Pros: Impressive performance and Active directory seamless integration. integration with VMware's ESX/VirtualCenter for Virtual Desktop hosting, and built-in support for Remote Desktop Protocol.
Cons: Deploying Sun VDI means IT managers must embrace and manage Solaris in a Windows world, which could limit its reach.
Best Uses: Combine it with Sunray ultrathin clients. With the smartcard reader, the token associated with the smartcard can be tied to a particular user or desktop pool so that when users log in, the appropriate virtual desktop is automatically launched
