Pros

Its a very helpful tool. I use when when I work from home and I love when I have all my documents on my MacBook from dropbox- without copying them; they just are there, love it.
Love the different type of software it has to offer such as storage or the quality of being able to save.
Very user friendly interface sync is very reliable good retention features. Lan sync and smart sync features are great.

Pros

I like that it is user friendly and cost effective relative to alternatives. Also excellent customer service.
Firmex is the perfect solution at a great price point for our virtual data room needs.
It is an essential service used for mid market m&a. Overall experience has been great, with exceptional customer service and ease of use.

Cons

The group and user policy is alittle bit weird to understand and alittle bit confusing. I had to redo the whole access policy twice because it was not working as i wanted.
To have the file uploaded in the background with limited speeds irrespective of the download or upload speed is something that has irritated me.
It has some integration that sometimes provides warnings through Excel, but other file types are completely at risk of having conflicting copies.

Cons

UX seems boring and outdated. Cannot set viewing restriction for single file.
Few cons, but select users have had trouble receiving Firmex automated emails due to spam filters.
Had to replicate file uploads each time; no tag to put same file into different folders automatically.

Overall neutral experience using this software.

Pros

Easy to use and navigate. Dropbox has been used often times as a replacement of a more traditional virtual data room in M&A. While I do not think Dropbox is necessarily a good replacement for a VDR, the application has helped manage documentation on a large scale.

Virtual file storage and management that is accessible from any device. The ability to upload and share large data files with other users.

Pros

I absolutely love that I can upload large pdf files and video clips to this platform, create individual folders to manage files and then receive a link that can be shared. This really takes the hassle out of trying to send a large file to another computer/device.

Cons

The web-based platform is not totally user-friendly and a little bit difficult to navigate at first. I also notice that I can't tell the progress of my downloads until they are completed.

Pros

I have valuable storage space in the cloud, which allows me to have my indispensable tools at a click to solve everyday problems. The file download can be done through a link, through a synchronization, and is configurable according to the needs that are required.

Cons

It is somewhat confusing when sharing links or folders, its storage capacity is low according to others, to get more space requires email invitations that if you are not careful can become a spam link.

Our overall experience with Dropbox Business is that it's a helpful tool when it comes to freeing up space on our personal hard drives. We can immediately save to the cloud and have room for more of our data computing.

Pros

As the administrator for our Dropbox Business account I've found the ease of training new employees on the cloud platform very welcoming! Automatic sync has saved us on a number of occasions and sharing certain folder and files on the go quickly are just a few of the benefits we've seen since joining.

Cons

As a nonprofit the pricing structure is a bit expensive compared to some other cloud storage companies.

This virtual storage was a really big help for me. An easy to use and worry-free virtual storage. A must try software!

Pros

I have started using Dropbox since I was in college and until now that I am working, I still use it. Dropbox makes it easy for me to store and organize my files in one place. And from time to time they made improvements on the functionalities of Dropbox. You can have your dropbox installed on your desktop to easy manage your files or now they have the mobile application so you could have access to you files anytime and anywhere. Another thing I like about Dropbox is, it has a function to share your files if you want to. I think for new user of Dropbox, their 2GB free storage would be enough for you otherwise you can just purchase and upgrade your storage. It would be worth it.

Cons

Honestly, I just used Dropbox for file storage and sharing so I think there's nothing I don't like about this software.

I have been using the Drop box app for awhile now and I have never had any reason to change it, most of my life documents and files are stored therein, I trust this app and it has never failed me, tho I get some challenges uploading but that is always due to poor internet connection due to me living in an environment where we have poor internet inspite of this I always have my files safe.

Pros

This software offers a storage for all types of documents and files plus it gives me access my documents where ever I go without the need of my files being corrupted as this occurs frequently with other old school type of drives."

Cons

Just like every other app Drobbox Sometimes have errors in synchronizing files on time, expecially With poor internet its difficult for all the files to be uploaded therefore giving room for data exhaustion, and some customers may find this upsetting.

No need for a virtual or physical server!

Easy way to have team members in several location without a virtual server.

Pros

With Dropbox, we don't need to have a physical server and/or configure a VPN for our remote employees. Everyone has a copy of the files locally on their computer, and changes are automatically synced with the cloud.

Cons

Dropbox can be SO SLOW when syncing files after the weekend or coming back from vacation. It seems that when there is a large number of files that need to sync, the virtual memory just gets chewed up by Dropbox.

I like how I can save many files in order to clear up room on my computer for more.

Cons

It’s not very user friendly and I’ve lost files on the software before.

Pros

Easy user interface allows non-familiar teams to upload information. Management teams are able to collaborate with the sell side group to upload information. Much easier to use than Dropbox.

Cons

Item limits per page. (ie. only being able to see 200 files per page when looking at all files

Austin, thanks for the feedback and taking the time to review Firmex. Our users find that the 200 limit is more then enough file names within a page before it becomes difficult to navigate through. Very good, [sensitive content hidden] is an excellent Account Manager. Any questions are answered quickly and with support.

Pros

Very easy to use with every feature that is required for our business unit and clients.

Cons

Difficult to find reporting and total usage.

Thanks for the feedback on the user experience and how easy the platform is to use, it is something we are always aiming for. Our reports are located in the reporting tab if you have the appropriate user access. There are analytics on document activity, user activity, as well as advanced reports for admin users. Great. Would use again. Only thing is that a lot of Data rooms are wining and dining us or sending us gifts to try and win business. Firmex does not do that.

Pros

I like the easy to use platform and upload capabilities. I felt I had strong control over the VDR as Admin.

Cons

The only thing that was missing was creating sub groups when separating buyers/investors. For example, if one buyer wants to give access to their outside advisors then that party should be able to be a sub group of the buyer.
