Great for schools

2019-04-03

Pros

I got this given while I was in school as it allowed the school to stay connected to their students. We were given email accounts, access to all of microsoft. It was fantastic to have the entire program connected.

Cons

I don't always like Microsoft outlook but think everything else is great.

Microsoft Teams Review

2018-09-05

Not the greatest. My company used slack for the longest time and then switched to Teams and I miss slack so much :(

Pros

You can sync your Microsoft Outlook with Teams so you can have conference calls within Teams.

Cons

The programs shuts down every hour, multiples times within that hour without letting you know. It will just sign off randomly. It is not user-friendly; Activity and Chat and Teams channels are confusing because everything goes through Activity in the end so you get alerted multiple times for the same thing. Gif choices are limited and not fun. You can't personalize text (like you can do on Slack) and make them pop/glitter/echo.

Excellent product mix and connectivity

2017-12-08

Extensive user collaboration suites as well as familiar interfaces across operating systems.

Pros

I like the way the apps interact with each other and the fact that they can be downloaded to my systems or used online. Having 1TB of cloud space in OneDrive simplifies things tremendously. Likewise, being able to download and use the apps on my Android phone ensures that when I need something, it is available. Last year, I implemented Office365 for Education in the school where I serve as Director of IT. For all of my users, whether using Windows or IOS, the transition was nearly seamless. We also offer this to our students and teach them office productivity skills utilizing Office365 apps.

Cons

I prefer the web user interface for gmail over Microsoft Outlook. Nevertheless, Outlook provides most of the same features, just presented differently.

Good email and calendar solution

2019-04-02

We use it for email, calendar, and sharing files.

Pros

I can check my email and meeting schedule from any web browser.

Cons

There's some noticeable differences between the Microsoft Outlook user interface and office365 mobile web interface so it can take some getting used to.

Office for a New Century

2018-12-12

The ability to transfer files between my office computer and my home computer. Having shareable files that can be edited within my work group.

Pros

Cloud support. Able to use across multiple brands of mobile devices. Ability to access my work to any PC instead of carrying a copy on a USB drive. Streamlined and less clunky interface.

Excellent platform, constantly being updated, great for teams

2018-07-24

There's really no competition out there for Microsoft Office as a desktop productivity suite. Office 365 gets you the latest and greatest from Microsoft in this context. The online versions are still far behind their desktop counterparts, but they are slowly getting there.

Pros

I work in higher education and all of my employers to date have provided access to Office 365 as the primary productivity suite. The suite has really grown on me, though I still tend to use Microsoft products offline and gravitate toward Google products for online collaboration. The Office 365 suite has made tremendous progress over the years and the immense capabilities of the desktop versions are beginning to show up online as well. I have used most of the tools on both platforms.

Cons

The one tool I wish was improved the most is Microsoft Outlook online.

Office 365 Is Great Addition of Previously Expensive Suites Moving to cheap monthly subscriptions.

2018-07-13

I use Microsoft Outlook for email and schedule management, I use Microsoft Word for copy writing (emails, social post drafts, booklets, etc...), I use excel to keep track of analytics data, Powerpoint for board and team presentations...

Pros

It's great that I can access my outlook email from any computer with internet. The apps functionality is almost identical once I've downloaded them from my login portal. This makes this software suite so much more affordable.

Cons

It can be a little confusing when you first get setup, how you are supposed to download software or access the programs.

Microsoft Office for Teachers

2019-02-22

Microsoft Office 365 is the program of choice for the school district that I work for. Although I am not a huge fan of it overall, it has served its purpose in keeping up communication between stakeholders and giving teachers and students needed tools.

Pros

My favorite thing about Microsoft Office is that it is secure. It keeps teacher and student information safe.

Cons

For example, in Microsoft Outlook, when I try to mark an email as unread, it only works about half of the time.

Similar to many IM applications, but useful when linked for job purposes to Microsoft Outlook

2018-07-17

Pros

Well connected with Microsoft Outlook, all the appointments, meetings or multiple emails to sent, just writing the name of the group.

Cons

I like the least the file sharing.. "obliged" to confirm double the sharing of a document or whatever to be shared. If you don't know that, you can wait ages before knowing you need tk confirm a second time.

Microsoft Teams - Almost but not quite

2018-11-04

Pros

The software is a good platform for trying to organise working life in a modern way, instead of forcing everyone to be a Microsoft Outlook driven workplace.

Cons

Although it promises to enable a flexible and dynamic working environment, I couldn't find any combination of plug ins or apps that actually make me feel like I have all my deliverables accessible and up front where I need them. I always felt like I was missing something when compared to organising my worklife using Outlook.

But is it 24/7?

2019-01-22

Outlook has been good to me. It allows me to stay organized and up to date with my emails in a convenient way.

Pros

This is a great program that allows you to interface with microsoft outlook and access your email and calendar with ease.

Cons

Google definitely has the run on the market when it comes to calendar and email software. It is hard to compete with google. Google is much easier to use, more intuitive, has better features (all in my humble opinion), and Outlook will never be able to compete with that... but for what it offers, it gets the job done.

Office 365

2019-01-09

I would gladly suggest office 365 as it has not given us any issues. The mails service is stout.

Pros

We love using 365 for the ability to use genuine apps from Microsoft like Outlook and Excel. This is a huge plus for us. The mail service is fantastic with great spam control.

Cons

The costs for the service are above other mail hosting services however you do get access to Microsofts office suite. Navigating their admin portal can be cumbersome but works at the end of the day.

Office Workers' Hand and Foot " Ms Office"

2019-04-14

We manage office documents from your smartphone, tablet and personal computers in one place with Office. Thus, wherever we are found, we reach our files and make arrangements. We use Word and presentations with Powerpoint. The office is installed on all computers in our company and on our smartphones.

Pros

We do all mail correspondence with Microsoft Outlook. Even though we are a media design and photography company, we use excel.

Cons

Maybe the price policy can be a bit flexible. Less fees should be charged. Excel is very difficult to learn and implement. And in recent releases it gets even harder. Microsfot should think about low-level users like us. Should Simplify. I find it difficult to find resources in my native language. Since the internet connection is not fixed, the application shows slow responses to my commands. When using this application, I think it will be functional if you have a good network connection.

Teams has become a staff-wide necessity in our office

2019-02-13

Overall, Teams has increased our efficiency and collaboration in the workplace. Using it has replaced the need for lengthy email chains that use to clutter our inboxes. Each department has its own Teams group chat so everyone stays in the loop about projects and current schedules/locations. As cheesy as it sounds, we truly do work better as a team by using Microsoft Teams.

Pros

The Microsoft Teams feature that stands out among other instant messenger applications is its integration with OneDrive and Microsoft Outlook. Keeping up with your coworkers has never been easier now that we're all on Teams.

Cons

The only thing I've had trouble with is locating the storage location of files I've shared via Teams. There seems to be some inconsistencies among coworkers, especially if they aren't fluent in how their OneDrive operates.

Great for execution, needs improvement in communication devices

2018-11-25

I give Office 365 a high rating, because its components really do make life much more convenient. Word, powerpoint, one note, and excel are ingenious tools that allow one to keep numerical track of their data, and to compose and save documents. There are also brilliant tools such as exchange and one drive that allow one to save their data and back it up. My qualm is with its outlook email system and skype. The email system is hard to access and not user friendly. Once one uses it and moves on to a different email system, it is difficult to retrieve the old data. Skype just simply freezes out on me every time I use it. It's a great tool in delivery and execution, and needs improvement in communication.

Pros

I really like the components of Microsoft Office 365. Word, excel, powerpoint, and access are integral tools for any means of business, communication, or production. One Drive, exchange, and some other features help back up the system's data when it crashes. These are invaluable resources, thus compelling me to rate this product highly.

Cons

I was coerced to use microsoft outlook for my university's email system, and I heavily disliked its incompatibility with any other device or system.

Office 365- Blended with applications

2019-02-18

Pros

Officw 365 is a collaboration of Offline applications with cloud based services offered by Microsoft. With Outlook and Microsoft Office suite it provides Skype for Business and SharePoint. Microsoft has always promoted to take the Office 365 subscription. I must say its worth to get the subscription based on end Users.

Cons

Yes, it cost a bit higher but you will get all your applications for desktop and mobile with it. Moreover updates won't cost anything.

Always have the latest iteration of MS Office on your computer---for only a few bucks a month!

2019-02-22

I have proprietary domains for my businesses and along with the domains come email addresses that Microsoft Outlook helps me manage.

Pros

Before Office 365, the version of Office that I had on my computer was always out of date. And every year that I didn't upgrade due to the cost, I was missing out on new functionalities and features. Then along comes Office 365, and suddenly I had a way to keep Microsoft Office current for less than I would have paid to upgrade to the then-newest version each year---and I have the entire current suite of MS Office software available when I need a particular program, all for only a few bucks a month. Thank you, Microsoft!

Cons

I like everything about the MS Office suite of programs, but Microsoft's idea of customer service has always been wanting. Office 365 didn't change that.

Excellent functionality but takes time to master

2018-09-26

Pros

It's ability to sync with other office 365 toosl, such as OneNote also makes the overall user experience of Outlook when used alongside other Microsoft products a big bonus.

Cons

The system can be overwhelming with so many features and personalisation options that some of the best features are hidden. The new outlook (2016) has also removed the ability to have pop-up alerts when a new email comes in. This is particualarly frustrating and would welcome a return to this feature being switched on or off.
