Microsoft teams

It has become our replacement to hipchat.

Pros

The flexibility with who you are chatting with. Either an individual, group or pull another person into a chat without starting a new team.

Cons

When using screen sharing haven't been able to get keyboard to work when taking control remotely. Sometimes notification popup and other times they don't. Not sure why it's inconsistent

Best Communication and Collaboration Tool for faster and better communication

2019-02-01

In overall, I really loved the transition from HipChat to MS teams, and it is easier to use and set up a meeting.

Pros

First, I moved from HipChat to MS team due to the shutdown of HipChat tool that is planed by Atlassian due to merge with slack.

Cons

The only problem, you need to navigate to the specific section in the MS team to see the updates incase if you missed the notification. And also, setting the notification is a little bit tricky and no options for status.

Good for managing teams and meetings

2018-06-24

We have used many different products to facilitate group meetings over the years, from Join.Me and GoToMeeting, to Atlassian Hipchat and now Microsoft Teams.

Pros

We moved to Teams from Hipchat because of issues with reliability of the video conferencing in the aforementioned software.

Cons

Not much negative to say about this software, it does one job for us and it does it very well. We have never had issues with video and audio streams or issues syncing. The integration into outlook calendars is great. Nothing bad to say really as long as you understand what you are using it for I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Fun GIFs and Great Communication Company Wide

2019-02-05

I think it's helpful that Teams automatically syncs up with meeting invites and will show that you are "in a meeting" during that time. It helps me gauge who I can reach out to and who isn't available.

Pros

We just switched over from Hipchat to Microsoft Teams, and I really enjoy it much better.

Cons

It's a little confusing when you have a lot of group chats and singular chats running at the same time. It's also a little difficult to navigate where important documents are that are shared with a select group.

Microsoft Teams Review

2019-01-04

Pros

The biggest thing that I like about Microsoft Teams is it's integration with all the other softwares in the Microsoft ecosystem. It can also be somewhat beneficial if your company has a license with Microsoft since Teams come with it for free.

Cons

My company have recently switched to using Teams since Hipchat is going away and I'm having a ton of trouble adapting to Teams.
