Review for Sofon Guided Selling

Fri-Jado is active in the food retail and food service markets in the area of refrigeration, electrical engineering, store automation and safety. We use Sofon as a product, project and sales configurator. Putting together and organizing a complete supermarket is a big challenge. Each different section in a supermarket is dependent on what is already available or will become available in the supermarket. Sofon takes everything into account and even makes sure that we only sell profitable orders. In the past, errors could easily slip into quotations and into production. With Sofon, mistakes can no longer be made. Not even by new colleagues. They are productive within a few weeks. Previously, half a year’s training was necessary.

I'm a sole proprietor who provides internet services and also sells software licences of different types. By integrating Socket I have been able to streamline sales of these products to a wider audience, augmenting my existing sales channels, with very little effort.

Pros: Easily-configurable and flexible system. Friendly and helpful support. Responsive to customer needs. Transparent policies; no BS. Works well for small players and big businesses.
Cons: I haven't received any Socket stickers or free t-shirt, yet.
Review Context: I'm a sole proprietor who provides web hosting services to small businesses, as well as software sales to end user and site licencees.

Feature rich and great integration with my backoffice

We have been using Netsuite CRM and eCommerce for 2 years. We have been satisfied with the functionality, integration and usability. The integration between the CRM, and eCommerce is really powerfull. We used to use 5 different applications to do what we now do with NetSuite. It is expensive but if you can afford it, the benefits outweigh the costs

Pros: Real-time, role-based dashboards,ability to integrate seamlessly with the back office. Multiple currencies, multi-location inventory, and even multiple companies are supported
Cons: not the cheapest solution out there
Best Uses: If you’re looking for more than just standard customer relationship management (CRM) functionality, then NetSuite CRM+ is a solution to consider

We have used this tool to streamline our quoting (and ordering). It allows us to work entirely within Salesforce.com from anywhere in the world. Key for us was the ability to find products that matched certain criteria so that any user could issue great looking quotes in a few minutes

Best Uses: Built into the configurator is a rules and calculation engine which means we can instantly see the effect on our margin as key criteria is changed. Also improved ability to forecast

Overall experience with this app has been very good. When I first started researching into a quoting system one of WebSource's competitors actually recommended their product to me since we were looking for a product that didn't take major time and cost to get the system up and running. We were able to configure the system on our own with great support from their Pre-sales and Support team. Their support has been very responsive and knowledgeable. Our sales team is very pleased with the flexibility and ease of use of the product and the management team with the approval process. We highly recommend this product.

Service Sidekick has been instrumental in getting our operations to run smoothly. When we were shopping for software we kept on finding that other software packages were very redistricting. SSK did not require us to have an in house server, and it also integrated with our accounting software. These two point save us over $10,000 and the is just infrastructure cost. We regularly go to meetings with other businesses in our trade, and when comparing operations software SSK always make us look like Pro's.

Pros: SSK is cloud base. It can be accesses any where. It is also easily and inexpensively expandable to mobile users. It is constantly being upgraded without the need for us to install update. The staff of SSK is always listening to user suggestion.
Cons: There are not so many cons as features we want to add to this software. Many of witch I think are in the process of being added. The reporting side of the software could be improved. We are still putting Tech data in to excel. Work I don't want to do
Best Uses: Small to medium service industry businesses that operate 1 to 10 technicians.

That said, the aspects that make this product terrific are the same that also make the product limited. There are not a lot of bells and whistles here – so if you need a product that is very straight-forward and specific in scope – such as sending out proposals and nothing more, then Quoteroller is for you. It will help you save and organize your proposals and client information. If you need a more robust product, you may opt for a CRM solution that will not only manage your business proposals, but also help you transfer proposals and estimates into invoicing, send your reminders to contact your clients about the proposal, offer more template choices, import Excel lists and more. If you are interested in a holistic solution that does everything in your small business at a fraction of the original cost, then you should consider this app. I think the main value for this solution lies in its ability to condense much into a simple and easy-to-understand interface.

A new genre in PDA Apps, an interesting and highly udseful suite of Apps for young people in business

A very useful suite of apps covering management, leadership and sales. I was in the training publishing business for 23 years and so looked at these with some professional background in the subject. They seem to us to be day-today guides as they are billed and targeted at young people in business. As guides they work exceptionally well, I had 3 of my people use them for a week and note what difference it made to their day to day activities. The most impressive was that there interaction with me (President) improved markedly. They came to the monthly sales meeting with a much stronger attitude and better prepared than ever before. They had various perspectives on the useability of the apps: 1. "Very easy to navigate and intuitive in use" 2. "Some ideas had to be thought about before you rushed ahead" 3. "It was useful to discuss the concepts between us and figure out the best way to use the ideas"

Pros: Easy navigation, simple and useful ideas that work, a proper day-to-day guide rather than a 'book' Very professional production, a useable style, excellent content
Cons: Could have more content, these work for young people and I look forward to a set for more experienced managers and sales people in the future
Best Uses: Day to day useage seems to work the best, be focused about applying the ideas and you will get a lot back
