Pros

Its a very helpful tool. I use when when I work from home and I love when I have all my documents on my MacBook from dropbox- without copying them; they just are there, love it.
Love the different type of software it has to offer such as storage or the quality of being able to save.
Very user friendly interface sync is very reliable good retention features. Lan sync and smart sync features are great.

Pros

I am in love with the fact that I can store my data safely and retrieve it from any device provided I have my google login details anytime anywhere. Also customer services are top tier and helpful.
What I like most about the software, is the ease of usage. You set up your devices, and you are able to upload all documents or photos to the cloud definitely effortlessly.
I love how Cloud Storage keeps all of my important documents in one easy to access location. It is nice knowing that no matter what device that I am on, I can have access to my material.

Cons

The group and user policy is alittle bit weird to understand and alittle bit confusing. I had to redo the whole access policy twice because it was not working as i wanted.
To have the file uploaded in the background with limited speeds irrespective of the download or upload speed is something that has irritated me.
It has some integration that sometimes provides warnings through Excel, but other file types are completely at risk of having conflicting copies.

Cons

The problem is that if you upload many pictures or files at the same time, there is a risk that the program will not tolerate, it just stops.
The amount of space given was way too small and easy to get tricked into paying for more space is ridiculous.
I dislike that the cloud storage space gets filled up quickly, the icloud sends you a reminder every day that your storage is full and that you need to pay for more storage.

"DropBox Trumped by Google Drive"

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Dropbox was my first cloud storage solution, and when it launched, I invited everyone to try it (and was able to get the max amount of free storage available). However, as Google increased in popularity, and the onset of GApps, I switched out of necessity, and in a cost/value analysis Google came out on top. The most beneficial feature of DropBox is the ease of file sharing.

Cons

DropBox's only "con", really is the existence of Google. Google has revolutionized and made cloud storage secure.

Drop your Docs with full trust in Dropbox Business

Reviewed 10 months ago

I highly recommend Dropbox Business than any Cloud Data handling services because of it's security. In this digital era the only thing we worry a lot is about our data be it professional or personal Dropbox Business will be the best choice for file management.

Pros

Dropbox Business is a renowned file hosting service provider, and infamous for it's high data security. The file sharing, E-signing, file exports and imports are highly secure and easy with Dropbox.

Cons

Dropbox Business almost have all the features of Google Drive, but Google Drive provide more free cloud storage for free users.

Pros

The software is really easy to use. It becomes a folder in your computer. It has a great compatibility with apple. Also, many software has a good compatibility with it.

Cons

Is the most expensive option for cloud storage. Also, does not have the collaborative option as Google drive.

Extremely Useful

Reviewed 4 years ago

I will probably always use Dropbox. I do prefer it to the Google cloud storage that is out there.

Pros

The best part of Dropbox is that you can add it to your computer's desktop for easy access and many people can access the documents (once set up).

Cons

Only real con I can think of is that if you have a heavily used file and many people on a team, two people might be trying to edit the same file and then it doesn't save properly with both updates. However, that isn't really Dropbox's fault.

Dropbox Business keeps your business going

Reviewed 3 years ago

Dropbox business is my go to cloud storage I’ve tried iCloud and Google Drive and I prefer the Dropbox.

Pros

Dropbox business can be accessed from anywhere any device by anyone of your choosing. This makes the software very flexible and I can work with a multitude of devices and expertise. You can share simple links with people or grant them access to your folder or give them full access to your account so that they can go in as a team member and do what they need to do. You can also pick and choose which team members have access to work folders and files so you can safeguard the files you don’t want anyone else to see.

Cons

Because dropbox stores so so much information it’s important to be highly organized and have a system for filing everything that’s uniform across all users. If you don’t organize well Dropbox Business can become a junk drawer of documents and content.

Good cloud storage.

Pros

Seamless integration with any platform. It's also cross-platform compatible, which ensures accessibility in any device. Download speeds are good.

Cons

It takes a long time to upload files. Prices are higher than other competitors. There is really no encryption on your files, which makes them available to anyone.

Online storage made easy

Reviewed 5 years ago

Dropbox and Box where some early offerings in the cloud storage space. However competition has increased, and the likes of Google, and Apple storage may mean that Dropbox gets squeezed.

Pros

Dropbox I've always used as a way to share documents and field notes with colleagues and also friends. It has great features such as version control and restore, and granular control of files and folders. Purchase a year plan from a sales promotion from Dell.

Cons

The price, compared to the storage offerings. If you are not interested in the version control of files, you may be better off with Apple iCloud, or Google Drive, as the storage price is significantly cheaper.

Not Quite as Good as Google Suite

Reviewed 5 years ago

While Dropbox and Google Drive started at about the same pace with cloud-based storage, one has greatly outpaced the other. Google Drive has become a household name for its innovation, cloud storage, and native editing platforms that it has developed. Dropbox has simply fallen behind the times in terms of product development.

Pros

Dropbox has done an incredible job staying relevant while performing a basic service: allowing everyone to access basic, free cloud-based storage for their files, both for personal and business use. Their service is fast and very user-friendly. They make a desktop app that can easily sync files between your computer and their cloud-based service, although your files are also always available at dropbox.com. Their new Dropbox Paper app seems interesting and easy-to-use, but I just didn’t have much use for it.

Cons

Dropbox has struggled to stay relevant with Google taking over the cloud storage space with their Google Drive products, along with others getting into the already-crowded market (Box, etc.). Dropbox’s limitations to get you to pay for a premium product are essentially what ruin the product – your storage is more limited than on Google Drive, and on the free plan, you are limited to only three devices...

Cloud storage for everyone.

Pros

Very robust cloud storage solution, the client software is really lightweight and absolutely simple to set up. You can share files in dropbox even with friends that don't use it, via web links.

Cons

Although not a fail of Dropbox per se, It can be really inefficient to upload large amounts of data on connections with poor upload bandwidth. A caching local server option would be great.

A great cloud storage tool for any business that requires multi-user collaboration.

Reviewed 7 years ago

1 TB Cloud storage

Pros

Storage space is the most appealing feature about Dropbox Business. However it also has an easy to use, familiar user interface. It integrates into your windows OS creating a folder that syncs to your Dropbox online folder allowing you to use cloud storage without even using the web interface. No added steps just move/copy/paste files into the Dropbox folder in Windows, and watch the icon turn blue indicating it's syncing. Once it's green it has uploaded all your files into the cloud allowing you to access them anywhere you have web access. It also has a great mobile app which is just as easy to use. If you take a lot of photos for work it has an auto upload feature for your camera roll.

Cons

If you have multiple users registered within your company domain name. Expect Dropbox salesman to be calling you every month or so encouraging you to upgrade everyone to Dropbox Business even if they are fine on a free non-business plan.

Very handy cloud storage tool for personal and temporary files

Reviewed 6 years ago

I keep miscellaneous files i like to keep handy in Dropbox, like my resume, logos and such. It also works as a virtual USB if you want to move a file from one computer to another. Very handy for basic things, but gets more tedious once you try to do more comprehensive things like keep all your files or photos on it.

Pros

The uploading process is very intuitive for files that you want to upload quickly. Sharing capabilities are also seamless, including sharing a folder or link.

Cons

The free storage they offer isn't very much, and the cost to upgrade is probably not worth it considering all the other free cloud storage services out there, such as Google Drive.

More storage than you'll ever need

Reviewed 6 years ago

Extremely user friendly cloud storage.

Pros

I use Dropbox Business for storing all my large, hi-res image files that I use for work. My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to preview files so I don't need to download it to my computer to view it (and take up tons of computer space), it's easy to share the link to files, and they have a desktop app so you can add/delete files right from your desktop that automatically sync to the cloud. So much easier to send a Dropbox link around to a team than trying to attach to an email that the other users have to download to view - highly recommend to save time if you work with big files.

Cons

It's price per user to have Dropbox Business, which feels a little steep if you have a large team. I'd love to see multiple users or multiple deal discount from DB.

Occasional errors with importing. This seems to be just a general Mac issue though however. Other than that, it’s been smooth sailing

Drive make it easy!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Very good. made the switch from DropBox and never looked back.

Pros

Drive makes it really easy to have all your files in one spot. and it is easy to access them and use them on the fly with built in PDF viewers and such!

Cons

I would like the option to password protect files and encrypt them with E2E encryption, that would be amazing.

I switched to Google Cloud Storage from Dropbox and I am very happy with the change.

Pros

Being able to access any file on any device is a must have for any business. Google Cloud Storage allows for all of my files to be backed up and accessible within seconds.

Cons

At this time I have nothing negative to say about Google Cloud Storage. It has yet to give me any issues

I have benefited from the low cost of storage. I have moved items stored from DropBox to Google Cloud storage.

Pros

What I like most about the Google Cloud Storage is that you receive a LOT of storage space for a VERY reasonable price. I have moved many of my items from DropBox to Google Cloud Storage because of the lower cost.

Cons

There are no cons to the software. The plan are low cost for lots of storage. Moving items to storage in the Google cloud is also very easy to do.

A cloud going down each year

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I really like the capacity of put images and videos in the cloud, it's the most important cloud in the world after the others (Dropbox, Onedrive, etc)

Cons

The reputation of the cloud was in decade due to the limitation in the unlimited capacity of the cloud, was the worst decision and, because of that, i put more clouds.

Storage solutions with Google Cloud Storage

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I like that I can easily share documents, photos, and the like with people within and out of my organization. Also, I can easily make documents have different levels of editability for different individuals. Also items can easily be copied and uploaded to someone's individual drive. At least in my mind, it is easier than my Box and Dropbox accounts.

Cons

With respects to Box and Dropbox, I am curious on the maximum amount of FREE storage. Not that I have many pics or videos that I am dealing with.

Among the reliable online storage spaces

Reviewed 5 years ago

I've realized storing all my files online keeps them far safer, I use Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Cloud Storage all for different applications such as storing databases and personal files

Pros

Integrates really well with Google Services when compared to other storage systems, the download and upload rates are amazing too and I've never lost anything

Cons

it is on the expensive side for decent data storage packages

good value for money

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

The free version gives you the biggest space I found for free, and the paid version is usually the cheapest among other options (box, dropbox, microsoft onedrive). And saving photos doesn't cost you, which is a great plus.

Cons

I probably give away my privacy to google...

Better Than DropBox!

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

Lots of my co-workers like and use Dropbox, but I find Google Cloud Storage is even better because most people have a google account of some sort. This makes it really easy to integrate into any work flow.
