Pros

For simple analytics, it’s a great program. We love the integration of Excel, which is one of the key selling points of this program.
Great support from Birst and the Birst community. Good BItools getting better every three months.
Interface looks nice for the final user and relatively easy to use after a brief training. Looks also powerful and easy to prepare new dashboard.

Pros

Fantastic, involved, motivated customer support team. Infographics are the best new feature to come along in quite awhile.
The team with the company is very responsive and its a pleasure to work with them.
I have had a good run over 30 years using their products. I find them to be the best tool to address various business scenarios using IT.

Cons

Although a necessary evil, if you will, and mitigated by the support of the vendor, it takes a few passes to get your team up to speed. I don't really have anything bad to say about the vendor.
We experienced this problem and thought that it was just an isolated incident that we were experiencing, but when we looked it up on the internet, we saw it’s a common issue.
You're missing a lot of creation/deletion functions and you must always access a space command window to do so. Therefore you have troubles to mass create/delete users without using the API.

Cons

Product lags when trying to do complex queries over multiple databases. Documentation is very weak and vague, if/when you can actually any documentation at all.
M still learning where to click on the screen, which menus, and whether to add computed or defined fields. Also confused on types of hold files.
Clutter of icons during testing, hard to understand where which tools are available without extensive walkthrough.
