It's useful for Google drive as a storage solution however if you use the desktop client of google drive, be warned, it gets updated all the time and requires a lot of upkeep

Pros

When it's all configured, the Google programs themselves are fairly straightforward to use and you can integrate the accounts into lots of third-party solutions. The programs are basic which allows novice users the ability to use them without much training

Cons

The admin side of it is really clunky and constantly needs maintaining. It will break every now and then and can be a real pain to fix. Usually it's not too bad but you tend to have to figure it out yourself and you get very little support from Google however its a free product so this is to be expected

Love Google Suite! Especially Slides, Sheets, and Docs which I use daily

Love the integration of gmail and all of the other google applications including sheets, photos, slides and docs. I use photos to save/store professional and personal images. I use sheets for personal budgets and work related wellness tracking. I also use Google documents for work document editing. I love that it is so easy for other users to edit.

I've had no issues with google apps for over 3 years, and I'll continue to use it for email without question. Google Drive and 30 GB of added space is a bonus, and is a great alternative to people who don't want to pay for something like Dropbox as well.

I can access my files remotely and easily through google drive part of G-Suite.

Pros

I like the ability to share large files, collaborate between colleagues. I especially like that I am able to download and have my drive sync as a letter drive that is easily accessible to me in windows explorer.

Cons

I dislike how the file structure is set up and how it can be challenging to locate a file within drive unless I am given a direct link to it by colleague.

Our team recently made a big transition with companies, so G suite helped us to stay organized when all of our "stuff" was in two or three different places. It's helped us to communicate efficiently because Google is always there!

Collaboration suite of tools is a game-changer

Pros

My team uses Drive and the productivity tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) almost daily, and the ease of collaboration/sharing has been eye-opening since I come from a Sharepoint/Office environment were files were constantly being emailed back and forth. Monthly releases shows a commitment to innovation and constant improvement. Other collaboration tools like Office 365 simply doesn't compare in terms of the UI/UX (it often takes more clicks and I find it slower in Office 365 to open docs/spreadsheets to edit on the web).

Cons

Searching in Google Drive could be better (searching by default returns all results, instead of within the current folder).

The gmail platform/email is great along with the google drive. Video conferencing and messaging is great!

In our office, we use Gsuite to set up employees with a company email address. Google drive for data storage and file sharing. calendar application for keeping track of events, deadlines, and meetings.

Pros

As a small business, we rely heavily on Gsuite. With Gsuite, we are able to establish an email address, data storage, and collaboration tools for a new employee all under one roof. The previous solution for our business had our emails separated from other tools, requiring multiple accounts for each employee. This consolidates it down to one. Can't stress how nice it is not to worry about emails again. Gsuite handles emails way better than Outlook.

Cons

Some might complain about the price per user, but considering what you get in return, it is a small cost for the amount of time it saves in the long run.

Not much, it's the weakest part of G Suite

I've never managed to keep files in any logical order on my Google Drive so far. But it's search capabilities make up for it.

It works as good as any other file sharing software. I like that it integrates docs, sheets and other Google services so well. Selective folder synchronization is also great if you run out of space on your local machine.

Google Drive is great for organizing and sharing files

We have a very outdated drive with literally thousands of files. It's impossible to use, cluttered with junk and outdated files. I've been using Google Drive for my work files and to share files with my team and external partners. It's so much easier and very well organized. I like that I can share externally and people can view files needed or edit if allowed. I'd love to convince the organization to move towards a G Drive solution.

Pros

Google Drive is a simple way to organize, store and share files. I use it professionally and personally.

Cons

There's not much I dislike about the G suite but storage capacity can be frustrating on a small budget.

Effective Cloud Storage

There are some fun and neat features that are built-in or delivered over time but overall Drive is a really good value for the money of a G-Suite seat license and a really good value as a free add-on to the Android platform.

Pros

Effective easy to use storage that is deeply embedded into the G-Suite platform.

Cons

Integrations still rely heavily on Google powered plug-ins, extensions, or chrome desktop apps. You're sharing your personal or business photos with a company that's getting increasingly less concerned about security compliance.

Finally modern document storage!

Our team uses Google Drive on the organizational G Suite and we couldn't be happier with this decision to upgrade our team!

Pros

Google Drive is the only way to go if you hope to write meaningful documents that your team can easily collaborate around, share, and store. Why would you write offline when you can create your content in the same way or better thanks to Google? I've accidentally deleted Microsoft Word documents and they were lost forever, but this has never happened to me in Drive. Our team uses Drive to improve our collaboration, facilitate real-time editing, and keep ourselves organized and on track.

Cons

The biggest barrier you'll have to overcome in order to adopt Drive for your team is one of advocacy and training. There will inevitably be holdouts who insist Microsoft Office is the only way to go. But the peer pressure of everyone else using Drive will help them get over that. Don't forget to train your team on proper link sharing and how to adjust those settings so your documents can actually be accessed when you send them out!

As a G suite user for work, and Google user for personal, Drive is easily integrated into everything.

Cons

Not much to dislike when it's easily available for free. There's a mobile app that works great and integrates into my iPhone. I honestly can't think of anything I dislike.....

I love Google Drive and the entire G-Suite. If you work with freelancers or are a freelancer, consider using it over DropBox!

Pros

Google Drive is a freelancer's dream. I can easily share docs, spreadsheets, images, and anything else with my clients with the click of a button. Now that virtually everyone uses the Google Suite, it's become second-nature.

Cons

Besides having to access "HELP" on occasion to work through a question I have may have about functionality, there are no "cons" I can think of.

Pros

I know that this is essentially dropbox, but I think it is superior because it offers the same functionality, but everyone is on google in some form or fashion.

Cons

I wish there was more storage included in the G Suite, but I get 100 additional GB.
