GitPrime is a productivity analytics solution for software development teams which analyzes data from Git-based code repositories, including GitHub, GitLab, and BitBucket, to measure team productivity, understand individual work patterns, identify areas for improvement, and more.
GitPrime highlights each engineer’s recent work patterns, giving users an at-a-glance view of individual working practices and contributions compared to team averages. Each engineer’s commit risk can also be viewed, and work focuses are also visualized on graphs alongside team averages, covering new work, legacy refactoring, helping others, and code churn, giving users insight into how much work goes into dealing with technical debt and how much is immediately overwritten. Feedback aimed at specific areas requiring improvement is presented to users to be passed on to engineers. A global view of daily progress enables users to track progress made by all engineers across all repositories in a single view.
GitPrime allows users to map any significant organizational events against team productivity, to show the impact of events such as team growth, requirements revisions, and process changes on the average number of commits per engineer, codebase impact, or other productivity metrics. Users can also view a leaderboard which ranks engineers using a score calculated across 5 metrics, including efficiency, impact, commits per day, and tt100 productive (the amount of time required to contribute 100 lines of code, after churn). GitPrime can also deliver daily or weekly digest emails, which include details of daily or weekly impact, work focus, repository focus, pull requests, contributors ranked by impact, and more.
