Basic analytics suite for all the businesses

01/02/2017

Google Analytics is basic and it should be the first analytical asset in your portfolio. If you would like to see only summary statistics and numbers, Google Analytics is exactly what you need. You are able to see numbers of sessions, visits, views of site and sources from which your website traffic came. Moreover, you are able to setup event tracking and see for example, how your button performs, or how people are downloading your PDF document.

Pros

It has many functions and features - my favorite is Enhanced E-commerce. Thanks to this feature, you are able to measure how well your e-shop perform - what are people buying, how many conversion/transactions day did and what are your revenues. It's very useful for every e-shop. Than possibility of event tracking and goals, the set-up is a big plus. Another pro is, that Google Analytics is commonly used - so you will find many guidebooks and how-to manuals. And in the end - it's free.

Cons

The limitation of Google Analytics comes to the discussions when you would like to measure more user-focused interactions. I mean, if you would like to see, what particular user is doing on the website, which button did the user click on. Yes, they have in Google Analytics user-id feature. But it has also limitation - you are not able to assign user activities before he was logged-in to his/her account.

Low cost solution that meets a lot of business needs

29/09/2016

Most of our apps use google analytics, even when we have an enterprise solution such as unica in place. Gives our customer base access to create whatever reports they need and feel that it is very reliable. Sometimes with the way things were required to be tagged in other systems, the business was not able to obtain the info they were looking for. This has always been very reliable

Pros

Easy to implement, reliable, meets lots of business needs

Cons

Seemed that it was not intuitive to figure out how to build the report to get what you were looking for, but I'm sure there is plenty of doc available to figure out how to get what you need

Deep insights and complete analytics

30/08/2016

Google analytics is the best way to monitor your website and track the progress. It is a complete package with all that you need to know about your traffic and users. Hands down the best tool out there.

Pros

Feature rich and has a lot of data to be analysed.

Cons

It's not very user friendly, but it's more about the amount of data that it displays, so can't really blame.

Google Analytics does the trick!

31/05/2016

We use this to track our webpage's analytics...where does the traffic come from, what do they look at, how long do they stay on our page. Highly effective app that does the trick when we can't take the time to log into the Google Analytics website. This app is easy to use and intuitive enough to maneuver around.

Pros

Easy to use. Intuitive. Provides data on the fly.

Cons

Tough on a smaller screen, but works well even on an iPhone.

Good and Free tool for all Sized Websites

08/03/2016

GA is such a useful tool. I trust this tool the most when it comes getting accurate website traffic trends and discovering which keywords will connect with my prospects to most. I also love the amount of customization you can do with it. You're have a lot of control when it comes to setting user permissions, reports, and creating your own dashboards to view metrics that are important to you.

Pros

1. Google Analytics gives me insight into the website or websites I am working on. 2. I am able to login and see visitors, visitor behavior, most visited pages and so much more including how long people visit and what pages they interact with the most. 3. It's super easy to integrate code into Wordpress HTML so you basically don't have to understand hard coding to make a website and see how it performs.

Cons

The interface is a little clunky to navigate. It's not impossible so there's not a huge complaint here. It can be a little hard to put the Google analytics code on your blog html, but with some support googling you can't find the workflow to get it right.

An absolute must for any website

22/09/2015

Google Analytics is a tool that I use daily - checking in first thing in the morning to see the status of a number of website. I find it very useful when drilling down to understand whether traffic/conversions has increased or indeed fallen, allowing me to further investigate possible causes using a number of dimensions. Analytics is completely free (although I believe you can pay for the premium version), so it's a no-brainer. Several users can be added to any one account, with various levels of access to ensure your users only have access to what they need ton use. I would also recommend adding filters to your properties in order to filter out spam visits as well as IP filters to prevent traffic from your business from skewing the results.

Pros

Easy to use lots of support documents to help set up & manage your account It's free! Can be associated with your Search Console account to pull in additional data Lots of ways to track website performance across a number of dimensions & metrics

Cons

You can no longer access all information regarding the keywords that user searched for when they visited your website
