Pros

This has been a great management tool for our company, the integration of comms has been great and has allowed us to cut down on mails as which has been amazing.
The paid version has some excellent functionality additions like dependencies and custom labels/tags, which can be really helpful.
Overall, I love that Asana is super easy to use, but also has more advanced features when you need them.

Pros

Use Teamwork every day and great task management software and absolutely love it and make constant updates to improve the experience. A good place to document everything.
Notifications and customizations are very helpful. The ability to add users from different companies to collaborate in a project is amazing, and for me, it is an edge over other similar PM tools.
I have been using TeamWork for 6 years now, I am very happy with it, and new useful features are always being added, making the tool more and more helpful and efficient.

Cons

The worst thing is that some resources are paid, which limits the use of the platform by people who cannot pay.
Sometimes tickets get lost or buried but I feel that this comes down to user error and workload management and is not so much a fault of ht software or design.
I find it very inconvenient that I can't copy tasks to another project on mobile. This is my only complaint about Asana.

Cons

Our problem was that everyone on our team was using the software differently and projects were getting lost simply because they weren't assigned correctly.
In order for a task to be sent to billing it has to have hours attached. This is a pain if you have no hours but do have materials.
I did not noticed any 2FA warnings when signing from new devices. That's an issue, because projects and tasks may contain some sensitive info.

The overall feel, the UI is outstanding and it just works

Cons

To me, complex sharing and user accounts. Made me not want to use the system. Basecamp and Teamwork 100% easier. No built in Notepad, native Documents (which I love in Basecamp/Teamwork).

Overall, Asana is intuitive, has an attractive interface, and facilitates teamwork.

Pros

I really like Asana's interface - it makes it very easy for my team to collaborate on documents, participate in conversations, and talk to each other through an online interface. Syncing these comments, conversations, and group tasks together makes our team work much more efficient.

Cons

I don't like that you can't assign more than one person to a task. For example, if Jimmy and John are working on one project together, you can't assign both of them to the task. Instead, you have to choose one of them. I wish they would change it so you could at least tag 2-3 people on each task.

Makes the teamwork easier

My overall experience with Asana was great because a lot of important things were done online and we didn't have a need to meet every day. Makes everything so simple and tasks are done faster.

Pros

I remember being in a non-governmental organization and we handled all of the teamwork through this app. I loved how it made teamwork easier when we weren't being able to meet and solve it in person.

Cons

I have one suggestion for this app and that would be that they should include chats in the team's work panel. I remember they didn't have it before and I think they still don't have it.

Overall, Asana is am amazing collaboration software system that allows teamwork within a company.

Pros

What I like most about Asana is that it lets you visualize where you and coworkers are at on multiple projects and helps track progress. In your personal Asana you have the ability to add followers to your task so when you are complete or are updating, others on the project will be notified. Due dates are huge because Asana will remind you when you have a project coming up that is due soon. You are also able to create customizable calendars for different areas or projects within a company. This helps workflow and lets everybody see what people are working on for the day and if you need to assign workers specific tasks and what not.

Cons

What I liked least about this software was that it is not very graphic-user friendly. I worked with some graphic designers and Asana was a little bit of struggle to insert graphics and download them and what not.

It provides tools for managing your projects which helps in planning organizing and managing your teamwork. It provides various collaboration tools which allow the user to coordinate with each other and communicate with other team members so that everyone knows about what other team members are doing. It helps in providing a complete view of teamwork. It provides real-time updates about reports, tasks and progress of teamwork.

Cons

Task views should be more improved. Its mobile app has limited functions. Its exporting features are not helpful and reliable. Sometimes you are not able to view everything in which you are tagged in. It does not allow you to create your own custom icons. It does not auto-clear your project once it is completed.

The fact that most of the interactions can be done in the same view, without having to navigate in different pages, thanks to the highly dynamical interface. Moreover thanks to the proprietary framework, the app is very fast.

Cons

Not so easy to move subtasks from one task to another. It is not still properly a full project management tool like TeamWork.

Best to organize your work

At some point in my life I figured out the need of some software to organize myself. Being an engineer I did what most engineers do: I swept through most of the top software like that. Nothing compared to Asana. Easy of use, functionality, features - all is there. All fit for my needs. I use Asana daily to organize my tasks in the getting-things-done framework. At the same time I advocate to my students to start using it when working on projects - simply because I know it works. Great product.

Pros

- ease of use - ease of onboarding - clear UI - lots of features - great customization - ease of teamwork

Cons

At some moments Asana is a bit too candy-like. I understand that "having fun" is a part of workflow now, but when marking an engineering task done, I do not feel the need to see a smiling unicorn giving me a thumbs-up.

I do not like some tools without good functionality, sometimes it does not work correctly. Should work with better support

Good for task calendar management

Pros

I like Asana's calendar and how easy it is to track events on a schedule. It's great for email schedule management.

Cons

For creative task management, I prefer Teamwork over Asana because it's easier to use and you can customize the task lists and tasks to fit your preferences.

Best workflow management platform

I'm using it to collaborate with other members of my organization. It is a great platform for teamwork management.

Pros

Asana let's you set tasks and many subtasks under the main task. It also lets you set due dates for all the tasks with appropriate description.

Cons

The free version is limited to a maximum of 5 collaborators. This makes it unsuitable for big projects with many collaborators unless you subscribe to its premium service.

Overall, I had a fair experience with Asana. I certainly recommend it for someone who's trying to finish a project on a short deadline.

Pros

This software is cloud-based and specifically designed for collaborative teamwork. It helps to create, assign, and complete tasks on time.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve with this software. There are just too many features available in this software, which makes it challenging to choose the appropriate one.

An Upgrade From Asana

They made switching from Asana to Teamwork very easy. Importing everything from Asana was easy peasy. The customer support is also top notch and everyone talks with adorable Irish accents so that's a bonus.

Pros

There are task dependencies that are easy to set in this PM software. Also, you can repeat tasks easily, create templates so you are not building the same task lists again and again. There is a lot of flexibility with how you configure it so you can work how you want to work and it supports your process instead of having to create a process that fits with the software. Subtasks can stay nested and out of site or you can click and make them viewable. When you repeat the main task, all the subtasks automatically get repeated as well.

Cons

You have to click "Edit task" to change the task name. If that's all you want to do, it seems like a wasted extra step to have to click "edit." We haven't quite figured out how to use the board views. Visually, it's a little boring. I would like to be able to customize with colors and photos.

The Best Product Management Application. Period.

After spending years on Basecamp, MS Project, JIRA and Asana, this is by far the most flexible and feature rich.

Pros

Fast. Really fast. New features are added constantly and by request. Development team are super open to feedback and input. Email integration is amazing and the Gantt chart is fantastic.

Cons

Task management can be a little clunky.

Ultimate Project/Task manager

Absolutely love it. Could not manage my agency without it - seriously. Skip Todosit, Basecamp, Asana... Teamwork Projects is THE BOMB!

Pros

Ability to organize a number of projects, tasks (especially recurring tasks) for an agency. It's THE BEST. Way better than Basecamp.

Cons

Sometimes the recurring tasks randomly get the start date thrown off (start date moves to same as end date on a recurring tasks), but it's rare.
