Review for BillQuick
Quite easy to use and well worth the price.

Henderson Architectural started using BillQuick in 1999, while I began using this system in mid-2002. With the assistance of BillQuick's customer support and specialized tech support, we were able to run BillQuick more efficiently and to its full capabilities for what our firm needs. In the 9 years that I have been working with BillQuick, I have established an outstanding relationship with them to the point where they know what my needs and expectations are without me having to re-state them. The software has many capabilities, along with Crystal Reports, that allows you to design or edit existing reports/invoices to your needs. I have created special invoices for specific clients, and I am able to tie these invoices to specific projects without having to worry about them printing on the wrong template. The capabilities to time expenses, activities, employees, etc. to specific projects is endless.

Best Uses: Even though we do not integrate BillQuick with QuickBooks, this is an option that does sync with ease. What is nice is that I can have all 6-15 users working in this software system, independently entering their time and expenses without issues.

This is a very comprehensive suite of must have services that include CRM, collaboration and billing. Each individual service offer a comprehensive set of features. It compares well to other integrated solutions such as Zoho or Salesforce.com and offers more than single function products that only do invoicing, time tracking or CRM.

Pros: Well thought pricing model that allow to add more users at a reasonable cost Easy to use with Web 2.0 style for all product components The billing part of the tool, quotes and invoices, is particularly easy to customize
Best Uses: For businesses that privilege the suite option as most integration needs are being taken care of.

As a small business owner, you have invested in solutions that take care of multiple aspects of your business such as sales and accounting. Probably, each of these solutions is piecemeal or independent. In simpler words, the solutions do not talk to each other. However, the integrated nature of modern business demands solutions that talk to each other. For example, someday you might want a report that details sales stocks and inventory in your system. Or, you might want to see your stock levels directly from your ecommerce website. This integration is Brightpearl’s unique selling point. It integrates multiple systems to enable exchange of critical data for important business decisions, such as the situations I outlined above. Best Uses: Overall, I think Brightpearl is a great tool for small businesses because it brings all elements of your business together, thus reducing the cycle time for most of your business processes from sales to inventory management to accounting.

Pros: Very user friendly, excellent history of data at hand all the time, easy look up of data. Excellent data reports available, subleger reporting excellent, all variables of reports available to track data etc. look at history and track sales etc.
Cons: I do not like the financial statements reporting module.
Best Uses: Sales / AR / AP / GL / Inventory Control excellent - full accounting cycle (except we use a separate payroll software)
Review Context: Accoutning Controller - I use the program for 10 hours per day and oversee and train 5 other employees regularly on the software.

They have great support and, more importantly, have been doing this for ten years ago. That’s saying a lot for a field that’s relatively new. So, you get a level of experience and comfort that is not available to other users.

Pros: Great product with experienced and professional support. The solution offers excellent integration with third-party email parsing software. This means you can share ticket information or even have customer emails converted into tickets.
Cons: How about a free demo on the website (without registration) to make it even better!

I can strongly recommend this free open source ERP, accounting, CRM package for small and midsized businesses. It runs on Linux, Mac and Windows and takes care of all accounting tasks such as general ledger, accounts payable and receivable as well as bank reconciliation. But xTuple can do more, it is not only an online accounting software but also a great CRM where you can create to-do lists, address books, manage projects, etc...

Tallyzip can centralize much of the information you need for your business so that all of your activities are recorded directly into your dashboard and you can ascertain right away which clients have unpaid invoices for instance or which task deadlines are coming due. What makes Tallyzip different from similar small business online CRM software is that it takes a “social CRM approach,” allowing you to use Tallyzip for communicating with clients, employees and vendors ala Facebook style.

Quotiply literally helps with the purchasing process by automatically collecting, rating and assessing offers and helping small businesses decide the best contender. Quotiply is more than a quoting software that is just assessing various quotes, it also helps to organize quotes online and captures the information in one place. Instead of communicating with all the different vendors you work with for your business via email, Quotiply takes the information and stores it online and a year later when it is time to renew a subscription, for instance, you don’t have to go searching through your email folders for vendor information.
