I am happy overall quality of the software.

Easy way to do project takeoff

I think this software is very easy to customize. Because when i m doing my project estimation through this software i can customize as what i needed. Many Option is there to do so. 

Easy to Customize 

Planswift is like an open-source, do-it-yourself platform.  It is awesome in it's capability to write what you need and even design the input screens to look very clean and professional.  But negatives come with that...it's not good at all for multiple users, you have to define all your own processes and there is little to no bid-level abilities with the software.  Most of the great reviews for Planswift are based on the Takeoff aspect.  They are correct.  But the estimation side is only great for a single, hands-on user.

As an estimator, I would definitely choose PlanSwift all the time when it comes to construction estimation and takeoffs. It is very efficient and user-friendly, making me more productive in my work.

Best estimating software for the building construction industry

It was easy to follow and consistency on doing the take-off and estimation. Highly recommended for modern estimating and construction material take-off. Thorough, interesting and focus to learn this software will make easy to any estimators on their line of expertise.

Great Time Saver

PlanSwift is my partner for my freelance work  for Estimating Civil Works Quantities

The software boast a lot of function that sound good at the time of purchase.  Several of them make similar promises but when it comes to using the product to the fullest it seems to fall flat of the promise.  Once you get past doing a take off I don't see how anything can complete the estimation process without a lot of extra steps so I would recommend this and any other products for their ability to do the take off but it stops there.

This software works great for basic take off in estimating and is easy to figure out.

They were very responsive while purchasing their software but not so much after spending nearly $1500 for the program, upgrades, and training. I, like many purchasing this product,  am a small business owner.  I purchased during a slow time of the year (working 2-3 days a week). I was told to call ahead to schedule a slot of time where a planswift expert would help train me on how to use the software. This was an upgrade I paid around $300 for. "Call a day or two in advance", I was told to confirm a time that will work. After several attempts of being told that nothing is available for the whole week and sometimes the following week too, I've given up for now. Being that it was a slow time of the year, I was booking my weeks as work was available and didn't really know how my Wednesday two weeks out at 1pm was going to be. Hopefully, I'd have work rather than waiting to learn how to use a software program that I spent 3x as much as I paid for my computer. 

The program seems like a helpful tool for a business owner if they a able to get the proper training.  As of now,  I am only using the very most basic functions of the software (Mostly learned on my own, some from the 15 minutes the salesman will spend on the phone teaching you before you buy). After you've paid it is difficult to the training you are entitled to. 

Have someone help you learn to use the product before you pay $1500 with training included.

The detailed budgeting information and ability to export so that the data can be used with other software  is what makes PlanSwift so valuable as an estimating tool.

Allows fairly accurate job costing. And it has a ton of functions that are very useful for so many aspects of construction.

Also, I waited to have my computer rebuilt until I had finished a big project, so I didn't really miss anything that I had lost.

Operations Manager

It will allow you to take off plans in a fraction of the time compared to doing it with pen and paper. It can export all of your takeoff to Excel and makes sending quotes a breeze.

This software absolutely streamlines the takeoff process and then compiles easy to use reports.

Used to do quick take offs for estimating and budgeting purposes. Took a bit of time to get used to all of the tools but is very useful now.
