I really enjoy using Evernote. It makes it super easy to organize all of my notes and the unlimited ideas and thoughts in my head that I need to keep track of, and sort them in a meaningful way.

This tool is amazing and makes explaining everything so simple. Nothing is more powerful than a screenshot but the ability to markup the screenshot is priceless.

BEST NOTEPAD IN THE MARKET!

Reviewed 4 years ago

The organization, works like Microsoft Word, saves on its own so if something happens, you're backed up! BEST NOTEPAD IN THE MARKET!

Pros

Easy to use, lots of memory, works like Microsoft Word which makes it easy to find old notes and create new one. All formats are great and easy to set up.

Cons

None really. The only downfall I can see is people having to pay for more space for notes. This can hurt a little.

Evernote is so easy to use!

Reviewed 2 years ago

I really like Evernote experience as it is simple to use.

Pros

I love that I can dictate my ideas with the mic function, I can save pictures, and I can take notes. I specifically use it to hold my posts for my Facebook group page when I want to write them out before I post them on my page.

Cons

I wish there was a way to add bullet points or numbering easily as you can in a Microsoft Word document.

Save time and very easy to use and support multiple OS.

Pros

The best i like about this software is that it support in multiple OS, which makes it unique. And also it works without saving the file.

Cons

Some features need to be added as compared to microsoft word or microsft excel sheet. So more feature will have better experience.

Great product

Reviewed 2 years ago

Great to use but it doesn’t “speak to” the Microsoft Office Suite so you can’t necessarily copy/paste between the two. Other than that, great organizational tool for keeping notes together.

Pros

Ease of use— similar to using Microsoft Word; It is easy to write documents and format the font as well as sending the information to someone else as well.

Cons

It is hard to copy/paste something from Microsoft Word into and Evernote sheet. I couldn’t move information from one platform to the other.

Go to app for things I need to remember

Reviewed 5 years ago

I've used Evernote for several years. I put all of my need-to-remember things in it, such as passwords, notes for various personal and business needs, etc

Pros

Easy to use, intuitive, nice search capabilities

Cons

Formatting leaves a bit to be desired. I'm so used to Microsoft Word formatting shortcuts, that I get frustrated when they don't work in Evernote.

Mediocre notetaking software

Reviewed 9 months ago

Overall, Evernote is decent for notetaking, but not perfect. There are many other options that are better.

Pros

Evernote allows easy categorization of notes and putting things into boxes and folders is a good way to separate different topics or tasks.

Cons

Evernote does not work as seamlessly as other similar softwares such as OneNote or even just Microsoft word. Many of the tools are difficult to use.

Incredible information management system with robust search ability!

Reviewed 4 years ago

Never ending organization! Searchable notes are priceless for me.

Pros

It is super easy to store information and to get it from the internet into the platform. The integration with zapier and penultimate is also delightful. The ability to search is priceless and makes this busy lawyer's life a lot easier.

Cons

Hierarchical outlining like in Microsoft Word - it would make my life a lot easier. I also wish it was easier to pop notes in and out and do some split screen viewing.

Evernote Is Perfect For Taking Notes During Client Meetings

Reviewed 2 years ago

Evernote is perfect for someone who likes to organize notes for client meetings and other legal matters in a format that is more conducive to note taking.

Pros

Evernote is easy to use when taking notes when speaking with clients, in depositions, etc. The program makes it easy to pick up where I left off in on-going matters, rather than using Microsoft Word documents that I have to continually search for, or create new ones.

Cons

The fact that it is one ongoing note makes it less organized sometimes, but that can more so just be user-based. Does not contain all of the formatting features that a Microsoft Word document might contain.

Plan your daily work with Evernote

Reviewed 5 months ago

I have been using Evernote since last year. As a QA I need to keep lots of notes while handling the QA process. Therefore Evernote is the best tool I found to keep track of my notes. It is very user friendly plus comes in handy. Not only that I also can share my notes easily with colleagues which makes WFH easy.

Pros

I do like everything in Evernote, specially the ability to maintain notebooks, sharing, etc. Also it gives more features as in Microsoft word documents which make our work more neat and tidy. Not only that additional features such as presenting notes makes it more worthy to use.

Cons

I don't see anything that I dislike, but I would like if they can improve more features in formatting documents such as highlighter colors, more table formats, picture formats etc.

Note-taking application - allows you to media into notes, organize notes, sync & share

Reviewed 2 years ago

Great note taking application - Light weight, simple user interface and great to organize your notes & ideas. Also great for collaborating and sharing within your organization on projects or other work.

Pros

Software was is lightweight and has a stream lined interface. Helps to keep your notes organized, synced across devices and easily sharable & easy to collaborate with colleagues.

Cons

Note taking functionality could be more feature rich - ie. It isn't replacement for a full blown Word processor like Microsoft Word. But it does do a great job and integrates with a lot of other products like Slack, Outlook, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams and Salesforce.

A software that finally helps me organize!

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

I really, really like things to be organized. And I've tried so many different tools to help me get to the point I'd like to be. I have to say, Evernote is one of the few tools that I've actually been really impressed with and felt like a different was being made to my workspace. I love the clean UI of the software, it makes taking notes and organizing files a joy. I can create to do lists and notes super easily, and it always looks great. It's honestly like having a notepad that I can take around with me.

Cons

The one issue is that it can be a little tricky with Microsoft Word. I take a lot of notes there too and things have to be carried back and forth, and it's not always perfect. It's also not able to index things, only tag. So searching for old notes or lists can be kind of hard sometimes.

Evernote Business

Reviewed 2 years ago

My overall experience with Evernote Business is very positive. Much recommended.

Pros

I have to say, I love Evernote. I can't really see doing work without it. It keeps all my notes in one place, it's easy to organize and share. If you delete a note you can recover it. They have proper protections in place for logging in such as Multifactor Authentication. I can synchronize across multiple platforms so I can access my contacts on my phone, laptop, and other devices as needed. Great software.

Cons

While this isn't necessarily a fault of Evernote, some of the formatting doesn't translate well to other document editors which means if you create an intricate note that you want to transfer to Google Docs or Microsoft Word, for example, you may need to do some reformatting in order for it to work. This happens mainly with bullet points and tables.

Ultimate personal digital notebook.

Reviewed 2 years ago

It is one of the best options to take notes and organize them. I found it very useful for writing summaries and reviews for book. I can store the files (especially ones I need to reach everyday) I use it as task management and planning system... as draft for comprehensive projects.... and for many applications In short; it is my best productivity tool

Pros

Before I started to use Evernote organizing my notes was something challenging and frustrating to me... I had plenty of pdf files, screenshots in several devices such as my computer, usb disk and mobile phone. And it wasn't an easy task to remember which note was in which device. For not be too dependent on devices I used to mail the word files to myself, causing my dirve to be even messed up. And...

Cons

You cannot create nested hierarchies of notebooks. You can only create notebooks and note stacks. But the option of creating sub notes would be useful It doesn't have multilevel listing feature as Microsoft Word has... like 1, 1.1, 1.a ,1.2.1... and so on I want to be able to make check spelling in different languages for different notes, but Evernote is not powerful in this regard. I would like to use web-clipper in Yandex browser too

Evernote Teams

A great tool, but a slow learning curve

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Evernote is very powerful in the sense that it allows you to centralize all your company's informations / data in one place. You just don't have to think about it : put it in evernote and you'll be able to get it back, wherever you are. The search is very powerful (it can "read" within files AND also within pictures/images). The Spaces are also nice to keep everything tidy and easily remember where you put your stuff.

Cons

The interface is pretty hard to understand on PCs whereas it's way better on Mac. The PC app can be pretty slow at times as the database is managed in a weird way by the program. The learning curve is pretty slow since it takes time for users to understand that Evernote is NOT just like Microsoft Word or whatever (which people often think when they see the interface for the first time). That is because it's not "natural", to drag and drop files / images / powerpoints and texts in the same thing (a note).

Clunky and slow, other note taking software does the same, better

Reviewed 3 years ago

Bottom line, I think Evernote is for people who are comfortable being disorganized and keeping all their thoughts in one place with this tool. Evernote isn't made for organized thinkers who want a tidy storage space for their thoughts.

Pros

The integrations and new features they introduced were revolutionary for their time. It's helped launch a new wave of note-taking software.

Cons

The desktop and mobile apps have always been bulky and slow. The in-note editing might be good for some people but I always found it messy. Similar to Microsoft Word, it always tries to do "smart" formatting but it's never right for what I want. The formatting was simultaneously too limited and too generous - finding the right size and color to match something that you pasted in was nearly impossible. The folder organization system is better than it used to be, but I still found it lacking. Wish it had more robust sharing and nesting options.

Top of the line

Ability to retrieve older documents with ease. I can also, whether mid-conversation or during a meeting or presentation, quickly retrieve information that I've forgotten or to elaborate on someone else's ideas.

Pros

I've used this software since 2013. This is one program that I CANNOT live without. I store EVERYTHING in Evernote. I probably don't even use 1/2 of of the functions available with this software, but I'm still determined to master it though! Pro number one for me is the convenience! I use the browser version and the app, when on my Mac, and the app on my phone, too. The capture tool on my Mac makes...

Cons

Now, the "downside". Using this program since 2013 should tell you, that any downsides EN does have, are vastly overshadowed by it's shine. Shifting your lifelong organizational habits from a file/ folder based system to En's "note/ notebook" system overwhelms some people, I'm sure. I struggled with this, myself! Don't let it, though! If you remember, I already applauded the awesome search capabilities...
