Very good features, but there's a way to improve

Reviewed 8 months ago

It's a good idea but the implementation is far to be my killer app to work with .pdf. I use LiquidText when I need a special function.

Pros

There's a lot of very useful features working with .pdf and text in general.

Cons

The implementation of some features are difficult to use and there's another features that not working properly.

Great ideas, sketchy UI

Reviewed 8 months ago
Pros

LiquidText feels like a very ambitious project that tries to cater to people in the field of research. Honestly, I don't know any software that offers similar capabilities to LiquidText. I also like that it is still very much in development and that new great features keep getting implemented.

Cons

Despite its great and ambitious features, the actual usage of the tool is often somewhat cumbersome. I also wish that the grouping of extracts and notes would be improved (currently, all ideas are on the same dashboard, and although some colored fields form visual boundaries, they do not form actual groupings of contents).

Useful to manage research

Reviewed 8 months ago

Useful product at affordable price.

Pros

Product allows for easy link and retrieval across multiple documents.

Cons

Documents can be transported from liquidtext to other environments, but I have not discovered synching methods. Also difficult if you use both PC and apple products.

Good idea but there is room for lots of improvement

Reviewed 8 months ago

Overall, Liquid text is a great idea. But unless the idea is developed, I don’t think it can go any further.

Pros

In used mainly for reviewing journals and taking notes. I like the feature that’s linking the comments throughout the document.

Cons

The writing is not so good. It didn’t feel that out of your handwriting. Good notes have done a good job in the handwriting area. Also there is no option to draw, I meant some dressing told would have been nice.

Cons

Costa 40€; non molto economico e funzionante solo si pc o su dispositivi AppleSarebbe bello poterlo utilizzare su android

Perfect for research

Reviewed 8 months ago

In my research, I use a lot of different sources; LiquidText help me connect those source and intergrade parts from each to further my understanding of a subject.

Pros

The ability to connect ideas and thoughts from different sources is best in class. This product helps me to better understand a subject and connect the important ideas.

Cons

There are times I forget to use it so I have had to add it to my desk top

Great software for lecture building

Reviewed 7 months ago

A very efficient way to build a good lecture while keeping the process fresh and dynamic. Once some layout tools are refined a bit further - this will be my go-to white paper creator.

Pros

I really like how straightforward the software is for sourcing multiple references in building a proper lecture. I can easily scan and extract key data from various sources and connect them in a fluid and organic way.

Cons

Arranging the material once I've extracted can get messy. At times, my organizational structure is misaligned when I try and move material around.

The mos important use for me, its to build summarizes of legal texts, and relate the ideas. Its quite easy to extract complete text that shows the idea, so its a great app for study.

Cons

It requires a learning procces to get advantages of all the functionalies that the app has

Great for extracting information from documents and note taking.

Reviewed 8 months ago

I've used it primarily to extract relevant data from PDFs for writing research and it's a wonderful tool for this.

Pros

LiquidText is fantastic to be able to rapidly extract and correlate information from documents.

Cons

It can be a little clunky to use - there is no drag and drop, which would really help with folders and overall organization.

Unique Product for note taking

Reviewed 8 months ago

Great overall

Pros

I own several note taking apps for my Ipad. There is, however nothing like liquid text. The app is based on real world note taking experience and backed up by research on studying methodology.

Cons

I used to like the simplicity. It is now having too many features built into a single platform.

Great iPad product, but pricing model makes it bad value

Reviewed 8 months ago
Pros

The iPad version is incredible to use… a total game change if your researching a lot of PDFs

Cons

The pricing model is ridiculous. Even though I had grandfather rights being an early adopter, the new subscription model meant that I had to abandon liquidtext for a competitor product. What a shame!

Love the feature where I can add several docs and can connect and compare all of it, like magic..

Reviewed 8 months ago

I am operating paperless with the help of this app.

Pros

Adding several docs and compare and connect the same and also make notes for the same and future reference

Cons

Missing feature is that you can't share the notes made unless the device you are sharing to has this app

I want to know more

Reviewed 8 months ago

Overall it’s positive. But the experience can amplify with better cues and tutorials. Also instead of subscriptions it should be one time payment at least for students

Pros

I always come back to liquid text to annotate my documents. There are so many features and functionalities that it’s not readily intuitive how to apply these features in day to workflow.

Cons

The subscription based pricing for premium features and the tutorial videos.
