Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Jenni overview
What is Jenni?
Jenni is a cloud-based AI writing platform designed for academic and professional writing workflows. It integrates a document editor, AI autocomplete, citation management, a research library, AI chat, and editing commands into a single workspace. AI Autocomplete generates sentence suggestions grounded in the document's context, headings, section prompts, and cited sources. AI Chat reads the full document and uploaded library to deliver cited, source-attributed answers, with filtering by publication year, impact factor, citation count, and preprint status. AI Editing applies rewrite, simplify, translate, or strengthen commands to selected text. Every AI-suggested claim is linked to a traceable source, and the Reviews feature cross-references all claims against uploaded sources, flagging unverified or speculative content across six issue categories.
Citation Management searches academic databases and formats references across 10,000+ styles, including APA 7th, Chicago, Harvard, IEEE, Vancouver, and journal-specific formats, with automatic bibliography generation. The Research Library stores uploaded PDFs and imported collections from Zotero, Mendeley, and BibTeX, searchable by content and metadata. Source Quality Review detects retracted, outdated, or over-concentrated citations before submission. Documents export to .docx, LaTeX, or HTML, and import is supported from Word, PDF, Zotero, Mendeley, BibTeX, or DOI. The platform is accessible via desktop and mobile browsers with an optimized interface; no native mobile app is required.
Jenni serves individual researchers, students, and professional writers, as well as research teams and institutions through team and enterprise plans. A freemium plan is available; paid plans are offered on monthly or annual billing, with purchasing power parity discounts in eligible regions. User data, including text, prompts, citations, and uploaded files, is not used to train or fine-tune AI models.
