Jimmy: In this video, you’ll learn about the calendar and GCal integration in eXo.
Patrice: So the calendar component is really a full-featured calendar, multiple calendar. You can create personal calendars and you also have calendars created by groups. And we can connect remote calendars such as Google Calendar or exchange with the other that I have shown. So I can create my agendas and my events just like these. And this is again a full-featured agenda. So if you’re not using something or you just thought with eXo, we will be able to manage all cases. Really repeatable events of any kinds of crazy complexity, we offer reminders by emails or notification open. We can manage participants. And we also have free/busy check. So you see it’s really an enterprise calendaring component. With different views, we have a week view. We have a month view. This is view is searchable and so on.
Jimmy: One question, if I create a task or an event on this calendar, is there a possibility to have that synced from eXo to, let’s say, a Google Calendar?
Patrice: Yes, so you can. Yes, there are different ways to do it. You can either directly connect remote calendar here, CalDAV. And then you can find the URL in your Google Calendar Settings. But another way is simply to export an event from your calendar. Let me switch to this view. And let’s say that maybe I want to export directly a file that will be a file of all the events that I can import in my calendar. That will be for one-time synchronization. But when you connect to remote calendar like as I will do, you will be able to synchronize all the events permanently, okay?
Patrice: What can I show you? I can also export a single event or task here.
Patrice: And it will give me an icon file that I can send by email
