Hi Elizabeth - We have the OCR option for German you can turn on. By setting the OCR engine to look specifically for German-language characters and nothing else, you should be able to pull out good, or even better, conversion results. You can do this by having only "German" selected as your language option, which can be found in the Conversion Options dialog (OCR/R2V tab). If you have the latest version. Please give that a try. The ability to convert docs from pdf and to create fillable pdf forms are two easy to use features.

Once converted to word the word doc contains format codes that need to be adjusted. It would be better to convert to WordPerfect since it easier in WordPerfect to change format codes.

Able2Extract 12 is easy to use, straight-forward to access and just works.

Table handling could be a little better at times - but it's still lightyears ahead of the competition.

The software is easy to use. Depending on the quality of the PDF file, conversion to Excel or Word is almost error free.

No issues that I have experienced, but I haven't tried all the features.

Originally I was tasked with transcribing a 500+ page document that had been photocopied more than 10 years ago. After converting each page to a pdf, I was able to create and merge a fully accurate, well formatted Word document for further editing. Using Able2Extract Professional cut a month's long task to a couple of days. I have since used the software to create and merge other Excel and Word documents with high success.

Some diacritical marks did not convert directly, off-square documents presented some conversion problems, but all were much more easily corrected than having to start transcribing from scratch.

Ease of use and continuous improvement of the product over the sixteen years we have used it.

I don't have anything bad to say but the software review demands forty words

Been using this software since version 11 and has been critical in my work to convert a PDF into an Excel table for use with my software.

New version takes some time to get use to. In older version was able to designate pages to convert, but cannot in this newest version.

Easy to use and I am able to take a scanned document and move to another format such as word or excel quickly.

More in depth tutorials would be helpful on how to set up a template that you can use often.

This is so easy to use and so fast - taking a pdf or article, and moving it to Excel or Word. I don't do a lot of serious work that I need this software, but when I need to use it, it saves me time. I LOVE IT!!

So far , can complain about a thing. It is not expensive and easy to use.

Able2Extract is ideal for our business to convert PDF files to Excel. Saves us a lot of time and the results in the conversion format is ideal

Sometimes the conversion may mistake the number 1 for a letter

My father passed away in July 2020. The solicitors holding the will wanted everything digital. We had 7 years of bank statements that were paper copy only. I was able to scan and transfer all bank statements from 10 bank accounts to excel spreadsheets. It took me 3 months to complete the probate but would have taken a solicitor a lot more time and they would have charged $300 per hour! I saved the family thousands in solicitors fees.

I still needed to make some adjustments within the spreadsheet.

It works most of the time and saves me time with client data files

Not very accurate or organized. Even after extracting info, a lot is required to fix and edit it.

I receive POs from a vendor and they always come in PDFs. Able2Extract is so easy to use to convert these to excel. It is extremely fast too. I've had it for about a month and it has made my life so much easier. I would recommend to anyone looking for a converter.

I haven't found anything yet that I don't like.

Flawless conversion of PDFs to Word and Excel.

There is nothing that I like least about the software.

The ease of use and ability to convert many different types of documents.

Sometimes it converts into weird layouts.

The ease of use and it is very quick to convert just about any document I need. Once my co-workers found out I have this program they started sending me their documents to convert for them. I just love it.

None to speak of. I mostly use this to convert documents into Word and Excel spreadsheets.
