Modern Booking System

This is a great system for small to medium sized hotels and guesthouses. Clever design means it's quick to set up and easy to use.

Pros: Very easy to set up, easy to maintain, easy to use. Web based back end system looks good and it's brilliant not to have to install anything on a comp. Free trial. Developer is very quick to respond to issues raised and has fixed things effectively
Cons: The front end booking engine is a little basic and offers no customisation over layout/appearance. It might be nice to have a payment processor built in rather than Paypal.
Best Uses: I have used it on one of my clients web sites and it's already bringing in customers.

I super dig how easy it is for my staff to make bookings! The back-end system is a very powerful booking utility and I highly recommend it to any tour or event organization company!

Bookatonce keep it simple

The system allows to book anywhere you are with your iphone. You can from sales perspective deal directly with your customer and quote their demand instantly. You avoid overbooking because all the systems are linked to bookatonce and the availability is shared with the hotel, on line tour-operators, and central system of reservation (chain, affiliate program...). You enforce the loyalty program because all the details of your client will be in the 360° view with all data (past stays, future bookings, preferences and revenues).

Pros: Is the first system for hotel to propose a direct connection to the pms software. The hotelier can in 20 min have a full system of mobile reservation when he decide to register bookatonce and get the app.
Cons: For a mobile application in the iphone we expect more and more functions to be able even to check in the client. The ipad app will complete very well the iphone app and permit the development of the nomad use of bookatonce.
Best Uses: The best use of the bookatonce app is to check in real time the availability of the room numbers to garantee during the phone reservation process that the preferred room or suite will be available.

Review for Checkfront
A great web 2.0 booking solution

I've been using Checkfront since they were in beta (late 2009), and although it was perhaps a rocky start (at least support wise), it's turned out to be a fantastic product. We now have three clients using it and in the process of integrating another two. As a design agency it allows us to offer an integrated booking system without having to commission a batch of developers. Looking forward to see what us up the spout.

Pros: A nice clean interface, and ridiculously easy to integrate for even the modernly tech savvy.
Cons: I'd say rather shy on docs, especially on the dev side. Seems a tad particular that they continue to pump out new features without explaining the last batch.
Best Uses: We have two clients using it to book accommodation, one using it for kayak rentals and tours.

Pros: Spoke to the customer service team - very friendly and helpful. The app works fine. Seems very simple, which is good. You do not have to spend time learning things.
Cons: Was hard to get all the info from their website. But the customer service team was really good, so that was okay.

It's a great system it's as easy as most other systems but if you have complex events and or many events then the advanced form support and event cloning functions save a great deal of time.

Pros: Fast setup for simple events but still has the robustness to setup complicated events like events with many classes happening at the same time and complicated billing needs like special tickets with limited access to the event.
Cons: It takes a little while to learn the system.
Best Uses: We run about 100 educational events per year.
Review Context: I do the event setup for the company(association) I work for.

Virtual Canteen is a food ordering application where employees can order their lunch online. Caterers offering their services indicate in their profile what time they can deliver you with fresh food. Like that you can choose the caterer that suits your lunch hours. When you receive your food you need to send a confirmation in the system, then the cost of the lunch will be debited from your individual account. You can rate the caterers in terms of quality, price and delivery.
