Sharing of information inside the organization is easy with this tool managing document repository for project level or at org level is easy with this tool Viewing and editing of pages/spaces is very easy Helpful in having permission to control the access to particular pages/spaces

Easy to use and quickly customizable Easily we can integrate and link with Jira Administering confluence is also very simple Securely we can share all the company confidential documents through confluence Version control feature is also good Easy to create templates and share it across for other users Customer support was good

Cons

Creating macros is little bit difficult Sometime we face performance issue We had some issue with workbox notification Not able to draw diagrams in confluence , Plug-in related to this are very costly- it would be good if we have one inbuilt option

Confluence shines as a collaboration platform which is easy enough to use that people are encouraged to publish on it.

Pros

Reasonably easy to use with lots of powerful functionality for non-administrator users Handles a good variety of attachment types Pure, uncheatable security settings for visibility Some nice Confluence content utilities Very searchable Quite bomb-proof- comfortable to let users muck about at will, as it's hard to really damage anything irretrievably

Cons

Formatting can be fickle Does not display Word or Excel files nicely Does not allow links to files on mounted drives Will not copy and paste attachments straight from email Hierarchical permission structure can make it difficult to share content selectively Administration is not well aligned with JIRA For-charge add-ons can increase price

What I liked most about Confluence is the ability to receive notification e-mails whenever changes are made to a page.

Pros

I have been using it for different activities like project planning, project & team management, requirement gathering, scheduling, team collaboration which are accessible on both web and mobile making the work activities fun and focusing on other project specific activities leaving all other things to confluence.

Cons

As I have been using this for a couple of years, I did not find any so far except on a certain occasion, an error appears and landed out of login, but after that, i did not get any till date.
