Pros

Filestream integrates perfectly with Windows Explorer. I LOVE that I can access files on my computer that are on the shared drive in the same way I would access a file in MyDocuments.
Overall I am pleased with drive. It is user friendly and being someone who is not tech savvy it is nice to be able to use without having to contact support.
Overall, I am very happy with Google Drive. It is a good investment when backing up your files.

Pros

The support you get from the folks at LSSP is amazing. They are quick and ready to help with solutions.
I have seen some great things come out of your company. Thank you for constantly improving on what you have created, and for giving us the opportunity to have a voice in those changes.
Overall they provide good customer service and the cost for the storage size is great, they regularly make updates and work on ways to improve the product.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like about google drive. The offline work can be a little tricky at times and I have lost a few sentences due to this feature.
There is some frustration for lack of support for older devices which sometimes are just used for storage themselves.
Furthermore, it seems to keeps failing to sync a specific type of file (.suo , a Visual Studio related file) which however is only just a bit annoying and does not cause any trouble.

Cons

Not being able to use the "enter" button and only the magnifying glass is an annoyance and a small complaint, but annoying just the same.
When I train my staff to use Pinpoint, I hear complaints that it's difficult to navigate; to find documents, hard to figure out the Search Content page (we use this page the most).
The only "complaint" I have is that it seems really difficult to clear out cases once they are done.

Google drive is great

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall experience is great. Drive provides me with great storage capability.

Pros

I like the ease of google drive and how seamless it makes working on different devices. It’s easy to access from any machine and the storage capabilities are outstanding . I see myself continuing to use google drive for a long time.

Cons

I can’t pinpoint a characteristic that stands out and makes me wonder why I’m using it. I had some issues with upload speeds but I think that was due to the device I was on and my wireless connection.

The Best Online Storage And Sync Solution

Reviewed 6 years ago

My entire business life revolves around using Google Drive. It serves my every need and I can see it continuing to do so for a very long time.

Pros

There's a lot to love about Google Drive. It's convenient, well-priced, and very fast. It enables me to safely store my business and personal data online in a secure way. - The free solution is a great incentive to begin using Google Drive - I can access my documents on any laptop, desktop, and phone quickly and easily - Automatically store my photos in the cloud, backing them up and keeping them in the case of any unexpected data losses. - Advanced search features are extremely convenient

Cons

It's hard to pinpoint a strong negative about Google Drive. Yes, the free version has what many believe to be a small data limit, but it can be enough for the most basic of storage needs. Of course, if you need to purchase more data you can do so, anyway.

If only DropBox were as simple as this...

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

Where do I begin? The entire G Suite has been created with one central focus in mind - ease of use, and simple interfacing to enhance the user experience. Drive does this in spades - it takes the best features from other leading online storage software, like DropBox or Box.com, and really runs home with some of their finest features. Collaborating couldn't be any easier - shared subfolders make me incredibly happy. Live collaboration on all the docs inside of Drive that are G-Suite centered (think Sheets, Slides, etc) is a dream come true. I found that adding team members to a folder or subfolder was just a few simple clicks.

Cons

The only two major downsides I can really pinpoint are the lack of a proper online desktop app (a la Dropbox, but that integration is awful anyway), and the overall security concern. I find that all of your files being tied to your standard Gmail login is worrisome, considering hacking gmail accounts is in high demand.

Most generous Cloud Storage

Reviewed 4 years ago

While there is a new paid plan for Google drive, the free version is the same as good. You can still leverage it to get full functionality.

Pros

Google Drive comes in handy when you need software that can keep all your important documents in one place. As a freelance content writer, I might get revisions at any time. When this happens, I just look for a nearby computer, log in to my email address, and access google drive with all my work. What makes my work easier is that it allows third-party integration where my client would pinpoint some of the changes I need to make in a text. In general, you can create, edit, and store your work. The tool allows collaboration with numerous people which increases productivity. This minimizes time wastage in email or skype communication. Not to mention that it has cross-platform apps to ease your work.

Cons

It does not have password protection for shared files which may jeopardize its safety. Also, it's productivity can't be compared to Microsoft Word.

PinPoint Operation

Reviewed 5 years ago

We are storing client files primarily on the system. We also have from time to time auditors come in from the State or we turn files into the court. We are able to provide a thumb drive with the requested information.

Pros

Ability to look for a file once already in the system. It is good and bad to have options on how to do the same thing multiple ways. It makes the system definitely flexible but makes it difficult to train. We have to pick a process and train others. Once you know the options it is easier We like the video training. Needs to be updated to new version

Cons

Support documentation is too wordy. It is difficult to follow. Need hierarchically step by step instructions with pictures. You can tell the person that writes it definitely knows the system but there are assumptions. Would prefer to not have to go through DropBox for the pick up the file feature. When viewing pages have to scroll up and down and across to see the pages. If on the screen there was a way to minimize the Group Programs section on the left to extend the screen.

Reviewed 8 years ago

I like the fact that you can save documents to your hard drive and transfer them into E-drawer without having to print them. Our business receives 75 to 80% of our work via the internet and not being forced to handle actual paper is a one of the best things about this software. Consequently our physical storage needs have dropped dramatically. The only con that I would have is that sometimes the software "hangs" when printing a document that has been saved. Doesn't happen often and I have not addressed the situation for that reason.

I use this software to manage large document criminal cases for defense attorneys in California

Reviewed 8 years ago

The attorneys I work with are largely computer-literate only to the extent of being able to do Google searches, and legal research (Lexis, Westlaw, etc.). A few of them also able to use social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). In short, they have no experience using document management programs, so having one that is as easy to use as PinPoint is really a necessity for them. I have had excellent reviews from all the attorneys who have used the program. The only "complaint" I have is that it seems really difficult to clear out cases once they are done. I would like it if we could just hit "delete" and have the cabinets go away (with a warning message of course).
