A handy tool in program evaluation
A very user friendly software with a lot of functions that help produce quality data analysis and and reports. Auto coding allows fast impressions of how the data is organized
the trial version is too limited, so i just more features could be added especialliy the umber of records the version can handle
Dear Andrew, Thank you for your feedback on ATLAS.ti. We're glad to hear that you've found ATLAS.ti to be user-friendly and helpful for producing high quality results. Indeed, in our 2022 user survey, we found that 97% of our users valued the ease-of-use of ATLAS.ti. Thank you for your feedback on our trial version. It's important to note that our trial version is indeed a fully functional version of the software. The trial version allows you to explore all of the features without any limitations for up to five days within a 45-day period. This means that you have five days of actual usage, rather than five consecutive days that automatically count down. After the trial license expires, the program will default to a restricted version that still allows you to view projects of any size and create and edit small-sized projects. Starting with the free trial version is a great way to begin your project, and when you're ready to get a license, you can pick up right where you left off. If you have any further questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact us at general@support.atlasti.com. We wish you all the best with your project and hope that ATLAS.ti continues to be a valuable tool for you.

Its crucial for students to pay attention to the licensing terms of the QDA software they wish to use. Its important to NOT get caught into using proprietary software that expires and no longer allows the use of the purchased version. If it weren't for this issue, I'd be using AtlasTI as it is certainly one of the most full-featured QDA applications
AtlasTI has all of the features that a modern QDA application could hope for. As a geographer, I was especially impressed by the ability of AtlasTI to work with maps and create geo-documents. Geographic locations can be coded and documents (text, video, audio) can be attached to specific geographic locations. This is a brilliant feature that many other QDA applications do not have. The interface for coding video is clear and very easy to use. Its easier to use than another major QDA tool that I work with. The company has plenty of documentation available for users to consult, and many instructional videos can be found easily online and on the company's website.
There's very little to dislike about AtlasIT. Its outstanding and robust. The company's policy regarding student licenses however, leaves much to be desired. Student licenses are valid for only 2 year and will expire. If you are a grad student who expends hundreds of hours on coding and analyzing your data with AtlasIT, you'll find that you are unable to continue to work on your project after you graduate unless you buy a commercial license. The expenses will add up rapidly. Student licenses should not expire and prevent users from continuing to work with their data using their purchased version of the software.
Hi Ray, thank you very much for your feedback! We're glad to hear that ATLAS.ti's maps and geo-documents have helped you analyze geographic locations. In addition, ATLAS.ti is the only software that offers full functionality (including many powerful tools that use artificial intelligence to automatically code your data) and cross-platform access (Windows, Mac, and Web) in all of our ATLAS.ti Desktop+Web licenses. With an active license subscription, you can also count on all upgrades to new generations of the software completely free of charge. It is very important for us to always be available to help all our users, because our mission is to make qualitative analysis easier for everyone, everywhere in the world. That's why we offer free support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, via chat, phone, and email. We also appreciate your feedback regarding ATLAS.ti student licenses. All full-time students (at any level) are eligible for a student license so that they can use ATLAS.ti at a substantially reduced rate for the purpose of their studies. After graduating, research conducted with ATLAS.ti would no longer be solely for study purposes, which is why an educational, non-profit, or commercial license would need to be acquired. I'm afraid this is simply the legal nature of software licensing, but we always strive to offer a range of options to suit each person. For example, a license for only ATLAS.ti Web can be acquired, and this monthly license bears a much lower rate than the ATLAS.ti Desktop+Web annual license. Finally, it's important to also bear in mind that ATLAS.ti projects are not tied to a specific license, so that even if you no longer have a license, you still have all of your projects saved on your computer and in your full control. You can always pick up work on your projects again at any point in the future with any type of ATLAS.ti Desktop+Web license. Given all this, we believe that your rating of the value for money is unfair. Our mission is to make qualitative research easier for everyone, everywhere. That's why we really value being there for our users and listening to your feedback. If you ever have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We wish you all the best in your research!
