The new backup choice and file sharing platform

2019-04-11

The only obstacle preventing me is my 2 year prepaid nonrefundable account with Carbonite, which I paid far too much for far too little Gb storage.

Pros

Easy to access files, fast download and upload of files, ability to access files across all my electronic devices including iphone, laptop, pc, tablets, software compatible with apple ios and easy interface (the choice for Dropbox is right there). Dropbox's presence is big and they have come back with a dominating presence.

Cons

No tutorials on how to use all the various features, or terms dictionary to understand what some of those features mean, so I did not feel like I was able to take advantage of all that Dropbox Business had to offer. I tried calling customer service to get a better understanding of certain benefits, and they were knowledgeable and helpful, to an extent. There's only so much they can do over the phone to explain, but far better would be a video or online written tutorial. There is a feature to use Dropbox sharing like Google docs, I think it's called Dropbox Paper, however several limitations exist on the formatting of the shared document . Most would still prefer Google doc, which I already find limiting as well when it comes to formatting abilities.

AWFUL, doesn't work on restore except for files which you can backup for free on Dropbox, etc.

Nothing except an empty wallet

Pros

Nothing. I liked the Mirror Image but they discontinued. Purpose is to have a backup in case something happens to your computer. Found out mirror image only works on the original which was the whole point of buying So it's useless.

Cons

restore is for data files only which you can do for free on external HArddrive, Dropbox, Google Drive etc etc. etc and other programs and devices than patronizing what amounts to false advertising.
