobs to dozens of job boards and social media outlets.
GETAPP.COM: What do you see as the key trend emerging in the industry?
BAIG: While there are many HR-related applications out there today, I believe that the industry is trending towards applications that are easy to start using and require little to no learning curve.
