Pros

This helps me find a contract or a document when I can be in 3 different countries during the same week. I feel that great because reach into the clouds and always have my information.
In a few words, its very easy to implement, use and escalate, the capacity of integration with our products (Kodak Alaris Portfolio) its outstanding.
Easy to use, Friendly, and stability after installation and performance. The amount of option of integration is great too.

Pros

It has been a positive experience and have so appreciated the great customer service.
The ease in which to drag and drop files is convenient. I love the ability to organize the files to my needs as well as the ability to locate files.
We have had a great experience. I like that I can access my documents from anywhere.

Cons

Some of the features that we struggle with are the text search of scanned documents and in the set-up of the filing nomenclature because we were new to electronic filing.
The simple design of the application interface may lead to misleading perception of customers that this application is not enterprise solution.
It appears to be totally random, which I found that you needed to ignore the color and icons, and read the descriptions closely to access what was needed.

Cons

I had a desktop version before moving to the cloud and had several major problems with that version as it corrupted on my computer several times and did not automatically index to a cloud backup.
Terrible enough that I tried for 2 months to cancel my subscription to which the customer service agents wouldn’t let me.
Everything is all jumbled up in the customers folder making almost impossible to find what you are looking for without wasting time and causing more stress to the day.

Great Software

It's great, better than our last DMS.

Pros

Easy to use, keeps everything organized. Love Secure Drawer

Cons

We get kicked out of it sometimes, it won't let us log in sporadically. If I upload too many files in too short a time the carrots next to the clients names don't work anymore.

Easy Document Storage Solution

Pros

I like the ability to set up secure document storage that others at work don't have access to. Our business floats on a sea of paper and eFileCabinet lets me reduce some of that paper.

Cons

Limited file types are supported. Our DMS will not communicate with eFileCabinet nor will our CRM.

Great storage for a small CPA firm

After the collapse of DMS from Lacerte we tried one other program (a disaster) before we found Efile Cabinet.

Pros

Easy to organize and standardize your file cabinet can look like you want it to. With standardized naming conventions, folder structure and retention features you can automate your files. We love the open, edit and save features of the program. Search the entire cabinet for lost files by name and date. Encrypted for your clients protection and big enough to store over 5,000 clients with almost 20 years of records.

Cons

The search function has slowed down with the latest software update. I cannot drag emails from out look to the cabinet. I have to drag them to the desktop first. Sometimes when you create a new folder for a client it creates 2 with the same name. The secure drawer portal is difficult to work with. (my client who is a computer programmer complained about it) So we switched to Secure File Pro for a portal.

Great value for small business DMS

Pros

We found it relatively easy to get up-to-speed on the features we needed to use, especially with the hands-on training and technical support from eFileCabinet. And as a small business, being able to scale the features and space and number of licenses down to the scale we needed, while still maintaining a robust set of features, made Rubex the clear choice for us.

Cons

At times Rubex can be a little clunky, but that was an acceptable tradeoff for a cloud-based DMS.

Great way to share files!

eFileCabinet, Inc. offers a suite of document management software (DMS) products and services that help businesses and individuals work quicker, smarter and more collaboratively.

Pros

I have used eFileCabinet for to transfer information to and from my clients for about 4 years now. This software offers a user-friendly way to move files from one location to another. You can drop a file from anywhere all you have to do is put it into a cabinet and it will move automatically. You can control what cabinets, drawers, and files your co-workers and customers can see. I love that you have total control over all of your documentation. Also, if a customer requests a certain document, EFC makes it simple with SecureDrawer. Excellent software!

Excellent People to People but Not a Good Fit for Our Firm

The EFC folks are second to none. They have excellent customer service and are very easy to work with. Support wait times are virtually non-existent and the people are very professional. As for the product, it is a good document management system overall. If someone is looking for a DMS that provides software encryption, controls around data and permissions, this is a pretty good tool and should be considered. In my opinion, it works best for smaller firms.

**Supreme** (online) Document Management Storage Software!

In the business world today, there are mountains and mountains of paperwork. Being able to limit and severly reduce our paper file storage has amounted to savings of thousands of hours and dollars. The ability for our PM's to be able to search for a document their smart phone or tablet while on the job and find the document/invoice/proposal/bid/change order, etc. is invaluable and hard to put a dollar amount on! There are many DMS software programs out there, but eFileCabinet is perfect for our enterprise!

Pros

Our (big) small construction business has been using eFileCabinet for almost 5 years now. We have 8 users who interact with the software on a daily basis. The flexibility of searches, profiles (tags), ease of organization, templates and such make this such a great program for our office. The ability to see documents on our smart devices or using a web browser (online version) is crucial to our project mgrs and even office staff when we are working remotely. I am a huge fan of this software and every update that comes out just improves the program even more. We are very happy with the tech support (hardly need it) on the rare occasion we encounter an issue. **Highly recommended**

Cons

I pondered this question for a good length of time. I honestly cannot complain about anything at this juncture. I am the "admin" for our account and so I do all the setup, permissions, user groups, profile setups, etc. I am the most knowledgable of the software at our office and can say with certainty that we are extremely happy with our use of eFileCabinet.

Exceptional Document Management System Software!

The company that I worked for is like most companies in America right now. They didn't seem to have a genuine way of organizing their documentation. There was the issue of multiple people having copies, but all of them had different revisions. You could only imagine a headache that it caused. Pros

The biggest thing that I like about the software is the ability to do my own cabinets and not allow others to see them. I like having everything organized so that it's easier in the long run. EFC allows me to have that organization and I am grateful for it.

Cons

Again, as I've stated before, the only issue with the software is that not all file extensions are included. You have your typical Microsoft Office file types, but it would be nice to have an add-on for extensions like .pcb, .dxf, and others that when associated with a particular software, that software's insignia is used in EFC.
