Nice interface which includes many convenient features

Getting started with Xero is really easy and intuitive. It has a nice set of features to cover most accounting needs. I would recommend it especially because usability and thorough data management makes it a viable option for a range of individuals and businesses. There is even an option to open the system to your accountants

Review for FreeAgent
Clean and easy to use interface

FreeAgent is an easy to use accounting system with integrated proposal, invoicing, expense and mileage modules, as well as the usual accounting functionality like VAT and bank account reconsolidation (explaining all transactions). We find that it offers good value and saves us time and hassle. Declaration: we offer FreeAgent to our clients but have tried to keep this review as objective as possible for the sake of credibility. We do use FreeAgent ourselves after having reviewed a few online accounting systems.

Pros: - Clean and easy to use interface - Easy and professional invoicing with email templates and automatic reminders - Integration with Google Apps (single sign on - universal navigation) and Capsule CRM - VAT calculations with easy linking to HMRC
Cons: None so far. It would be great if we could have an even deeper integration with Capsule and perhaps other CRM's as well?
Best Uses: We use it together with Google Apps and Capsule CRM. The first giving us Single Sign On where we can start FreeAgent from the Google Apps menu. The latter allows us to export organisations to FreeAgent and gives us additional financial data.
Review Context: We are cloud IT specialists and decided to advise FreeAgent to our clients after having reviewed a number of online accounting systems.

FinancialForce Accounting is an accounting software package that transforms data and processes of traditional standalone accounting packages into exciting 360 degree views of your company. The interface is split into two panels and looks very much like an Inbox. A FinancialForce.com consultant is assigned to each client. The consultant guides clients through the implementation process, provides an overview of the application, and assists in data migration.

Pros: Excellent software for a great price
Cons: None that I can think of
Best Uses: If you are looking for a cost-effective solution that integrates seamlessly with Salesforce CRM and moves accounting beyond excel sheet chores, then this solution is definitely for you.

Provide a full range of accounting capabilities, including integrated banking data and reconciliation, general ledger, accounts receivable and payable and more. It usually requires a full project plan to be deployed but with the appropriate commitment, there's not much else that can provide the benefits and advantages of this integrated solution

Zoho Invoice is an online invoicing software from the Zoho product family, which creates and exports your invoices online. Once an invoice is sent, you can track it or send automated payment reminders and follow-ups. There are many invoice options from which you can choose, such as taxes, discounts, currency, invoice terms, customer notes and so on. Another positive feature is that you can create estimates or quotes for your clients. The software is intuitive enough to start right away generating invoices. Apart from the basic free version there is a paid one, which allows you to dispatch up to 1,500 invoices per month and create five different users.

Ideal for complex accounting tasks

QuickBooks is one of the easiest accounting tools that I have ever used. Neither the usage nor the reporting creates any difficulties. The invoices are highly customizable and you can contact customers with overdue invoices directly via Gmail or Hotmail. The reports that you can create with QuickBooks are very detailed and as well customizable. Of course, you can export the reports to Excel. QuickBooks Online Banking module is quite complex but managable.

You can throw that expensive on-premise accounting software away and access your account books from anywhere, including multiple time zones. You can also tailor roles according to employee and customer preferences. In addition, you can run reports for a wealth of financial data and tailor access to information based on customer preferences.

Pros: Intacct is very responsive to new suggestions, customers can submit ideas and vote on which features should be included in the product on their support forum.

Fantastic Product

I really like Liveplan and I still do as I'm using it on a regular basis. Very easy to use, tons of examples in all the sections which is really helpful. I was able to share the plan with my colleague without giving him my login details which I found quite useful as my colleague is located abroad.

Pros: The price!!! I looked around and I think this app beats the others I looked at in terms of price for what is offered. Also the examples were a pro and definitely the financials. I hadn't a clue how to do them previously so that was a big help.
Cons: Nothing I really disliked about it to be honest.
Review Context: I'm currently writing a business plan and hoping to start my business within the next month or so Liveplan obviously is help me with the plan.
