Pros
Tableau connector is really the top pick for me among the new features added. Knowledge base is good and the support team has been excellent in their quick response time and resolution time.
Simplicity for data integration, up to 2 hours data freshness, awesome support, reliability of software.
Besides what this tool does which is a great value addition, I like the way the tool has been designed with each component fitting logically and complementary to each other.
Pros
The downtime has been minimal and appears to be getting better as they improve the product. Fivetran is also great value in terms of the service provided and overall cost.
Fivetran is an amazing tool for data warehousing and is really straight forward to setup. We were able to get it implemented in just a few hours of work.
So far we have loved having this service to help us move our data to our warehouse.
Cons
Although we receive notifications of individual errors on download sources - we didn't seem to receive notification when we had brief but complete outage on data.
No standard connections to have sql databases (mysql, postgres, ms sql,...) as a data source, so focus on marketing data only.
Cons
Most of the time I just assume that there is something wrong with the service Fivetran is trying to pull from but there isn't much detail on it/ estimates on when a delayed connection might catch up.
Nothing, just to write something here, we would say that we missed the integration to the Huawei store.
It can be quite costly if you sync a lot of data.
