Pros

It is so powerful, and I know I'm barely scraping the surface of what all it's capable of. It is amazing for tracking progress, analyzing data, and staying organzied.

SF

I like the ease of this software to input my numbers that have been acquired over the year and is a good reference to keep my numbers straight.

JM

JORDAN M. J.

I would easily recommend it as it's perfect for kids in school, in the work place etc. All it's features are detailed and open doors for me to be as creative as I want to be.
AvatarImg

Sherika S.

Pros

It also includes a very handy password generator I love to use when creating new user accounts everywhere. It is the single best password manager I have ever had the pleasure of using.

GS

Goran S.

I love the ability to store all my passwords and other login information in one place. This is especially true for me because my organization requires frequent changes (for security reasons).

AR

Anonymous Reviewer

Super easy to use and you only need to remember one master password, that is a huge help. You can also use the strong recommended passwords because you don't have to memorize them or write them down.

SP

Sarah P.

Cons

Some of the error messages are hard to decipher when using the software and the functions have confusing variables to put in at times.

AR

Anonymous Reviewer

The software cannot be readily integrated or harmonized with other information systems. The software is totally insensitive to human errors; it does not prompt the user when there is an error.

DG

David G.

When there is a large amount of data entered into a spreadsheet it's inevitable to have trivial human mistakes made. Sometimes it's very difficult to find those mistakes later.

MN

MARAT N.

Cons

I've had trouble with it logging me out for no apparent reason. Can be frustrating at times as you need to login to something quickly and this slows the process.

AR

Anonymous Reviewer

There is always the danger that the user will forget their are master password and that would render the software more than useless.

We're currently looking into switching because we've lost trust in Lastpass. Who knows what negative changes they'll make to their business practices in the future.

Pros

We use Lastpass to share passwords between users in our company. We try to have always a different password and with this software we can register these passwords and share them easily.

It's nice I just don't see the point

Reviewed 3 years ago

We use LastPass because we need to keep all of our passwords secure. And this is a great tool to do that. You only have to remember your one password to get into the account, and then you have all your passwords saved on the inside. You can even link to those websites and log in directly from LastPass. But I honestly rarely use it. Google Chrome saves all my passwords and if I forget, I have an Excel spreadsheet that has all the info I need. Plus I've had issues where I've logged into LastPass and the passwords are wrong for some reason? Like they update to be the same password I used to get into LastPass, instead of the right password. The same thing happens if I try to change the password. It's just a lot of hassle when there are other free options available.

Pros

It does supply you with a secure location to store all of your passwords.

Cons

With other resources like Excel or Chrome, I just don't use it very often.

The Last Password Keeper You Will Ever Need

Reviewed a year ago

Before using LastPass, passwords were stored in Excel sheets, locked notes and even written down on occasion. Now there are all consolidated for easy management.

Pros

Of course a password keeper must be able to securely store passwords. LastPass takes it a step further by offering rich categorization features that help keep all the data tidy and easily accessible to authorised users. The interface is easy to use and because of this and the categorization features we now save a lot of time that was wasted searching for access credentials. Its also generates secure passwords and has the ability to store other kinds of data such as documents and notes. For our business, the ability to store an unlimited number of credentials was critical. This has allowed us to scale up what we manage without having to worry about additional software to help keep track of it all.

Cons

We haven't experienced any issues since we started using this software. The price is not the lowest in the market but the features are worth it.

Why didn't we get this a long time ago?

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

My favorite part of this software is the ability to share passwords across employees. Dare I say this...but we were using an Excel spreadsheet to save our passwords/logins - gasp! No idea, why we never thought to use LastPass. I honestly didn't know they had an Enterprise platform that could be shared among employees. It was easy to set-up and now we are properly secure. The Excel spreadsheet is long gone!

Cons

We just set this up about 2 months ago. So far, we haven't found anything that we didn't like about the software. We are able to share this among employees and I have it installed on multiple devices. So far, the process has been seamless.

LastPass is a key to security

Reviewed 4 years ago

I stopped using a variant of a few passwords, and stopped using an insecure Excel spreadsheet to maintain a password list. LastPass is more secure and allows me to manage a total of 900 passwords.

Pros

LastPass provides a list of features to manage and share passwords, website lists and categories, fills-in address and payment card details, restricts access to certain computers or certain countries, and is especially helpful when there are many logins to monitor for the same domain.

Cons

Sometimes when a password has been changed, LastPass will not recognize it. So if a user generates a secure password, then it could be lost unless it's saved temporarily. Also, some websites will not allow you to easily insert your username and password. Sometimes this is an intentional website design to circumvent copying and pasting of text, so it is not a LastPass deficiency.

The best Password Manager I have ever used

Reviewed 3 years ago

LastPass really lives up to its name. I really only need to remember one password and I am secure. I don't see myself using any other password manager.

Pros

I can finally get rid of all those excel spreadsheets full of passwords. Sharing passwords with colleagues is safe and secure. I can rest easier too knowing that I have completely random passwords and not 12 variations of the same password.

Cons

The Android app keeps needing to be manually started and doesn't always present an autofill option. This has not turned me off from the platform though.

Keeping things secure

Reviewed 5 months ago

This has really kept me sane on all of my passwords and the ease of updating them as necessary. My employe requires it and I use it personally as well and really like feeling as if my passwords are more secure then just a list on an excel spreadsheet.

Pros

I rely on LastPass for all of my passwords. I truly would be lost without it. I have it loaded into my Chrome browser as well as an APP on my iPhone.

Cons

If you forget your Master Password it's bit of an act of congress to get it reset, which I understand but at times, when for no apparent reasons my password would not longer work, it was frustrating to fix.

Secure way to store numerous passwords

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I have so many different websites I log into for work that I have a really hard time remembering all of the logins. I used to store them in an Excel spreadsheet which is incredibly unsafe so I love Lastpass and being able to use one login to access all of my login information.

Cons

What I like least is that if you use the Chrome add-on for LastPass the default timeout is too long in my opinion. I prefer that it automatically logs me out of LastPass within a few minutes of inactivity instead of staying logged in for an extended period of time, especially when I'm using my work computer.

I am a big fan of this software because I can never remember my passwords and used to store them pretty unsafely in an excel doc. Now I save them in Last Pass and can easily share them with others (and without actually giving them the password). It's a great system and I highly recommend it.

Clean Password Manager

Reviewed 3 years ago

Prior to using LastPass, my team didn't have any consistent way of storing credentials - some would use the password manager built into the browser, while a few others would use an Excel sheet. After some digging around and comparing trials, we eventually settled on LastPass due to it's extra added security (MFA), clean interface, and the fact that it was also the easiest to use overall.

Pros

We use LastPass for Teams to store some of our credentials at work for sites we would only occasionally use, while also having a shared folder for the team-wide credentials that would come up every now and then. The whole process was pretty straightforward with no issues at all - everything was set up within an hour or so, while adding and maintaining the credentials is done in a matter of moments. The options for Multifactor Authentication gives us an extra added layer of security in the case that any of our devices are compromised. Credentials

Cons

We've been using the product for a few months now, but we have not actually run into any issues along any of the steps. The biggest concern on our radar is the security, as it does ultimately put our own data in someone else's hands in the case of a breach.

LastPass Review

Reviewed 9 months ago

We use LastPass credentials manager a lot on daily basis already for many years. We recommend it for our customers as well.

Pros

LastPass is the most advanced credentials management software I ever used before. It has many different options to remember your credentials for various of webservices. Also I like the MFA code generation feature which helps me to quickly log in to MFA-protected web resources. Our team use LastPass to store all our company secrets. LastPass checks and warns us if any of stored password was leaked to public access and offers to change it immediately.

Cons

There are still some features we miss. Would be great to have integrated password management available for some non-web applications like TeamViewer, Microsoft RDP client, etc. Previously there was a LastPass Windows client available which partially provided that feature but later it was deprecated. Also I can complain on slow web GUI interface of LastPass Vault page. Searching for store credentials may lag and sometimes hangs.

Annoying to setup, seamless to use

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall I recommend, it solves a huge problem every company has. I just wish they had some better competition so we could resolve the annoying little issues...and maybe their UI/UX wouldn't be so horrible.

Pros

Overall I love LastPass. It has allowed me to modernize our entire team's approach to password management. Gone are the days of storing outdated passwords in an Excel sheet. I can now set more complex passwords for websites and only provide administrative access to a handful of people – removing the entire team's ability to change a password on a whim. They also offer a full suite of apps – desktop, browser, and mobile.

Cons

Setting it up is a huge pain. The import process was finicky, transitioning my account over from a single user to a team took a few days to complete, and reaching out to support was completely useless (they just sent me to a link that was unrelated to my issue). I transitioned accounts as part of a test phase to ensure LastPass would work for our office, which I would assume would be a fairly common procedure. Also, managing team members can be confusing. Overall, it works well but the UI/UX is just bad.
