Super Awesome. How would i survive without this

2017-04-27

I organize my whole life on Evernote. It is the gold standard when it comes to note taking apps. I literally do not know what i would do without it. It is my second brain.

Pros

There are many third party applications to extend its functionality. like i use this service called taskclone. what it does it takes any to-do from a note that you tag "taskclone" and copies them to any to-do app (like asana or wunderlist) so that you can further delegate to your team and efficiently go through your day.

Cons

This might be a personal thing nut since i have everything on Evernote, i wish it had more features in terms of organization. like an extra option of being able to add sections to notebooks (like in OneNote) which can provide further organization to my stuff without cluttering up Evernote with a lot of notebooks. And also the "remember view option" setting for notebooks should be extended to whole stacks because it defeats the purpose when the thumbnails of my notes can be viewed from the stack but hidden in my notebook.

Evernote Review

2018-10-01

Evernote is awesome. Love the layout, ease of use, and ability to create a paperless office environment. I love that our teams are able to easily share notes on certain clients and projects. I’ll always recommend this people that are looking for tools to streamline & organize notes, files, forms, etc.

Pros

We use a few other tools such as Box, Google Docs & Asana, but we always go back to Evernote for sharing notes, agendas and client intake forms, because it seems to be so much easier to use.

Cons

I have at times, struggled to find certain notes that have been shared with me. I have to remember that the note is contained within work chats, then search back to find the relevant note. Not a huge issue though.

Simple, But Effective

2017-07-12

Overall, Asana is a great program for small or large teams. It has just the right amount of features to work well for Marketing teams - not too robust like Jira, and not too simple like other basic tools. Collaboration was great across time zones, geographies, and departments.

Pros

Easy-to-use, intuitive GUI Ability to eloquently add sub-tasks Reliable (no bugs that I can recall) Integrations with Google Apps, Evernote, etc. seamless Conversations (@tagging) & reminders

Cons

GANTT only available by mediocre plugin No time tracker Project description field too small and unorganized to provide valuable information

Great Tool for Getting Started with Small Teams

2017-06-27

Pros

I love the ease of use and the ability to just get started. No real setup necessary or methodology to learn. It's like an advanced, yet simple To-do list.

Cons

I wish you get a lot more collaboration with the free version and more integrations options, especially with marketing automation tools (HubSpot) and other note-taking tools (Evernote) -- and sorry, third-party integrations don't count. :)

Simple & Effective Project and Team Collaboration

2015-09-18

Asana values simplicity, collaboration and effectiveness, and this is what makes it such an attractive platform. We tried a number of other project management platforms for our small team, many with more traditional corporate features than Asana, but after a while the motivation to use these platforms dropped, and it became a chore to use them. Asana was a breath of fresh air for my team with its easy to use and intuitive interface. It allows for rapid task creation and assignment that works just as easily for an individual as for a team. We use it to 'dump' all of our ideas and to-dos, and then we can sort them into projects, etc... We even keep our team meeting minutes in Asana, and carry over the past un-completed action items to the next meeting. Simple drag and drop. If you're interested, Asana has a forever free package for up to 5 users, which is more than enough for you to get a feel of what the platform is like. I suggest you give it a try.

Pros

- Intuitive and simple interface - Ease of use; uses standard SaaS operating procedures so users can figure things out quickly - My staff actually like to use it because it's so easy vs. other platforms they said the looks demotivated them - Simple permission based projects and following capabilities

Cons

It would be great if they could attach files from Office 365 or notes from Evernote (right now Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box).

Team Gamechanger

2018-03-26

Pros

I used Evernote for everything, the rest of us were a mix of marking emails unread, Wunderlist, blah blah.

Cons

- can only assign tasks to one person, multiple (rather than copy) would be better for our calendar as we use time blocking and multi-person tasks add an extra step when both team members have to check off complete - nothing else right now, still only a month in, haven't explored all use cases yet
