Pros

This tool is an excellent knowledge base. This is the primary use for it that we have, and it does it perfectly.
It is a great great tool for creating documents like PRDs and Information Documents of Projects and then sharing with team members to view and collaborate.
Confluence is reliable and offers a good set of functionalities and features, the capacity to organize and edit documentation online is great.

Pros

Ease of use and access coupled with a great price point when bundling this with BMS and VSA makes this an easy win for all MSP's ranging in size from small to large.
My experienced for almost 2 years now is amazing, I really like it and like what I said it is easy to use.
Great solution to keep track of every bit of information about a client. Everything has a place and provides a password generator to help make it easy to secure logins and passwords.

Cons

Sometimes I have difficulties with formatting some of the tables as it is frustrating when it does not follow what you want it to do and it takes a while to correct the mistake.
Searching was severely handicapped, and no linking of documents was really feasible. There was also poor management of permissions.
Performance over the last 6 months has degraded and it's now really slow. The over-arching user management is really confused.

Cons

My techs no longer have to hunt for information and then worry it is outdated.
Overall, we are disappointed in the value of this product.
I would only ever consider their enterprise product which, if you have a large team, can become costly.

Every business needs a knowledge library where workers can learn and see business cases of past projects. All of this can be stored in Confluence. In a software company, it's also perfect for showing realiable information to clients, step by step on everything client needs to know to install your SDK in their app, for example and do the integration process.

Pros

It's really easy to use, organize contents and excellent for a company because users can comment on each case. As a knowledge library is best tool on market and can be used for showing quarterly plans to company too.

Cons

When it was changed from cloud to on-premise, it got slower to access it.

Overall it is a wonderful product that has introduced so many interesting ways of storing documents.

Pros

I have been using Confluence for many years and I would say it is incredibly an amazing product. It is truly considered to be the excellent product for managing and storing documents as well as files and many more. I like its simplicity the most. It is super duper easy to use and it offers so many interesting templates as well as design options in order to fit all our business needs. So it is just a blessing indeed.

Cons

It is fully featured product. It surprised me with so many interesting features which it has. It benefits me on daily basis. The only suggestion about it is that its user interface should be improved for more good results. Other than that I have no issue with it.

It is a good tool for what it does. But not sure if a lot of teams would require it or have a use for it.

Pros

You can create wiki style documents. Write manuals, make your pages look wonderful for the reader. It lets you share information with your team and other teams about what you are creating.

Cons

I do not understand the point of confluence unless you are writing huge internal wikis. For me, the wiki section of the JIRA tool is more than enough for internal parties. The formatting is difficult as you have to use meta tags and html tags. It should be more modern than that or at least have a graphical option for most things, which it does not.

The team loves it, the management loves it, we all go to Confluence when it comes to managing knowledge.

Pros

Confluence lets user's easily write pages describing processes, decisions, checklists. It is easy to start and extensible to fulfill advanced needs.

Cons

Sometimes the formatting of large pages goes wrong, but this happens with every software we used. Some features, like autosave are excellent (yes, it saves your drafts!) but are confusing when you see that "there is an unpublished version". No showstoppers and all is explained.

I have to say that it is a robust and feature-rich collaboration software. You need it for for content creation and sharing. It offers page hierarchy which makes it easier for users to navigate through the documents. I love the shortcut commands that saves lots of time and makes users feel powerful and savvy. Best part: It is cloud based and has a mobile app for Android and iOS

Cons

It does not have a chat feature, so there is that. It could brought too many notifications and it is a really heavy system and it bothers me the lack of customizing.

Running collaboration initiatives when you are in a company that has several locations can be tricky. But Confluence allows to keep track and produce documents and guidelines in an organize way.

Great tool for content creation

We use this confluence page to document our processes and our work. It let others to learn from what we have posted. We even integrated with JIRA to include the projects used in JIRA.

Pros

1. It displays the documents and information well and has access control. 2. UI is user friendly and it easily allow us to navigate through the confluence page.

Cons

1. It would be better if it allows to integrate with different softwares. 2. It allows only JQL not any other language.

Pros

If you set it up correctly, it can really use as the single source of truth for the entire organization, from product specs to technical support knoledge.

Cons

It might take a while to fully organize and set it up for the organization, especially train people to use it correctly.
