We have used Sage for over 15 yrs. Several years ago we quit getting upgrades and support just because of the expense of it.
It does everything we need it to.
Ongoing maintenance and updates are expensive compared to others.

I like that all of the individual parts work so well together to produce output that is informative and useful.
I wish that some of the processes weren't so cumbersome. Take Project Management, for example. I understand that the basic building block for this module is the Change Request. But, it's in the middle of the menu, instead of being at the top. It would be handy if menus were ordinated step-by-step.

Customer Support is so helpful, the software has a lot of modules but is necessary for every workers with different tasks.
Integrated software which is not so easy for the first time of use, so I am thankful for your helpful customer support. They are so patient and willing to help me solve my issues on the software so I can understand every part of the modules.
It is not so easy for beginners, but try to explore the entire system and ask the help of customer support and soon you'll maximize the use of the application.

Timberline and timberscan are not visually appealing and the interface is not that user friendly. Things as simple as maximizing the input window or changing the width of columns is troublesome

I have used a few CM software and Corecon has been the easiest to navigate so far.
Corecon comes with several templates, which is a good thing. The difficulty has come when uploading our own templates or when editing existing templates.

I've been using MasterBuilder / Sage 100 for numerous years and I love it. It's so user-friendly that even someone with absolutely no accounting background can catch on quickly.

So far so good, and easy to use comparing to other Software except the HCSS that is primary design for Heavy Civil
Existing Database that not suitable to use for the Heavy civil construction

I have been estimating commercial construction projects for the past 15 years. If you are on the fence with estimating software, look no further than Timberline. I have tried them all and none of them are as fast and refined as Timberline. Other companies put on a good sales show but the application doesn't measure up. We actually spent about $15k on a company's software licenses, and after using it we found it to be slow and klunky. How good is Sage Timberline Estimating? Well, we walked away from $15k to use Timberline. Yeah, it's that good.

Sage is a great program. The only issue that I've encountered is with pulling real-time data from Sage into excel. An additional module formatted to do just this within the program itself would be ideal.

Our current Sage/timberline is very user friendly. The cost is reasonable and affordable. For small construction firms it works as good as other software out there. Its features including accounting, production management, project management, procurement, and reporting and other tools.
It's a good software in the states but can be hard to use in other countries because some of the consultants might be expensive including reports and source deduction. The reports. You can filter on anything which is nice but you can’t add any row (easily).

Sage is easy to learn and has all the tools you need to run a business successfully. I would recommend Sage for all types of businesses small or large.
There is nothing negative about this product. It is very self-explanatory and has all needs and reports for a business of any size. They also help with your year end closings and make sure you have all your updates before needed.

I like the robustness of this product. There are a lot of third party products that interface with it.
It is extremely difficult to work with, and the documentation is either non-existent or embarrassingly unhelpful. I'm used to systems with real audit trails, and I find this product to be a real bear and not at all a good choice. The vendor is good; the product is the issue.

I appreciate the broad spectrum of the program's capabilities and its compatibility with the industry in which I used it (property management.)
We experienced several "bugs" along the way, which is to more or less be expected. Addressing these bugs could be quite time consuming, and customer support was not always the most expeditious in assisting in the resolution of hiccups or issues.

How much it scales. You can put an unlimited amount of projects in this software.

The software is very user-friendly. The support staff has been tremendously helpful during the transition stage.
Our biggest issue with Sage is the extra steps we have to take to write a check. In order to write a check and link the information to the vendor, we have to create an invoice. It would be nice to be able to simply write a check without those extra steps.
