Pros

This has been a great management tool for our company, the integration of comms has been great and has allowed us to cut down on mails as which has been amazing.
The paid version has some excellent functionality additions like dependencies and custom labels/tags, which can be really helpful.
Overall, I love that Asana is super easy to use, but also has more advanced features when you need them.

Pros

If you are a Microsoft fan or heavy user, then Share Point it is a good software for integration and share data and information between your people and clients.
I love how you can integrate Microsoft office. The large file support is great along with the ability to keep everything on your phone.
This software is great for the world of remote working and is a great solution to collaborating online. The program is user friendly and requires minimal training to understand.

Cons

The worst thing is that some resources are paid, which limits the use of the platform by people who cannot pay.
Sometimes tickets get lost or buried but I feel that this comes down to user error and workload management and is not so much a fault of ht software or design.
I find it very inconvenient that I can't copy tasks to another project on mobile. This is my only complaint about Asana.

Cons

Occassionally I will have errors when creating Sharepoint pages– such as the inability to change the column count, insert pictures, etc.
I would describe my overall expense as very poor and frustrating.
If there are too many documents that are not organized it can be hard to find what you need. I think that's mostly user error.

Overall experience with Asana was great. In the end, I switched to using SmartSheets for a bit, then ended up using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Planner.

Pros

Asana is easy to use. There are a lot of features that allow for group collaboration on projects so that that all key stakeholders are in the loop.

Cons

Although this platform is good, I have chosen to use alternative software. There is a lack of functionality for my purposes.

Intuitive interface with enough functionality to manage projects. Great for cross functional team management. Love the ability to upload files of any type or size. Minimizes email communication and keeps all activity in a single place for daily or historical references. Tag team members, create sub task, assign tasks, replaces Microsoft project and sharepoint. Streamlines work effort and file management.

Cons

Duplication of task caused by a glitch. Email notification is distracting but can be turned off in settings

Asana has been helping my company to implement and track multiple standardized processes efficiently (project management, on boarding new workers, training, handling non conformities, incident investigation) which need multi functions involvement and participation.

Pros

- Integrated to Google platform - Easy to develop template for standardized process - Smart and simple task scheduling and due date setting - Mobile app

Cons

I wish Asana can work with Microsoft to develop an app that enabling Asana to connect with Microsoft Teams.

Favorite task management and project management tool for its ease of use, low learning curve to get started, but lots of features to help organize projects and team members and resources

Pros

Easy to get started and nice UI. Easy to create new tasks and organize into sub-tasks or projects Easy to include new members and people outside your organization Easy to drag all types of documents into each task Can view tasks and projects in variety of formats like kanban cards, timeline, checklist Provides a great high-level view of projects Lots of new features Can create various projects for a larger project Integrates with a variety of time tracking tools, email, Gantt charts, etc.

Cons

Lack of technical documentation with their API Different tiers of integration Microsoft Teams plug-in is slow

Pros

Unlike comparable products, the free account offers unlimited tasks, projects, and conversations, and supports up to 15 team members. This is a great way to get started and learn the features and capabilities.

Cons

I really don't see a lot of integration capabilities with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, To-Do, Project).

Pros

Asana allows teams to collaborate on projects and schedule tasks with deadlines similar to Microsoft Planner.

Cons

The Asan dashboard is underwhelming but you will get used to it.

A platform to manage all your work in one place

Mediocre, I think Microsoft teams is way superior to any other platforms and our organization has switched to it as well.

Pros

1. Ease of useability and integration. 2. We can see all our tasks and progress on the tasks. 3. It can eliminate the use of other products such as JIRA.

Cons

It's hard for new users to get used to. there is no functionality to assign 1 task to multiple people as it does not let you. there is no option to log work or track time spent on a project or task

Pros

The task list helps to inform others of tasks they need to complete.

Cons

No file system. Non-Intuitive. Difficult to navigate. Poor graphics. Non-integration with Microsoft products. Poor communication tool.

Very helpful

Perfectly functional and great for teams. Will use on future jobs.

Pros

Can manage different teams and freelancers easily. Particularly useful for telecommuters. Extremely easy to learn.

Cons

It's too bad it doesn't integrate into Microsoft Outlook calendar but email reminders solve that so it's not a big deal.

Good Project Management tool

Its a good tool and has helped the company apply the Project framework a lot better, as the engineer the tasks are easy to follow and helps see what needs to be done for each major phase and the overall project

Pros

It clearly shows the task list of the project you are working on, with pre tasks and the option to attach sub tasks to a specific task. It makes the project management for all parties a lot easier

Cons

Ability to send tasks to people or highlight tasks and send messages to PM or Management, for example if a time has been put down for a task and you think it will take longer the ability to do this within Asana Outlook/SharePoint integration would be good

Pros

I can know in real time the status of tasks and projects, as well as create, assign and comment on tasks easily, to know at all times what is being done and who is doing it

Cons

Unlike Microsoft project, it does not generate a Gantt chart for the project and the free version only allows up to 15 people.

Pros

Asana has a great layout and integrates well within other products such as Microsoft teams. Alerts and useful in keeping track of deadlines.

Cons

Asana is more useful for managers who overlook multiple projects with team members vs a user managing a single project. Difficult to use when wanting to get task specific.
