Pros

The online portal is excellent as well; there's a whole community ready and willing to assist and help you get better at using Alteryx. Very impressive software.
Great assistance from Altyrex - committed resources at no cost to help implement, train etc. A lot of willingness to help us 'prove' the business case - i.e. make a success of the pilot project.
No coding experience necessary, seamless integration with Tableau and SQL, great workflow icons and capabilities, great automation.

Pros

There are premade templates that are great, and provides awesome insight on how powerful the software really is. I frequently use their social media calendar, and the project list.
I like to see a whole month's worth of content at one time. It is also super helpful that one team member can upload content and another can download from a different location.
I love the low price-point and the amazing customer service they have, by far one f the most powerful low-cost database/spreadsheet tool out there.

Cons

The only small complaint I have is that some of the error messages themselves are cryptic and convoluted.
Occasionally, Alteryx will stop processing a workflow because of a minor error. Frequently, that minor error has a handful of different solutions, forcing you to try each solution one by one.
Previously I had to restart the Alteryx service on my machine at least once a week, which meant my workflows weren't running while the service had been stuck and data wasn't moving.

Cons

What I dislike most about this software is that I cannot type extended sentences in one box. Whenever I try to paste a long sentence or paragraph the words go into the rows beneath.
Some features around forms are notably missing and it is hard to integrate work-arounds.
It was a mess trying to get it set up. Initially it was set up with separate paid spaces and then trying to get everything onto an enterprise plan was a huge headache.

Great resource for interior designers.

Pros

Being an interior designer, I have to keep track of all the items I'm selecting for my clients. This makes it super easy.

Cons

High cost. It's great but quite pricey.

Flexible, friendly, bit of a learning curve

Since starting a freelance business I've realized that organization is key, and the bases I've created in Airtable keep me on top of deadlines and keep everything in one place.

Pros

I use this for project management and found that the ability to toggle between spreadsheet mode and calendar mode was a lifesaver—no more importing schedules into Google calendar because it's all right there. I also use the page designer to create briefs and invoices. The integration with SendGrid also keeps it simple to contact clients with personalized emails with a single click.

Cons

For those with no database experience, it does take a while to learn. I also wish the page designer was a little more robust (for example, a searchable font choice window instead of simply scrolling through all fonts alphabetically).

Just getting starting, but love everthing so far!

At the company I am working for, we took all of our spreadsheets on Google Drive and put them into Airtable. At this point, I cannot speak to their customer support as I haven't had to use it yet. Can't wait to see what the rest of the team thinks of it though.

Pros

I am a designer so a very visual person and I despise spreadsheets. I am learning to love them with Airtable! I kind of actually enjoy it even. It's pretty easy to use and I like that you can connect spreadsheet data. I absolutely love the asset management capabilities. It's nice to have different views as everyone works differently. The templates are another awesome touch.

Cons

Honestly, we haven't used it long enough yet to have any complaints. Only a few weeks.

Use it every day and tell everyone

I am using Airtable to list all my products, including calculations of retail price based on cost of goods, labor, and my formula for markup. I also use it to list editing jobs completed by my retoucher, including the formula to calculate her pay based on the net profits on the order. I also use it to track clients and orders, vendors, expenses, ect. Fpr my personal projects, I use Airtable to list all of my (many!) amigurumi patterns categorized by animal, which designer created each, yarn orders, and which patterns I have made with which yarns.

Pros

I am a visual person. The design of the Airtable interface and the way it lets me view my information just as I want to make it a "must-have" in my book. Additionally, I love the power of relational databases but setting them up myself is too time-consuming. Airtable makes the power of a relational database almost effortless to use.

Cons

Airtable is not a spreadsheet. So, displaying sums for things like expenses requires some creativity with lookup and rollup fields, but it is doable.

Life-changing tool

Pros

One of my colleague introduced me to this software a couple of months ago, and it's been really life-changing on so many levels. I've always hated Excel, probably because I have never really figured out how it works, and I could do with Google Spreadsheet, but this is a whole new level. The possibilities with Airtable are endless, and it's so easy and fun to use, it probably took me less than an hour to breeze through the features and start using it. As a product designer, so far I have used it mostly to log in and classify feature requests, and for heuristic analyses of our product. But the kanban view is also perfect for tasks planning, and my husband and I have even started using it on a personal base to plan for the arrival of our new baby!

Cons

Nothing really. I didn't really look into blocks and more advanced features, but I'm 100% happy with everything I've been using so far.

An amazing platform that seems to have forgotten about some of the basics.

Airtable is about 90% perfect. My experience has been mostly positive and I would definitely recommend the platform to a friend. I just wish a few features would be built out to completion.

Pros

Airtable is a solid platform in most aspects. The UI makes sense, there aren't too many bugs, and the features, for the most part, are extensive. It's very agile, so I'd imagine most industries could use it. I personally use it as a glorified spreadsheet for information that is extremely easy to share with others.

Cons

The desktop client needs a ton of optimization. The PC I'm using is decked out and Airtable struggles and is very choppy when scrolling through spreadsheets when there are more than a few columns. This gets worse if you have attachments in the cells. The page designer app could use some love. It's usability is inhibited by the lack of design features. There is no way to upload your own icon for...
