Interview with Raj Sheth, Co-Founder and CEO of Recruiterbox
14 October 2011 - We asked Raj Sheth, Founder and CEO of Recruiterbox, a few questions about his company and his view of the markets they serve.
GETAPP.COM: Who are you and what is your role in the company?
SHETH: I'm the Co-founder and CEO of Recruiterbox. We are 3 co-founders: Raghuveer Kancherla is Co-Founder & Product Visionary and Girish Redekar is Co-Founder & Design Visionary
GETAPP.COM: Are you a cloud or a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company?
SHETH: Recruiterbox is a simple applicant tracking / Recruitment software running in the Cloud. We are a 100% SaaS company
GETAPP.COM: How do you use and promote usage of cloud computing?
SHETH:We use cloud apps for most of our work, such as Dropbox for storing all our docs. We promote Cloud usage by example: both through our product and making it easy/safe to use; and by writing blogs and reviews about cloud apps in general.
GETAPP.COM: What are the points of difference of your solutions?
SHETH: - Zero transition (simple to use) - Less process and steps (only post and receive) - Affordable
GETAPP.COM: How would you like to be evaluated by a prospect?
SHETH: Prospects should evaluate Recruiterbox in terms of time and result. The tool should save them a lot of time - it should allow them to spend less time "managing" the hiring process, and more time actually getting the hiring done. Also, how Recruiterbox helps them organize their funnel will determine their decisions on candidates. Prospects should evaluate whether they can do this easily and together as a team. Even if they are on the free plan, they are still investing time - so take it for a spin first!
GETAPP.COM: Why do your customers buy from you?
SHETH: Several hundred small companies use Recruiterbox because there is no transition mentally or financially: Our product is as simple as using email, and much more effective than spreadsheets to manage hiring.
GETAPP.COM: Can you mention some of your key clients?
SHETH: Groupon, Levis, Kik, Cloudscaling, Standard Market, US Dept of Energy
GETAPP.COM: What do you see as the key trend emerging in the industry?
SHETH: Small businesses use free tools like email and Google docs to manage their work. Big companies use enterprise software. There is a gap in the middle of affordable, online software (saas/cloud), which small companies can use to better manage their business. The emerging trend is that a lot of businesses will adopt such tools as they prove to solve their problems more effectively.
GETAPP.COM: What is THE most important message you feel you should get across to someone considering buying your solutions?
SHETH: Try the app first - its free and not time consuming at all. Decide to use it on a continuous basis ONLY if it saves you time and helps you hire better.
