Review for NimbleSchedule
Cheap and Inexpensive Online Scheduling Solution
by Rakesh Sharma on 2012-01-19 13:57:00
NimbleSchedule is a web-based scheduling solution that promises to take the pain out of scheduling. I thought the multiple location feature is an especially thoughtful addition to the interface. The feature enables you to configure shifts across multiple locations. That is where the value of the system goes beyond traditional Excel sheet systems that are good for simple scheduling tasks but fail during complexity. Once details are configured, the system alerts users with text messages or emails. Each employee can enter his or her personal details. In addition, they can swap shifts based on their availability information configured in the system.

Pros: It was very easy to setup and use. They setup all my data for me and started to use it 2 days after I paid the desposit. Clients like us using this type of system as they then know our staff are being monitored.
Cons: It was slightly strange going from a desktop application and excel sheets to a web based system. I wouldn't say that was a con / dislike but just something to bear in mind. The web based system is much better though and with training it was faster.
Best Uses: We use it to track and alert us staff movement at differing sites. I get alerted if a staff member does not turn up. Payroll use it to produce timesheets and import into Sage payroll. Saves them allot of time fiddling with faxed timesheets.
Review for Paymo
Paymo works for my small business

Paymo is a complete billing and record-keeping program that is flexible and simple to use.

Pros: It's web-based, so I can access it anywhere. The charts & graphs are great for visual people. The instructions are clear. The desktop app for Mac is incredibly handy & useful. The invoices are professional-looking. I could go on & on.
Cons: I wish some of the great graphs could be broken down to have the ability to show the same information in a different way - or if there was a way to export the information to create the kind of graph/report you'd like. Maybe this exists - I missed it
Best Uses: Keeps track of all my clients. Keeps track of time spent on each project. Makes it easy to invoice projects that have both timed work and billed expenses. Very helpful visuals to see on which projects work was spent each week.
Review Context: I am a sole-proprietor with one employee who handles finances. I can easily enter my time and expenses - and he can take the information straight from Paymo to handle all billing and record-keeping needs.

Review for Timesheets.com
Best for small businesses with at least five or more employees
by Michelle Nachum on 2011-05-30 08:37:56
Timesheets.com is one of the most robust and thorough applications I have seen in this space. That said the solution is probably best for small businesses with at least five or more employees – for smaller companies Timesheets.com might be a little too robust. Never-the-less, Timesheets.com does offer small businesses an affordable and sophisticated product to manage employee time. For businesses that cannot afford a lot of bells and whistles, Timesheets.com does a nice job of providing scalable solutions to meet smaller budgets.

by Jo Nelson, RN on 2012-02-17 19:11:58
We have been using the Chronotek for our home health agency for years now, and there just isn't a better system out there! The staff is amazing and very helpful when problems or challenges arise, and there's nothing they won't do to try to help.

Review for ShiftPlanning
It has a fairly simple and easy-to-use layout
by Rakesh on 2011-03-16 14:32:25
Even though, it does multiple things at the same time, ShiftPlanning has a fairly simple and easy-to-use layout. The interface follows a two-panel format screen (with an exception for the front page, which has an extra panel to display customized shifts). The layout has been segregated into five main tabs: Time clock, schedule, staff reports and admin. You can complete the task directly on the screen itself or iterate onto another screen. The Schedule tab is the crux of your operations. There are four buttons – Published, Available, Trades, and Vacation – that enable you to segregate your published schedules. Pros: ShiftPlanning is a great product for organizations that need to scale quickly but do not have the time, resources or capital to invest in a full-fledged solution.
Cons: If you are looking for a rich feature set such as dynamic allocations or customizations exclusively for your organization, you might be disappointed.
