Pros
The filter copy and paste option make it so easy for me to batch edit pictures for clients, helping me save time. Although many feel that it's super expensive, I think that it's worth the price.
It has tools that facilitate the editing process, helping those who don't have much experience. I like the option to be able to save specific changes and use them as presets.
It has powerful features, it's relatively easy to use compared to Photoshop, and it's easy to edit and adjust photos during the workflow. I also liked the tagging options in Lightroom.
Cons
Whilst this was undertandable, the forced upgrade happened part way through me editing a client's wedding photos which meant I lost an evening running upgrades rather than editing.
The only thing I dislike about this software is the amount of batter and power it takes to run it.
It forces me to import full directories from my hard drive, and while that is ok if there are only a few photos in a folder, it becomes very inconvenient if each folder has hundreds of photos.

One stop shop!

Reviewed 5 months ago

Overall, the good far outweighs the negative and Lightroom has become an irreplaceable part of my workflow.

Pros

Lightroom has really grown over the years to become a nearly one stop shop for photo editing needs. Unless you are making drastic alterations to a photo where Photoshop is required, Lightroom can handle a majority of the workflow and also integrates well with organization and has features that allow for the upload to your website via plugins.

Cons

Over the years adobe has moved away from single license pricing to a cloud based subscription model and updates occasionally have bugs that take a bit of time to resolve, especially for Mac products.

A Image editing software everyone must use

Reviewed a year ago

In my honest opinion, I feel that lightroom is the best color grading software I have ever used. The filter copy and paste option make it so easy for me to batch edit pictures for clients, helping me save time. Although many feel that it's super expensive, I think that it's worth the price. It's a great value for your money.

Pros

I started using it about five years ago. For the longest part of my life, I did not understand why I should edit a picture. But when using editing Lightroom, I saw the quality of my images go to another level. That makes it one of the best photo editors available today. If you know how to use Lightroom, you can do some premium editing. I have never seen such a variety of filters in any other application. It provides some next-level editing. There is the convenience of being able to copy and paste the same filter you wish to use on a few or even all images, which saves time on back-to-back editing.

Cons

There's only one thing I don't like about Lightroom, which is exporting the files to Photoshop to perform intensive image retouching. Because I am knowledgeable about all Adobe Creative Suites, this is not a big deal for me.

Lightroom, tried and true but tiring monthly subscriptions.

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, I enjoy Lightroom. I would probably still be using it to this day if it weren't for the mandatory subscription service.

Pros

It's Lightroom. Adobe has set the bar for all photo editing software with Lightroom. Optimization is great for just about any PC I've ever used and it's downright reliable for users from any level of experience.

Cons

Monthly subscriptions. I've used Lightroom for years, well before the subscriptions started. It's hard to justify paying for the program every single month when I don't use it often enough and there are other programs without subscriptions that work just as good.

It is essentially highly user-friendly and easy to use, making it simple for anybody to adopt.

Reviewed 3 months ago

I've been able to complete large amounts of picture processing in less time than I'm used to with other tools, while also handling more automatic operations in a highly user-friendly interface.

Pros

Simple method for putting cinematic colors and filters on photographs and then batch-processing many images with the same settings and filters to preserve all of them.

Cons

Some simple Photoshop functions may be added to Lightroom to make it a one-stop editing tool for any novice. This can have a significant impact on user experience and use.

Adobe Lightroom for photographers

Reviewed 5 months ago

Overall experience is good I usually use Lightroom with Photoshop so I do the "deeper" editing in Psd and the "mood" in Lightroom.

Pros

I really like that I can use filters on multiple photos and actually work on more of them at the same time.

Cons

I don't like the way of importing photos. I know there is a lot of them and the software needs some way to do it, but I would prefer some easier way.
