Are you looking for a task app for Android to help you organize and manage your ever-growing to-do list? Look no further.
There are a ton of available solutions on the market, and whether you're looking for a way to organize your task, or your team, you're bound to find one that'll suit your ever-pressing need to get things done.
Below is a list of task management apps for Android that'll help you create, complete, and cross off all of your tasks. Each app is available in web format too, so that you can keep track of your tasks whether you're on the go, or at the office.
Asana is one of the leading task management and team collaboration solutions for the web, and it's popular Android counterpart is the perfect option if you're looking for a task app on-the-go. With the ability to create to-dos, tasks, and reminders; set due dates and attach files to your task; and communicate with team members in comments or posts, it's great for both team task management and individual task organization.
According to one reviewer in the Play store, "Asana has transformed our team's ability to get things done, and integrated my own to do list into the same environment without confusion."
Pricing: The Android app is free with an Asana Basic account, which is also free. If you want additional features, you can upgrade to Asana Premium for $8.33 a month per user.
Trello is the original when it comes to cards and boards for task management and project planning. Trello's task app for Android offers many of the same features as its web solution, which is one of the most popular task managers on the market. The card and board combo means that you can separate projects on different boards, adding cards to each board for different tasks. Within each task, you can add to-do lists, attach files from Google Drive or Dropbox, and upload photos and videos.
One Google Play reviewer writes, "My teams uses Trello for daily tasks, our usage of emails has reduced by 20% thanks to trello! It organizes tasks, tracks progress, assigns members and allows attachment. Very simple and easy to use, love it!"
Pricing: Trello for Android is free, as is the web app. If you're looking to add more users to more boards, you can upgrade to the Business version, which costs $8.33 per user per month.
If you're looking for a combination project and task management app, Projectplace for Android is a great option that offers a ton of features. Like Asana, you can manage both personal and professional task lists and attach files. Like Trello, you can create cards with organized to-do lists and move them along as you progress in your tasks. It's also ideal for collaborating, with the ability to assign tasks to others and comment on shared tasks.
Says one reviewer, "We needed a task and project management system for our landscape business and managers. Looked at several options including to do list[,] any do[,] Trello[,] and many others[.] Hands down project place is the best!"
Pricing: Projectplace's Android app is free, and its desktop solution offers a free plan for up to five users and one project. The next level up is the Premium account, which runs at $49.99 a year per user for 10 users and three projects.
To do ist, or not to do ist- that is the question. Well, if you're looking for a task app for Android, Todoist might be the answer to that question. Todoist is a popular solution among Android users because of its back to basics functionality as a "checklist-first" app. Offline access and automatic sync across devices, recurring tasks and natural language due dates (ie. Finish this by next Thursday), and the ability to prioritize and color code tasks, makes it really easy to stay organized.
If you're working with a team, you can set weekly or monthly goals, share and assign tasks, and connect with other software that you're using, thanks to an integration with Zapier.
A Todoist user writes in the Play store, "So far so good, it is everything I needed it to be and then some. Excellent tech support as well, very timely response and helpful with an access issue I caused when I first signed up. The add-in with Outlook is great. You can easily turn emails into tasks. Very flexible labeling, filters and easy search capabilities to find tasks. I've set mine up to follow GTD (getting things done) philosophy…"
Pricing: Todoist is free. Upgrade to the Business version for $3 per user per month.
Among one of the most popular task manager apps in the Play store, Any.do for Android is a powerful option that offers all of the essentials: quick sync, reminders and notifications, a homescreen widget, and shared task lists. The cooler features come in the form of drag and drop for tasks, swipe features to let you cross off completed tasks, and sensors that remove tasks from your list when you shake your phone.
You can also add emails as to-dos simply by forwarding them, as well as attaching files, thanks to a Dropbox and Google Drive integration. You can also make calls, send emails, and even make purchases straight from the app.
According to one review on Google Play, "Any.do has many features but doesn't flood or clutter your screen. The minimalist look has an affect on my "to-do anxiety". The GPS, pop-up, and heads up feature are very effective. It is great at reminding me without being annoying or over-bearing…"
Pricing: The basic version is free, with the option to unlock more features with the Premium version starting at $2.99 a month or $26.99 for the year. The Business version will cost you the same at $2.99 per user per month, or $26.99 per user for the year.
Another wildly popular solution for mobile users, Wunderlist is a task app for Android that'll help you and your team check all of your to-dos off the list. Its clean and simple design lends itself well to a frill-free task management solution, one of only few on the list that can hold its own on Android without the need for a web version (although it has that too). With individual and shared lists synced across devices, photo and PDF attachments, sub-task creation, and recurring tasks, Wunderlist offers all of the basics for quick and effortless task management.
One Android reviewer raves, "I could not give this app anything but 5 STARS because I was tired of trying to find an app that does exactly what this one does. A clean, easy, and simple way to list anything in a way that was uncomplicated with the features that that (sic) fit the plan…"
Pricing: Like all of the apps on this list, Wunderlist is free. Upgrading to the Pro or Business version for additional features costs $4.99 a month (per user for Business), or $49.99 per year.
