The software worked as it should. If you are doing the more basic service I think this is for you. I don't think they are that great for professional users.

The follow up was not great. I showed interest on the [sensitive content hidden] and I did not get it set up finally till [sensitive content hidden] (I was hoping for a week turn around). Once I did get it set up, they did not send out all the notification reminders I had paid for. It was not till the end that, I realized it had happened.

Easy to learn and use. Learning is free with test votes! Any issues I ran into, the chat feature was able to straighten out. Election Buddy cut our costs down huge!

The mail out ballots that Election Buddy can supply would come from the USA. Being in Canada the cost of them doing this for the few dozen members without email addresses was too much. We ended up doing them ourselves but it would be nice to be able to incorporate the mailouts at a decent price for Canadians.

Very affordable option for HOAs and conducting Board of Director Elections and or amendments

I did not like the inability to attach a documents to the votes

This was my first time using an online election process, and my technology skills are not strong. I had to ask the support staff a few questions to clarify how to do the setup. They answered questions with patience and also referred me to their online instructional videos. If I had followed the instructions carefully and watched some of the setup videos ahead of time, the process would have been simpler. I fault myself more than ElectionBuddy for not understanding some small items.

We are using the system for HOA voting (of officers and changes to bylaws). The system allows to authenticate our voters (so nobody can vote 2 times) and set up the vote details. Customer service is excellent. We used the trial version many times to figure things out and test - every time I had questions the support team was very quick to respond.

My only con - one aspect that we require is the ability to do both online/electronic ballots along with paper ballots. Because of that we have to use the most expensive plan ($299 a vote) - would be nice if the paper ballots were in the lower priced option.

Election Buddy was easily customizable once I learned some of the intricacies of the product. The integration fit very well with our organization, and the pricing was very affordable, once I figured out which features changed the pricing.

The pricing of additional features could be shown up front before scheduling the election for deployment. I had to go back and remove certain branding and other options because they were not visible as upsells before I attempted to pay for the election. I admit that I could have done this earlier, but we had balloting changes down to the wire, and I still had to cancel and resubmit an election at an additional cost because of a change with less than 5 minutes before the start of the election.

This software is easy to set up, monitor, edit (when necessary), download, print, and archive results. ElectionBuddy is competitively priced, but the biggest pluses are the ease of use and superior customer service. I often had a question, and the service rep was on the chat with no wait time, quickly understood my questions, and gave clear, concise answers that allowed me to address what I needed...

After system is set up by Election Buddy, with a quick 10 -15 minute tutorial, you are ready to go. We have managed several of our own elections and really only move to Election Buddy management during holidays when our office staff are off.

I'm really thinking about this... There isn't much that I don't like. If Election Buddy is managing the election, we can't see data in real time (% of those that have voted. You won't see the results until the after the election closes. If you are pushing for voter turnout, they can assist by sending a excel list via email. This was helpful).

This was my and my teams first foray into running an online election. We were incredibly naive and so many topics and best practices in running an election. EB provided great chat support, amazing education to bring me up to the speed necessary, and suggestions that proved spot on. The software was incredibly intuitive. Fantastic product and twice the price!

I can't really think of anything that was problematic or an issue. Perhaps allowing more than one picture in bios but really it wasn't an issue.

We were very pleased with the ease of creating a ballot. We appreciated the dedicated support received from the tech support team when we hit a minor technical glitch toward the end of the election, which was easily resolved.

No real cons! One very minor thing was the inability to set the ending time for the election ( we wanted to end at 11:59pm on the final day, but had to choose 11:45pm, as the choices were in 15 min increments)

Great product, affordable, and was a great experience for the end user

Tricky to set up. The automatic chatbot that is designed to help, isn't helpful but is in the way. There is a "gotcha" moment as it isn't clear you need to add "extra" voters. I had to add them late and it cost 1/2 as much as the initial cost. Not sure why this is the case - felt like a cheap "gotcha" same on that one. Other than that it is a good product.

Its not dynamic as other platforms its hard to set up and it wasn't very easy to use

Adjunct faculty at a community college don't enjoy the convenience of a single workplace staffed during limited hours. ElectionBuddy has multiplied the number of our members who can and will take part in our elections of officers, representatives at conventions, contract ratifications, etc. The entire process was simple to establish and certainly economical for our needs. We've used it several times and their help resources were terrific even though we needed them only twice.

Any "issues" actually resulted from our not being careful following directions.

User experience is perfect and customer service was second to none

The auto emails to voters went mostly to their spam folders. I had to send a separate email to the whole group advising to search spam

Ease of conducting elections, and ease of sending reminders and monitoring who has voted or had trouble receiving the e-mail ballots

How easy it was to create the ballot. The quickness in response to my question by the staff on chat.

It was for the most part easy to use. When you ran into a problem the help desk was amazing and fast to respond. Ours was a very small vote (15) electors but we needed to have security and anonymity, and election buddy provided that for a very reasonable cost.

Some of the instructions were not a clear as others and provided challenges when setting up the election. However, support was wonderful and quickly resolved any issues.

We chose Election Buddy because we were looking to find an online platform that voters from all over North America could vote from. It was very affordable and easy to set-up and deploy. EB is simple enough for any user to vote on and very versatile for voters

We had to find a few solves for proxy voting as per our bylaws but EB was helpful in finding solutions.

Election Buddy is very user friendly and easy to set up. When I had questions, their help feature was very useful.

The cost was a bit of a surprise at the end. I wish when setting up your election features, extra costs would be revealed at that time instead of at the end.

Simple set up and fast results and econimical for any size vote.

It takes a little time to learn how to set up but the free sample votes helped to get it done.
