OK For Tracking Individual Research...But Not So Good for Groups

2016-09-01

Pros

It works across multiple platforms (Windows via Browser, app). Allows me to sort and keep personal research.

Cons

There's a little bit of a learning curve, and there's too many products that have similar functions but work better (Google Docs, Trello, Basecamp)

2018-10-31

If they can make their features easier to use like Trello, I think I would use it more than other apps.

Pros

1. the look and feel is very nice 2. most of the functionality is self explanatory 3. it has active notifications

It gives you super powers

2018-02-14

It's the one place I put everything.

Pros

It's a super power app. It gives you super powers makes finding things easy, takes categorizing out of your writing. Write it down, and find it later. record it, and find it later. The app has come a long way since the beginning

Cons

I wish they could come up with a kanban functionality so I don't have to use trello and evernote.

Evernote Business - A Trello Replacement?

2019-01-08

I wouldn't recommend using this software in the field. For what functionality it provides, their are other better products out there that are worth the price.

Pros

Evernote Business is an entire cloud productivity suite for your organization that provides tools to allow users to work better together. Their software allows you to share notes, track the status of projects, and integrates with all major project management software.

Cons

While this suite integrates well with other project management systems, specifically Slack, I don't think it's project management is a replacement for Trello. I like that Evernote is trying to enter the market of project management, but they should stick to notes.

Still my preferred way to keep and organize notes.

2018-07-11

Pros

I like that I can share notes with clients when working on a client manual or workbook, and that it integrates with things like Trello. It's essentially become my online filing system and there are still features that I either don't use or haven't explored, yet.

Cons

That can get expensive if you're also paying for upgrades on other productivity software (like Trello and monday.com).

Using it to write notes on an iPad pro is a great experience, and allows freedom from ink / paper.

2018-01-31

Pros

Evernote is great in my workflow for meetings, where in a journal I would scrawl quick / sloppy notes, with Evernote I can take those same notes and transfer them into Trello. Importing quick notes via copy and paste is awesome for keeping track of projects.

A revolutionary way to work with a team

2019-02-28

A very smooth way to boost productivity

Pros

I like the fact that Evernote Business really helps team to boost their productivity: you can integrate a lot of apps with it - Google Drive, Google Agenda, WeTransfer, Trello, DropBox, OneDrive - consequently, Evernote becomes the go-to platform to implement group projects.

Cons

I don't really like the interface of the app - the colors, the fact that it looks quite empty/blank when there is nothing written. I really prefer the way other apps look, like "ColorNote". It could be improved with a more flat design.

Pros

Project implementation 6. etc… In this way, the "Kanban" project management applications, such as Trello, can effectively use the Evernote notes as "cards" on Kanban dashboard lists.

Cons

e main deficiency with Evernote is you cannot create notes and share them without sending them via email, twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or with a general link. It would be great to allow one person access to certain notes through the website, similar to Google Drive. I don’t believe this functionality is available though. Maybe this is part of their business features, we have not evaluated this portion of Evernote at this time. Another deficiency with this program is the size of storage available for free. Evernote offers 60 megabytes of space with their free level of the program.

Personally for me better than Evernote in most ways.

Pros

Very easy to use, works well on android and PC. Very easy to use interface and you can make groups to share with.

Cons

You have to pay for some features but overall no serious complaints. I think they should send out more newsletters and also maybe do giveaways for paid features.

Dead Simple and Flexible

2019-01-11

What business problems am I not solving with Trello!? It's really great software and the ease of use eliminates any barrier to entry.

Pros

It's dead simple to use and is extremely flexible for however you would like to use it. Just create a board for a project, create some lists/cards and start being productive. I've used this for software engineering projects, writing projects, planning personal activities, etc.

Cons

The thing I like least about the software is that it does not have Evernote integration, which is another tool that use extensively.

Trello is better now

Pros

I tried to use trello 2 years ago and I hate it, but now, they changed a lot and now it's my favorite. I think the best part of it is the ability to add more than 1 checklist inside each task and you can copy a checklist with one click. :)

Visual and Easy Task Magament

2018-07-03

I prefer this Task Management software over Evernote and TODOIST.

Pros

The ability to segment core task groups and then set up sub groups of those tasks is a huge plus over other task management apps. I use this for personal and work projects and love that I can manage both from the same app. The User Interface is much more attractive than TODIST and similar apps.

Cons

I would prefer that you be able to expand the list items in the main dashboard view which would enable me to better see the next task I need to perform. While each list item does show the title I wish it displayed 1-2 lines of the last activity which would remind me of the next task without having to fully open the item. I also wish that there was a "summary view" that showed all of your cards

2018-10-24

I found the onboarding process of Trello hassle free over other alternatives. Trello should be definitely given a try when you are looking for a smart project management service. The free model offered with good basic features is what make Trello worth trying.

Pros

Trello Makes it Easy to Manage Projects

Goodbye Paper To-Do!

2019-01-28

Pros

The customization of Trello makes it a must have! You can create your lists based off any criteria you like! The cards within the lists have tons of options including notes, labels, checklists, due dates, and even attachments. So every item on your to-do can be unique...or create a temple to copy new cards, to keep like things together! Movings stuff around is as simple as a drag and drop. You can even create different lists for each of your team members. I've kept a paper notebook on me for years: to keep track of quick to-dos that get added to my daily list...I've dropped that in favor of Trello. I can add quick items to my list and then move them around later as I need. There are tons of ideas out there for your trello board: so check back on Trello's public board for awesome new things all the time.

Cons

It makes sense and the prices aren't terrible by any means, but if you want things like Slack, Egnyte, EverNote, or anything else to be integrated into your Trello: you have to pay.

I love Trello ---- I just wish more people knew what it is!

2018-07-26

I can compare this to Google Keep as well as Evernote, and I love Trello far more than either of those two!

Pros

Trello is so simple to use. Drag and drop your lists, projects, to-dos, etc. Easy to invite collaborators. It's sort of like having online "Post-It" notes, without having to cut down trees! Of course, you can get into other things like color coding things, categories, etc., and they really come in useful. The BEST part of Trello is that it is SO intuitive. If you have a touch-screen device like a tablet or PC with a touchscreen, Trello just makes SO MUCH SENSE. It's second nature and the learning curve is E-A-S-Y!

Cons

I had to think hard about the Cons of Trello. The best thing I could come up with is that not everyone uses Trello. I think it's hard to say what Trello is: Is it a project management system? Does it organize notes? Is it for team collaboration? Well, all the above. And that's the weakness of Trello: It is BETTER than many other products, but because it can do nearly anything, it's almost TOO utilitarian. I can't tell you how many times I've invited someone to collaborate on Trello and they're like "Trello? Uh, what's that? Is it like Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce?" I tell them to just try it, and they usually have that ah-ha moment. (It's especially funny when you are working with an IT person who is responsible for implementing EXPENSIVE services for their company, and they realize Trello just might have been a MUCH better choice.) This sounds like a good thing, but the adoption rate of Trello SHOULD be much higher, and that is a Con, sadly... (Try it!) :)

Great lightweight tool for project management tracking

2019-04-01

Trello is a good option for general project management.

Pros

Integrations with slack, evernote, and gsuite make Trello part of our standard workflow.

Cons

No built-in reporting and time tracking. This is strictly for basic project management. If you require these features, you either need to look for a 3rd party integration or build it yourself. Our company tries hard not to rely on 3rd party integrations as we prefer to have support come from a single vendor.

Two dimensional card based organizer

2018-12-20

Alternately, it's just as a good a general organizational tool like a notepad or Evernote. It's the lack of top to bottom and stacking of cards that really hangs up this use.

Pros

Trello is a lot of fun once you get used to it. Have an idea? That's a card. Need a reminder for it? You're set? Add an attachment? Yep, that's there too. Have another idea? That's another card. And another and so forth. Cards can be moved left or right for prioritization, but not across any other dimension (kind of limiting). Tons of thing can be done with cards. Add reminders. Add due dates. Add images. Add notes. Add lists. Trello supports dozens of paid "power ups". These are add ons for functionality like messaging, Gantt Charts, calendaring, and much more. You get three power ups with a basic free account, after that be prepared to pay monthly for a Gold account. You can have as many Trello projects as you need and numerous Project softwares support add-on's for Trello support like Basecamp or Asanna. Each project allows you to invite different team members.

Cons

Arranging cards by only the left or right option is such a bummer. Sometimes the need for top to bottom and up or down is essential. Adding a stack feature would be gigantic. Some power ups are useful and some are quite useless. Some cost money and others don't. It's not clear which ones do and which ones don't.

Trello for the win!

2018-10-20

For the functionality, there is nothing on the market like Trello! It is such a good resource and has amazing collaborative features and really great productivity features!

Pros

It is, for me, like having evernote, apple notes, a calendar app, and messenger all in one place.

Cons

Trellos is detailed. I find that the ones that benefit from it the most are detail oriented people. Planners, organizers, and list makers. I, being very detailed, have worked for many entrepreneurs who are not detailed... and Trello did not seem suitable for them. While I used it as a map of my work, keeping detailed logs, to do lists, notes, and detailed, visible records of my time, It felt overwhelming to those who didn't share my love of details. For the most part, I have kept it as a record, and as a reference if progress needed to shown, or time needed to be documented- but not for collaboration from non detailed workmates. Keep that in mind! While it works excellently for some, it can be a daunting and undesirable for those not given to details. Hope this helps

advantages of the trello

2018-08-08

Trello is a project management tool that makes collaboration simple and, I would say, even fun. The reality is that it serves almost everything, whether you are organizing projects at work, household chores, trips or anything else. Individual cards can contain task lists, images, attachments, delivery dates, color labels and comments from other people who share the board with you. You can have as many boards as you want, use one for "Homework", for example, and another for "World domination plans". It is likely that you have already realized the potential. The Trello cards are like small post-its on a cork board but in digital format, so you can look at them, share them or add a reminder. You can even create cards via mail.

Pros

Although I am a big fan of Evernote to manage a multitude of information, lately I have found myself returning to individual lists written on paper.

Cons

What I do not like are the rows one side of the other, where we put the information, it seems very close to one another and for me personally I do not like the appearance, very neutral. The issue is that it is forcing a program to use it for something that it is not. You can also use the notebook to write a novel, but it is not the best tool for it. To organize trips there are tropocientas webs and apps that give a thousand kicks to trello, with suggestions of places, automatic geolocalization, organization by calendar, etc etc etc..To write novels the same, there are webs and applications focused on it, that you hierarchize the information much better, write down ideas, alternative plots, different paths of a story, etc ... come on, what a novel requires, with trello you will organize a micro story as much. Trello is focused on organizing projects in which many people have their roles, and show the states of those projects. Everything else, I seem to want to give it a use that is not yours.

Easy to use!

There are a TON of "power ups" which are extensions to third party apps such as google drive, evernote, a gantt chart maker and more.

Pros

Easy to use, great cross-platform task management app.

Cons

The aesthetics get boring after a while in the free version, but it's cheap to purchase the premium version for a better look!
