I have been looking for a workflow based application for our legal practice for 6 months and almost settled for another appointment based system. ActionStep is unique (albeit hard to find). This is a gem.

Pros: Workflow and ease of use. It had dramatically improved efficiency in my firm. Staff used to spend up to 5 hours a day on "administrivia" and no this had been cut to less than 1 hour per day
Cons: Nothing
Best Uses: To run all aspects of my legal practice

We've been using ActionStep for the last 5 years and we've found it very easy to use. The support has also been outstanding.

Pros: We could throw out all out internal servers and run the whole business on the web. Also our accountant can log in and assist us remotely and do end of years journal online. Nice touch!
Cons: Not much really. It would be nice if it handled personal email too. Currently it only handles business email.
Best Uses: Project management and accounting mainly. But also for contacts, calendar and email.
