Pros

Webstorm is very easy to use, it has brilliant features that make coding easier and faster, and the ability to work faster through seamless code debugging. My favourite is the code with me feature.
The best thing I like about this software is that it has a great UI design and is good for web designing.
This is very helpful I believe for all the students that are in the computer software industry because with no money we get the privilege of using this awesome tech.

Pros

The Auto Doc Features, Inbuilt Console, Now the Dark Mode made eclipse a good Ide to work on. I recommend to fellows for working on it and the Best Part It's Free.
This is the best IDE for professional developers with ease of access to all the configurations and API integration.
So for different projects and different languages you do not need to switch the IDE. Really loved it and really recommend using it.

Cons

The worst thing about this software is that it is highly expensive.
It is more difficult and appears scary than Visual Studio code. It only has a small selection of colour and file icon themes.
From time to time it is difficult to connect the debugger to newly started Docker containers. It is difficult to connect each newly started container with the debugger.

Cons

Setting up of eclipse is a tad tiresome. If you are not used to use this IDE, it will be hard to understand the project explorer.
Uses more RAM and becomes slow. Difficult to use for languages other than Java.
Nothing to dislike but it not support web development and it takes more memory location.

Webstorm Is Too Complex but Too Heavy

Reviewed 3 years ago

The program's opening time is too long (I'm using SSD) and it use too much RAM, but don't forget it, it is an IDE. I switched to VS Code because it is lightweight and it can be really functional with extensions. I wasn't use the lots of functions of WebStorm and VS Code has all i needs so I switched. It is all about your needing and computer (If you don't have enogh RAM, WebStorm will become a nightmare).

Pros

- It is all completed Web Programming IDE. - It has lots of functions built-in. - Free for students.

Cons

- Too heavy. For example when I use it, it was freeze for per 4-5 line. (PS: My computer has 8gb RAM). - Too complex and a bit old-fashion UI. - It hasn't enough community plugins.

Best IDE for Javascript & TypeScript Development

Reviewed 2 years ago

WebStorm is overall a whole package for web development. I use it daily for both my work and side projects. I would prefer it to any other IDE or TextEditor.

Pros

Refactoring abilities of the application is great. Furthermore, WebStorm is highly extendable with plugins. Default UI is great as well and with themes it is customizable.

Cons

Since WebStorm has many features it is resource intensive application. Application can be optimized further for user's with low-end computers.

IDE that I'm using daily

Reviewed a year ago

This is the IDE that I used to develop angular projects. Earlier I have used two IDEs but with some of their limitations I was ended up with using webstorm.

Pros

Webstorm is a powerful IDE that supports multiple programming languages and frameworks. This gives features like code auto completion, debugging and version control tool integration. I love this as much as I love all other jetbrain products.

Cons

The only thing that I see as a concern is the price.

Solution absolument merveilleuse pour le développement web

Reviewed 2 years ago

WebStorm

The Smartest IDE For JS Developers

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

WebStorm is a powerful IDE by JetBrains specialized in JavaScript and JavaScript framework development. It comes with a lot of developer tools, such as linters, formatters, debugging tools, terminal, and refactoring tools. It analyzes all of the project in the start, and finds all references, usages, and provides improvement suggestions and problems. It is an amazing tool for professional development.

Cons

As WebStorm analyzes all of the files and directories at the start, it needs some time to find references and index the entire project, which can lead to a long boot time. It is not a beginner friendly IDE, with lots of features spread out through the IDE. So, unless the developer has other JetBrains product experience, it will take some time to get used to. It is also a heavy application which takes up a lot of the computer's power and can cause crashes on older machines.

I love this

Reviewed 2 years ago

For me webstorm is is the best IDE available in Jetbrains package. I have been using this for more than six years and I love coding with it. This software is always updated to the current standards and I think that's why it remains as the leader in the market.

Pros

First of all, I love the interfaces and themes are very attractive. IDE supports some of the features like auto imports, availability of plenty of plugins, syntax error detection, easy repository integration, easy debugger and support multiple frameworks.

Cons

Webstorm is expensive when comparing with other IDEs in the market. Need to have at least 8GB RAM because it is using memory a lot.

The best choice when it comes to IDE's for front end development

Reviewed a year ago

10/10

Pros

The IDE is built in such an elegant way that when you develop you start worrying about the little things like auto imports, path resolution and auto complete. And everything comes out of the box too! No need to configure anything.

Cons

As for the features, I do not think I can add anything, I believe the team is doing awesome! The only thing is that it is paid, which stalled me to try it out, however since there is a free period, I did try it and I am still using Webstorm until this day. I cannot go back to another editor/IDE for front end development.

Best IDE on the market

Reviewed 2 years ago

WebStorm is, in my opinion, the best JS and TS IDE in the market. It has everything I need and sometimes much more. Everyone I met and talk about that agreed with me. To tell the truth, I cannot express how I like that software. I was using it in my work and my private projects. However, because of the price, I was forced to change my private IDE to another one, as soon as my student license for WebStorm expired. It was quite hard to get used to a program with fewer functionalities. One small disadvantage of the program itself - is it can lag during indexing - which can be annoying. All in all, I still use it in my work and I strongly recommend it for every Dev or QA!

Pros

Powerful. Widely integrable. A huge load of built-in functions. Big plugin 'shop' with various plugins. Intuitive to use, with the possibility of complicated adjustments and changes - suited for the user.

Cons

For personal use - the price is prohibitive. Sometimes performance is not as smooth as it could be - especially while indexing.

Is WebStorm a good IDE

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall WebStorm is a great IDE, one of the best out there. I was introduced to WebStorm when I started my first year in Faculty. I have been using it since then and writing code, fixing bugs, and making fully functional web pages has never been easier and faster for me. I truly recommend you try out this software, especially if you are a student in the software development area.

Pros

The thing I like about this software is that it gives the students including me a free license to use this IDE and all of the other products of JetBrains. This is very helpful I believe for all the students that are in the computer software industry because with no money we get the privilege of using this awesome tech. Now let me say something about the functionality of WebStorm. It is truly a remarkable piece of software starting with the fact that is very user-friendly. Then you have the best code correction options out there. Not only does it tell you where should you change your code because there is an error or something is off, but it gives you multiple solutions and corrections for you to implement effortlessly with just a click.

Cons

I don't think I can say something bad about this software except for the little hustle when you start your first project and opening projects, but there are a lot of tutorials in order to do that without any problems. Also for those who are not students, the price can be a little high for them when starting, but in my personal opinion, I think it is worth it to try out this software(there is a free trial period).

WebStorm

An IDE for optimal front-end development

Reviewed 2 years ago

All in all, WebStrom is optimal for private use as well as for development in a team. In particular, however, it is suitable by the variety of offered templates just to set up a project and test. The versioning and code analysis supports the developer without patronizing and stopping the development process.

Pros

WebStorm is particularly convincing due to its modular structure and user-friendliness. WebStrom takes up the modularity of frontend development and implements it in an IDE that is oriented towards the development process. WebStorm convinces by the customizability through plugins, by the possibility of versioning for private projects but also for team projects as well as by a comprehensive selection of framework templates. WebStorm also facilitates the development of high-quality code through the code analysis in the background, which supports the code and project structure through author completion and intelligent commenting.

Cons

From time to time it is difficult to connect the debugger to newly started Docker containers. It is difficult to connect each newly started container with the debugger. It would be better if one debugger could be started per container.
