They have an excellent interface, experience, and support. Go for it! Think of Xero as an all-in-one solution. This means you can set it up to perform your regular activities. What’s more, the folks at Xero have done away with the jargon. So, you have simple nomenclature for modules that cuts through the clutter viz., bank accounts, money coming in, money going out, and expense claims. You can perform regular activities related to your business such as invoicing, raising expense claims etc.

Clean and easy to use interface

FreeAgent is an easy to use accounting system with integrated proposal, invoicing, expense and mileage modules, as well as the usual accounting functionality like VAT and bank account reconsolidation (explaining all transactions). We find that it offers good value and saves us time and hassle. Declaration: we offer FreeAgent to our clients but have tried to keep this review as objective as possible for the sake of credibility. We do use FreeAgent ourselves after having reviewed a few online accounting systems.

Pros: - Clean and easy to use interface - Easy and professional invoicing with email templates and automatic reminders - Integration with Google Apps (single sign on - universal navigation) and Capsule CRM - VAT calculations with easy linking to HMRC
Cons: None so far. It would be great if we could have an even deeper integration with Capsule and perhaps other CRM's as well?
Best Uses: We use it together with Google Apps and Capsule CRM. The first giving us Single Sign On where we can start FreeAgent from the Google Apps menu. The latter allows us to export organisations to FreeAgent and gives us additional financial data.
Review Context: We are cloud IT specialists and decided to advise FreeAgent to our clients after having reviewed a number of online accounting systems.

As a small business owner, you have invested in solutions that take care of multiple aspects of your business such as sales and accounting. Probably, each of these solutions is piecemeal or independent. In simpler words, the solutions do not talk to each other. However, the integrated nature of modern business demands solutions that talk to each other. For example, someday you might want a report that details sales stocks and inventory in your system. Or, you might want to see your stock levels directly from your ecommerce website. This integration is Brightpearl’s unique selling point. It integrates multiple systems to enable exchange of critical data for important business decisions, such as the situations I outlined above. Best Uses: Overall, I think Brightpearl is a great tool for small businesses because it brings all elements of your business together, thus reducing the cycle time for most of your business processes from sales to inventory management to accounting.

The interface is split into two panels and looks very much like an Inbox. A FinancialForce.com consultant is assigned to each client. The consultant guides clients through the implementation process, provides an overview of the application, and assists in data migration.

Robust and mature product

I am the owner of a small business and I have to travel a lot. Therefore, I was searching for a web based software that I can access wherever I am. Once I signed up for QuickBooks, I could start right away. I imported my customer list with the help of the Excel template provided and I was quickly able to create invoices. However, it was a little bit tricky how to setup the VAT details. In general, I am very happy with the software and enjoy the advantages of this web based software.

Pros: Estimates that you create can later be converted into invoices. Errors can be corrected by overtyping entries
Cons: It is pretty slow

It is very time consuming to say thank you to customers who pay on time and automatically follow up with customers who don’t. ZenCash started to be a great help for me and now all my receivable management is done by ZenCash.
