Pros

The integration of connectiwise with other software is great. This is the reason why I really love this software.
So far it was a breeze to set up and create groups of my PCs I manage. Having the ability to share passes for 3rd party IT help is nice too.
We have been a screen connect/Connectwise Control user since 2012, a brilliant piece of software and pricing is very competitive. It's quick and supports a large number of clients.

Pros

As an IT administrator I would recommend this product. The rice is in the ball park with other similar products and the tech support was outstanding , the few times I needed help.
I set all my clients up with this if they want a reliable, easy to use remote desktop software. The app for iPad is super intuitive and it makes for a great travel.
Overall experience with LogMeIn Pro is super positive. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Cons

Horrible, horrible customer service and support. I was constantly getting false positives.
Product support is disappointing. On the few occasions that I have needed to reach out to support, I ultimately figured out how to correct the problem myself.
The big thing we learned was not to use the unstable branch in production and that for more than 4 years the unstable had never caused us issue.

Cons

Very poor experience and migrated all clients away from it. Speed and price were the biggest problems.
For two years our office manager thought she had stopped the auto-renew but apparently had not. I eventually had to call customer service and they had to stop the auto-renew for us.
I have been testing Zoho assist and they do not have these issues and it is half the price. We are going to be cancelling our membership with Logmein Pro at the end of the auto renew period.

Cheap alternative to LogMeIn but you can see why it's cheaper

It's relatively cheap compared to other solutions and works well enough. Updating clients remotely is very easy.

Pros

It's much cheap than other solutions like LogMeIn. Once installed it's relatively easy to centrally update the unattended client installs. Did I say it was cheap compared to LogMeIn? I use it mostly for IT administration and have LogMeIn for end user remote desktop. We could afford to use LogMeIn on all our end points so we only use LogMeIn on user PCs and ScreenConnect on all devices including servers and user PCs.

Cons

The client isn't as polished or easy to use as LogMeIn. The screen resolution is low and doesn't have an easy way to change it to match the client PC. The interface isn't as easy to use as LogMeIn.

Great Remote Administration Tool, Flexible Licensing

Better than LogMeIn, and everything is easy.

Pros

Easy to use, deploy and administer. Inexpensive and feature-rich.

Cons

If I leave a single session open on my computer at home, and then come to work and try to use the product it will not allow me to do so due to the licensing restrictions on my account. Wish there was a way to terminate active sessions from the console.

Best remote management tool - bar none.

Pros

We have used a number of remote access systems - LogMeIn Pro, TeamViewer, GoToAssist, GoToMeeting, Bombgar - and ScreenConnect (aka Connectwise Control) beats the others in all of the areas you need. Whether compatibility, price, performance, ease of use... you name it, ScreenConnect is better.

Cons

I wish they'd kept the name as ScreenConnect (which is why I'm always going to call it ScreenConnect). In all seriousness, though, the only real problem is compatibility with Macs that have VMWare Fusion and trying to control the VM itself - and honestly, I'm pretty positive that's a Mac thing more than a ScreenConnect thing.

Pros

As a company owner, we had used Logmein Central and Logmein Rescue for almost 15 years. We realized how much money Logmein was charging us for their software compared to what ConnectWise could offer us and it was a no-brainer, we switched instantly to ConnectWise and cancelled all of our Logmein accounts, saving us hundreds of dollars per month. ConnectWise is by far the best remote control software money can buy.

Cons

The only negative that we can find is that it currently will not work on the Samsung Note 8. Currently, the remote software will only work on the Note 8 as long as you have a Bluetooth mouse paired with the mobile phone, I am sure ConnectWise will fix that in the next mobile version.

Excellent Remote Control Services

We switched to this service from LogMeIn Rescue and it's night and day better than LogMeIn. The service is easy to install, and there is little to no lag with the connections to the remote system. Easy to deploy or uninstall/end session for unattended access sessions, and easy to setup one time connections for support or meetings. It's not a bear on client's system resources either, like it was for LogMeIn Rescue. We're getting better and more features than what LogMeIn offered, for a cheaper price as well. We migrated over 100 unattended access systems with ease. Would recommend this service for anyone, especially those that are on LogMeIn.

Pros

Very easy to use and deploy to new systems, or setup support sessions

Cons

Sometimes takes a while to load/reconnect after a reboot.

Great Alternative to logmein rescue

For what we used logmein rescue for this was an excellent replacement that added more functionality than we had, we trippled our user seats, and still saved money annually. I've been very happy with the product since we made the switch.

Pros

Low cost, works well, less lag and more functionality. Essentially a cheaper better alternative to logmein rescue

Cons

No way to control how to remote into remote clients, you can warn via message but people dont like that popping up. Some people have requested they would like a message to prompt allowing them the choice of permission before anyone can remote into their machine. Minor issue but only complaint I have received from end users.

It is a great combination of all of the best features of Bomgar, Logmein, and TeamViewer.

Nothing. My only complaint would be that tech support is not what it used to be before the ConnectWise acquisition.

Quick access to client computers.

Pros

Super fast access - allows me to get right onto a clients computer in seconds. Cheaper than logmein, good support.

Cons

managing access for users is a little tricky. Need more audit reports and also realtime access alerts.

Connect Wise for Remote Support

Our company grew at an exponential rate and we were shipping out about 10 laptops a week. Most of our workforce works remotely or lives remotely so we needed to find a service that could scale and work with us. Connecteise was the right choice for us!

Pros

User interface is very easy and effectively managed. Software is a light install but with powerful back end diagnostics tools and abilities to push scripts to remote users. The price is the biggest Pro, we have used logmein rescue in the past and this service is 1/3 of the cost but with in my opinion better service.

Cons

I can’t thjnk of any cons to the service. Going from what we had to connectwise has been all positive.

Cons

This product is definitely for the IT/Technical user. Some third-party app integration is not as straight forward as competitors, but they work ok once you know what to do.

Remove Support

Pros

Easy to use, easy to customize, and reliable. WOrks well over multiple connection types, and supports all features in one price (for control) --- no upgrades necessary. Basically they took everything good about logmein and logmein central which I used religiously until back to back to back years of price doubles or more.

Have had a few issues with updates, but understand and support their desire to keep improving their product

We love the software. Since the costs are low, we've been able to add more machines than we had in the past.

Pros

I switched from LogMeIn when they bumped their prices and I am very happy. ConnectWise Control is extremely reliable and a good value for the money. I have found the features to be just as good, if not better than LogMeIn and ConnectWise is available for a fraction of the price.

Cons

Sometimes it can be hard to find the feature you want when you are connected to a host. There are lots of menus, sub-menus, and options. It's great there are so many features, but sometimes it's hard to find what you want.

Pros

We wanted a replacement for Logmein that wasn't as expensive and was self-hosted. ConnectWise ticked all of these boxes.

Cons

File transfer can be fiddly, and if there's no monitor/display at all ConnectWise won't function where Logmein did.

Pros

Much less expensive than TeamViewer or LogMeIn Rescue. Easy to sort lists of computers, for example, by customer. Good feature set.

Cons

Mac support needs a little bit of work. I have trouble connecting to Mac hosts from my Windows 10 laptop, although support for Windows hosts is superb.

Great product

Easy to deploy using group policy, updates are easy to implement. Able to record remote sessions and quickly open and close.

Pros

Product was easy to install and configure. All features work as intended and haven't had any issues since we moved from LogMeIn.

Cons

Only con is related to security scoping. If you need to allow access for a particular user to only one computer there doesn't seem to be possible.

ConnectWise Control - Excellent Alternative

I need the ability to access my home network. This does the job way better than TeamViewer and LogMeIn.

Pros

Beats LogMeIn and TeamViewer in terms of features and price by a mile. I really like how my devices are easily managed in one place. I like the ability to set up meetings with family and friends who need assistance. Lots of nice add-ons and features from the community. Quality of the connection to devices is solid with a good network connection.

Cons

While the price overall is a better deal than the far more inferior alternatives, I find the subscription price to be high. It's not a huge problem, I just don't use it on a consistent basis like I would at my job.
