Interview with Michal Truban, CEO of Nicereply.com
23 January 2012 - We asked Michal Truban, CEO of Nicereply.com, a few questions about his company and his view of the markets they serve.
GETAPP.COM: Who are you and what is your role in the company?
TRUBAN: I am a serial entrepreneur and investor out of Europe, CEO of Websupport.sk and it's spin-off Nicereply.com.
GETAPP.COM: Can you briefly present your management team?
We have a great management and executive team on board with us, starting with our Chief Pixel Officer Matej Hrescak, who is well known in the design world and has been very wanted in various A class startups in Silicon Valley. Our skilled CTO Matej Capkovic, has worked as a developer and software architect for multiple years in Websupport.sk and currently runs the mobile & web platform development efforts. The experienced Marketing & Sales Officer Matej Ftacnik has founded several Web & Mobile companies, he also has experience in organizing and facilitating mass events for startups. It might look like you need to be named Matej in order to work in Nicereply.com, but that's only a coincidence :-).
GETAPP.COM: Are you a cloud or a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company?
TRUBAN: We're a classic SaaS company providing an advanced analytical tool from companies to enhance their customer experience with their product/service. Our system is based on a cloud hosting service provided by Websupport.sk.
GETAPP.COM: What are the points of difference of your solutions?
TRUBAN: We provide actionable analytical data from our clients customers on their employees, services and products. Our clients can base their business decisions on this data and thus improve the processes in their company. With nicereply.com our clients can clearly see how thier customers liked or disliked the service that was provided. Nicereply.com is extremely easily implementable in all major helpdesk software solutions.
GETAPP.COM: Why do your customers buy from you?
TRUBAN:Our clients in general like our simple but powerful analytic reports and insights, but most importantly they love the notion that they are improving their customers experience of their company. Some of our key clients are Klout.com, Meetup.com,Spotify.com, SoundCloud.com, Patagonia, UserTesting.com, ESET, Freshbooks.com, CampaignMonitor.com, bigCartel and the list goes on and on...
GETAPP.COM: What do you see as the key trend emerging in the industry?
TRUBAN: We see the trend or putting more stress and importance on exact metrics and actionable data. The transition from vague metrics and guess numbers has been very visible currently.
GETAPP.COM: What is THE most important message you feel you should get across to someone considering buying your solutions?
TRUBAN: When a company grows or when a company is well established, it is really important to maintain the high level of quality o service that it provided when it was smaller. We help to achieve this by providing actionable metrics that help you steer the user experience of your company.
