I love from an IT admin point of you how it allows users to build their own reports. Previously we had to write sql queries to get users the custom reports they required. Now users are confident to go in and have a go themselves. The software training academy and weekly live training sessions has allowed users to pick up the software easily.User friendly, very powerful tool. Always new features being added.
I believe their appears to be a bit of a backlog with the dev team currently so a few bugs aren't being resolved as quickly as they used to be.

I love Phocas reporting and this has helped our branches and our operations in a big way, and we can see our company performance as a whole at once. No need to check different reports to analyse data - Use Phocas -all under one umbrella.
Phocas software is highly User firendly than compared to Microsoft Power BI. We were using PBI and attracted to buy Phocas immediately after first demo. The software is fantastic but not necessary for small organisations.
Phoca software is good in all aspecrts but the pricing needs to be revised to accommodate small organisations with minimum modules.

It's important to note that the cons of Phocas software will depend on your specific needs and circumstances. It's recommended that you evaluate each software's (exam. Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, etc.) features, pricing, and customer reviews to determine which one will work best for your business.
I highly recommend Phocas software for any business looking for a user-friendly, real-time analytics solution. The customizable dashboards and robust data modeling capabilities make it easy to create a single source of truth for your organization. Plus, the seamless integration with other business applications and mobile access means you can access critical information from anywhere. And with dedicated customer support, you can be sure you're getting the most out of the software. Overall, I'm very impressed with Phocas software and would definitely recommend it to others.
While Phocas software has many advantages, there are also some potential drawbacks to consider. Users may find that some customization options are limited, and the software can have a steep learning curve for those who are not familiar with business intelligence solutions. Additionally, Phocas software may have fewer data visualization options and may not integrate with all the data sources that your organization uses. Finally, It can be relatively expensive, which could be a barrier for some businesses, especially small businesses.

Using it as a backbone for accounting software and data processing software.
Most applications are SQL related, so you can say it's the leading edge of RDBMS software. Deployment is pretty much automated, as well as backup and restore features are streamlined.
Pretty much resource intensive, needs a fairly powerful server computer, especially if your databases are large in size. Cost is also an option.

Great Database software!
Very easy to use. A very short learning curve.
The setup process could be a bit more more together. The newer versions require that additional features be installed separately, which is cumbersome.

Every begineer in the software industry starts with sql as the backend. So in my optional its great software.
Sql server is the most used software in the market for saving the data in a huge amount. User as well as Client is very much dependent on its data and sql server is the best resource for that. Its easy to use. By security point of view its auwsum. It also having side tools like profiler which is helpful for debugging.
As it is most demanding software in market so the pice rate is high. The CPU consumption is also one of the concern for this.

Hosts our case management software
We use the MS SQL server to host our case management software. It makes searching through thousands of files and millions of pieces of information remarkably simple. There is no question it has increased our efficiency.
It's definitely not the easiest type of server to set up and it's easy to run into errors is everything is not set up exactly the way it has to be.

SQL Server is the best choice of mine.It is really helpful for my campus projects. As a software developer I really appreciate that software.
SQL Server is one of the best software for modern day database access. We can easily write our queries and execute those. It is very useful for software developers. We can create large databases using that software. It has lot of functions and advantages for the users. It is really helpful me to my final year software project.
SQL Server has lot of functions and advantages. But when I try to connect large database with my software, it takes little bit of time to connect. That is the only issue. However it gives the best experience for the users.

I highly recommend this to people working with databases. I liked when I used it for my database class.
SQL Server is an amazing database management software. it is easy to install and highly recommended for managing bigger databases.
The interface doesn't look attractive and the software package size is a bit bigger as compared to the database software.

In this software, we can also import or export the flat files, csv files l, excel files also. So we can update and modelling on it. Performing different types of queries. So overall I'm satisfied with this software.
It is a very good software for performing queries. Create, update, alter even everything like ddl, dml, tcl commands we used on it. Whether it's a table or its a database. We can create also triggers and stored procedure, function also. This platform differentiate the color of syntax like function, keywords etc. Which is very easy to readable of anybody.
I like this software much so there is nothing to tell or write which I face consequences in that software.

This is easy-to-use software. we also load our on-premises data to the cloud with the help of this software which is an effortless for everyone. we can also load here a CSV file or an excel file so we can see our data and change the data priority and make some changes, write some queries, etc.
This is such good software for understanding the query and data. There, we can create Tables, Databases, or anything we want. we load our data here also. we can use data as a sample database to perform the query and syntax. every keyword or syntax or function has a different color of code. there is a line basis of code for eg. if there is any error we can see the particular line so we can reduce our time. we can create triggers, and stored procedures here also.
Honestly would speaking I'm using this software on a daily basis so I couldn't find any lacks here for me this is really too good software for any user including users also new to this software.

A good software, one of the best around.
Continuous improvement and addition of more functions for easy of use. The application is a complete bundle for data management, development and BI.
Limited GUI tool for newbies in database development. Express edition is also very limited, needs to be improved on.

Great stuff--not for everyone, but excellent software.
The software is super powerful--it gives you as much functionality as you would ever want.
It's expensive as opposed to open source options, so you have to decide on whether you need the functionality and support or not.

Overall great. We use SQL Server to ingest our data from our data collection software & it is the database driver behind much of our internal software.
Performance, built in functionality, ease of navigation, etc
Queries cannot be executed with a short command like in Oracle (where use of a semicolon effectively marks the end of a query) - instead you have to highlight (unless I'm aware of some things).

Overall, its great database platform for software development worldwide.
I find SQL server has a great dependency when we talk about databases and its operations in real life. The main feature that I think is the biggest advantage is the Object explorer where you can manage all the tables, stored procedures, and other queries related information.
In my opinion, the interface of the SQL server is something where Microsoft needs to work on. I mean, the user interaction with software should be smooth and easy to use. The functionality can be made easy.

Overall it is a good software which is really helpful to handle data. This is really a reliable software. I will recommend it to everyone to use it.
— intellisense window is the good feature which I love most. —it gives us in-built tool I.e. sql profiler which is helpful to track the queries and performance of the queries. —it has features where you can create queries using joins without knowing the syntax. You just need to add tables there. — it helps us to create jobs and manage the data at per the particular times.
Performance issue for heavy data. It got hanged sometimes. Need to purchase some tools to add more features.
