Pros

I believe it is a great asset for any business. Once setup it is extremely easy to use and gives valuable insights to improve and thrive your business.
I love that this is free and easy to use. It's important to set up goals and conversations and then track them over time.
Overall, positive experience using Google Analytics. Has some good points and is free for deployment, and the reports and visualisation give a nice snapshot on the audience base.

Pros

It has a huge built-in library for functions and tools, so it is simple to utilize Matlab when used properly. More importantly, it has a great GUI tool that can make great applications with ease.
MATLAB is super great as it is so intuitive to use. Literally used it in so many of my courses like Orbital Mechanics and Compressible flow.
MATLAB is great for quick prototyping and data analysis. It is easy to learn and has great online support and help documentation.

Cons

I was having problems configuring my Google Analytics, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Some reps seem to be less knowledgeable than you are. Some seem to completely misunderstand your questions and then fail to reinterpret.
In addition my biggest frustration is the correspondence (or lack there of ) between GA and Search console.

Cons

The main downside is that MATLAB needs to make their GUI more minimalist, it's 2020 already. The other thing that I miss is an option to add semicolon automatically after every line.
Matlab is not easily translatable to learning other languages, and it is often the poorer choice when compared to other languages if matrix manipulation is not the goal.
Sometimes new versions of MATLAB will cause previous code to no longer work, which can be very frustrating.

MATLAB is Awesome

Reviewed 5 years ago

I use MATLAB in my organization for applicattion development and data analytics. It works perfectly for these purposes

Pros

Matlab has amazing numerical computation and data visualization features which makes it easy to handle data. It is an amazing tool for data analytics. With Simulink, another of Matlab integration, you can easily do system modeling and test the performance of designs prior to construction. Matlab has it all.

Cons

Like all other high-level languages, it requires a learning period. It is not something you can learn within a day. What makes it less impressive is that the syntax are not very much similar to other high-level languages. Overall, it is not bad at all

We used matlab for making proof of concepts in data analytics. It's a good tool to develop prototypes rapidly.

Pros

Great for implementing and performing complex math operations. Lot of inbuilt functionality. We don't have to implement from scratch. tons of tutorials available online. good community support.

Cons

Expensive, specially now when many opensource alternatives are available. has bit of a learning curve. Solutions implemented in other languages are more efficient, run fasters.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I use Matlab on a monthly basis for analyzing data analytics and charting them to see if our software is performing as expected.

Pros

Matlab can pretty much do anything you want it to. I use it for basic analysis and charting, but it can also be used for super powerful utilities such as machine learning. Many of my coworkers use it for machine learning.

Cons

There is a heavy learning curve with figuring out how to use and how to program using their programming language. Once it's figured out, it is extremely easy and powerful.

Efficient for Data Analytics and Model Creation

Reviewed 5 years ago

I have created several electrical related models and analysed several data sets with Matlab. It is an efficient tool for data analytics. It has a nice GUI as well

Pros

It works well for data analytics, data harnessing and data mining. It is also an essential tool for creating models in whatever form, especially electrical or electronic models as it integrates well with Simulink. It can also generate its own codes from the circuit or model you create and convert to more conventional high-level codes. It is brilliant

Cons

It requires training and special knowledge to utilize. Although, Simulink can be used without necessarily knowing how to code Matlab itself

Overall, Matlab is useful for statistical analysis. Anything beyond this I would not recommend this tool.

Pros

Cons

The items I like least about this product is that the data visualization and analytics beyond statistics is sub par. I wouldn't use this when I have tools like R that can perform better and is more advanced in these fields.

Helpfull solution for for visualizing data and complex modelling.

Reviewed 2 years ago

MATLAB help in our case on data analytics and data processing, algorithm development. Its easy of creating solutions with the simple and intuitive GUI with wizards. MATLAB have many professional packages and toolboxes for complex problems resolutions. The language of programing is like C and there is no need to spend many time in learning code.

Pros

* MATLAB it's useful for data analytics processing and modeling, as there are built-in packages to provide out-of-the-box data solutions. * Code versioning could be integrated in MATLAB, we can connect MATLATB with Git repository, this is usefull I many people is working on related proyects and maintaining codebase.

Cons

* I think the software is a little bit expensive, so it is not directly related to independent individuals. * Sometimes the software presents performance problems, that is not good for users, it may occur when working with sensitive data or modeling. Its performance could be optimized by corp. * MATHLAB uses huge amount of system memory when running heavy simulations.

MATLAB

Will recommend to anyone who is into systems and controls design. My holygrail

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, a pretty great tool for controller development.

Pros

MATLAB is a great tool for data analytics since it has built-in packages that give ready-to-use data solutions. If you have several developers or data scientists working on the same codebase, MATLAB has code versioning built-in so that you can simply link to Bitbucket/Git repositories.

Cons

MATLAB is a large program that takes a long time to install and open. In comparison to Python and other programming languages, MATLAB has fewer third-party packages. While MATLAB programs are capable of doing nearly any operation, accomplishing certain tasks that other languages are better suited to can be a hard process.
