Especially during Covid when travel to our 4 factories was restricted, the Shiftworx software was very instrumental in allowing me to monitor the progress that our manufacturing equipment was making. The software also allows you to quickly see variances both over time and compared to similar equipment and take corrective actions if needed. The Shiftworx software and freepoint hardware allowed visibility to our oldest and newest machines including Oxy fuel flame cutters, Blanchard Grinders and CNC milling machines. We have made an overall machine efficiency improvement of 15% in the last 2 years using shiftworx to monitor the progress.

Integration into our manufacturing processes was fairly easy. and we have moved the hardware to new machines when making changes and the software was easy to make custom reports.

This simple to use software drives performance on the shopfloor right away. It allows for simple metrics that drive bottom line results. I saw immediate changes to how our machinists decided to process jobs as they got visual feedback of the importance of spindle uptime. At a glance I can see what has happened in the last 24 hours and understand our performance - and so can everyone else in the company.

Sometimes accountability can be threatening. Care needs to be taken when rolling out this software to keep the tone positive. This risk exists with all products in this space and Freepoint does a great job of presenting the data in a positive way. They help drive engagement to overcome this potential risk.

Easy to setup and and install the hardware and software. Had few outages. The concept of tracking machine metrics is not new, made sense for the management and production staff to use a cloud based system rather than paper reports.

*Note we stopped using this over 2 years ago, I assume progress has been made since.. The fundamental flaw in this concept is it requires production staff to immediately manually log in and select reason codes for inactivity. If they do not then the data is inaccurate. We were unable to coax staff to do this, so we did not ever get the value from it. I would only implement this type of software if: a)...

Ability to effectively display production information real time and quickly identify/correct issues as they arise. Also really like the "Time Shift" functionality that has been brought back from previous versions.

When using the same KPI in multiple layouts they are not linked and therefore takes time to update the information multiple times. That's all I can think of at this time.

The product is very easy to use , the best thing I liked about the product is that I can monitor all the spindle time on every machine from the cottage or from the office at work .

Some features I would like to add are scheduling jobs specifically to a machine / operator with real time data .

Added features we needed were implemented and it's a tool we use daily.

There were not really any. it was a plug and play for our machines.

The reporting and scheduled reporting makes it easy for our Group Leaders to provide updates to management and employees.

Some of the date features and type of data could be improved upon however it is always based on the users.

That it allows operators to do their work and get their input into the improvement of the workflow process. It did not impede their work productivity.

It wasn't the softwares fault but making work definitions was slightly different to my processes but once I understood everything was great.

The direct visual bars and KPIs are great for machining/ production. Reporting feature very nice.

Easily deployable by anyone with reasonable ability to follow directions. Dashboard visuals require less setup than many other systems and are focused around real business needs. The price is extremely affordable and you're not forced to use proprietary hardware beyond that which is needed to communicate to the cloud backend.

Please continue to expand the industrial protocols you support. A lot of people that are looking at this system don't have modern machinery and therefore would benefit by support for modbus/tcp as well as proprietary protocols to machines/control systems.

Measuring the efficiency of a machine is critical to our business and then being able to understand the reasons behind downtime improves on our efficiency.

The technical expertise in Australia is limited. When we want a capable service technician it almost impossible without getting a third party involved.

Features and reporting not as good as other products. Post installation support very limited.

After the initial set up, everything has been running rather smoothly. It's great that I can access the real-time data via the web-based dashboard.

I wish that the software could integrate with our ERP system, which would allow me to consolidate the ShiftWorx data with our ERP data.

The idea of this package is great. I like that the program is very easy to use and the amount of options is really great, as an engineer I like the way I can tinker with it.

I have not used it enough to comment on cons. I do have one item I can't get working but I have not reached out to Shiftworx to see if they have any input to rectify.

Great job reporting the data, once the formats for reporting are generated. Took a while to get it up and going, but the team was great working with us to get to that point.

Install on our presses didn't work. Took three tries. Again, customer service was very helpful with this process. Found a lot of quirks in the reporting
