Used a lot of time in the company for data Analysis and found useful insights through the Charts and Data Sheet. The best part of the tool is we can find some pre-templates as well as third-party templates for creating Dashboard for our projects. Our E-commerce company always looking for some marketing insights that will help us in boosting sales. It has integration with almost every application we use in our company. The UI and Dashboard are good, which makes the software more fun to work with.
Didn't find the most dislikes, but I didn't find the integration of Tableau with Google Analytics or Google Ads. There are some third-party plugins, but they are unreliable and untrustworthiness.

We needed someplace that our Data analytics team could build out reports for different marketing teams and could pull data in form numerous sources.
You can see beautifully designed reports for huge amounts of data located in different places, be it Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google or Bing Ads. You name it.
Because it is so robust. There are a lot of functionalities that I'm sure I don't know about it. It's best to have someone walk you through it to help teach you the basics.

Better data analytics
Seems much easier to use and seems to integrate well with SAP Hana graphics are good, and downloads seem quick
Any display is limited to 16 data columns, often need to replicate screens to show different data, this diminishes efficiency

Tableau is a data visualization software that translates raw data into valuable and meaningful insights. It assists businesses in collecting and interpreting data from various sources such as spreadsheets, cloud apps like Google Analytics and Salesforce.
What I love about this is that I can build interactive dashboards through individual reports/worksheets. This platform can really handle large amount of data and complex statistical analysis with ease and gives cohesive results.
I didn’t quite like that there are some limitations to email alert. For example, you can only drag the date range option instead of selecting dates. It’s time consuming. It also takes a while to import data.

I love using Tableau every day for my client analytics needs and recommend it highly to any organization serious about analytics.
I use Tableau every day. It is easy to learn with great tutorials and online resources. It is powerful to extend with lots of plugins. And it produces brilliant charts for clients.
Tableau is great for desktop use, but I'm not a big fan of Tableau's online integration. I've been using Google Data Studio for quick and dirty online collaborations.

I use it to visualize analytics project.
Once you have made yourself familiar with the software, it will become a very powerful tool for visualization.
If you are a beginner or are trying to work on some simple project, Tableau is not the first priority and unnecessary. Try to use it when you have learned how to utilized its functions.

The best part about Tableau is how easy it is to connect to different data sources - Google Analytics, Amazon Redshift, Adwords. Users find it easy to navigate dashboards and make decisions based on work created in Tableau.
Some features are not very straightforward (for instance, working with dates can take time to get used to because of the way they're set up).

A must use in modern-day data analytics
The way tableau helps to visualize data and helps in taking faster-informed decisions.
A beginner would get very scared looking at the dashboard for the first time, so, an AI-assisted on-screen tutorial would help.

Good solid data stories
The product accesses multiple disparate data sources easily, cleans them easily, integrates them easily, and creates data stories easily
The software is historically somewhat weak in the analytics space. It gathers data easily but its ability to perform reasonable analytics lags behind its competitors in that space

Overall, Tableau has an enormous advantage which is the fact that it collects data from many databases. Also, it has a fantastic user interface. I highly recommend it to use it if you have your data dispersed in many databases.
It is one of the most useful platforms to collect data from any database such as SQL database, google analytics, and so on. Additionally, it allows us to interact with plenty of graphics in order to customize a dashboard.
The support of the platform is worthless. I had to watch some tutorials on youtube to solve the problems on the platform.

Very good. Better than other basic visual analytics tools.
Visual Analytics and stories can be easily built. The data capture and the cleansing is much helpful for the development perspective.
When the data is huge, the application is slow and we need to wait for a longer time for the application to respond.

Overall, it is a must have for visualization and analytics.
One can use various tools on it. It would be cheaper for an organization that uses analytics and visualization often to use this software. It provides different user groups to make sure that the data isn't corrupted and also, you can message colleagues on your workspace. They also have good training material.
None so far. But the training material is a bit slow.

Tableau is a great tool to use for data analytics.
Tableau integrates well with various data sources. The user interface offers a good deal of options to view your data from different perspectives and at different levels. I have worked extensively with Excel pivot tables but Tableau takes data visualization to the next level.
The extensive options can be overwhelming at times but the hover-over explanations are extremely helpful.

We needed to see deeper analytics and research to our business.
Some dashboards that we can't see in Salesforce, we have looked for other resources. Tableau has just about everything we need in this category and it helps us dissect our business needs.
I wish that there was some more integration with other softwares so that we could leverage all data in one place.

Tried it in few projects but my confidence is increasing with time so, i might try this with other projects as well.
I started my analytics career with Tableau and then used few other tools and later moved to Google platform to use Google analytics. Now, I only use Google analytics, all the options that google has incorporated in this platform is simply very useful and its not complex at all, with few days of training you can start using it.
You will definitely miss graph options like Tableau but there are positives sides and negative sides.

Google Analytics welcomes you with very good online courses not to leave you completely lost in its complex environment. Once understood, it is fairly simple to configure and customize, in perfect Google style, allowing from the collection of simple data (daily visits, clicks, bounce rate...) to more complex one (revenue per click, time per session...) and gives many possibilities for its utilization (personally I love the immediateness with which you can perform a cohort analysis).
Actually, there are a lot of more complete analytics software, like Tableau, but for SMEs, Google Analytics is more than enough.

Google Analytics is a great way to see our per page analytics on our websites and other platforms and is a necessity.
Google analytics has a great admin dashboard where you can browse through and see your data visualizations with ease. This is the best tool for mobile and web apps. Very simple to setup and requires no additional hardware.
The amount of data sources that Google Analytics offers is not as robust as software like Tableau or Microsoft Power.

Google Analytics is free. And it can do the basics and a little more, including dynamic updating of graphs as you enter more data into the spreadsheet they are based on.
Tableau is a much more powerful software, allowing you to have really granular control over your visualizations and how you are parsing the data. Calculated fields, for instance, or the more complex table calculations. Going from Tableau to trying out Google Analytics was a large step down and inconvenient. If you are looking for a Tableau replacement, this isn't it. However, if you are not looking for that and have more simple needs, than Google Analytics may be appropriate for that specific use case.

This is definitely an important and mandatory software to be used. But, it needs a lot of improvement and with dashboards.
I feel like this is the only application that can track web traffic accurately. This is surely a great addition for marketing folks.
The development of a dashboard for monitoring the KPI is not similar. Instead it has to be integrated with Applications like Power BI or Tableau
