Microsoft 365 Products for Various Business Uses

Microsoft 365 is widely used, easy to understand and effectively meets my needs for vendor risk management tracking and reporting, meeting minutes documentation, email management, and document sharing.

Pros

Excel has a wide range of uses and currently I use it mostly for vendor risk management documentation tracking, dashboard development and reporting.

Cons

I have used the IBM Notes software and databases in the past as well and it is not quick or efficient to convert documentation created there to the Microsoft 365 applications.

The Flagship Document editing suite

Then, the feature with identifying authors and version are certainly useful but there is scope for improvement.

Pros

Office 365 is full with features and a very good interface. Its easier to see licenaing information and available office apps from the office 365 app.

Cons

I would love to see a better integration between access, word, powerponit, excel for both automated documentation, report generating and project management.

All most all the functions of Microsoft office is packed into a light online version of office 365.

Cons

Overall, my experience with Microsoft 365 is good. Although there are trade-offs to using DaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms, I feel the benefits you gain outweigh the negatives.

I use Microsoft 365 for everything work related - email, documents, project management, reports, presentations and love the integration between all the pieces.

Pros

So I don't have to worry about using the wrong version. It's great!

Cons

I used to use some of the "installed software" that is now included in 365, and still have to get past that old muscle memory on how to access my software.

Pros

The ability to save directly to OneDrive and/or Sharepoint with applications such as Word or Excel is extremely valuable and is a great solution for small organizations that have no local central storage or tend to save items directly on their own PCs.

Cons

A wish-list item would be wider acceptance for OneDrive integration with 3rd party apps - similar to DropBox.

Developing into a modern, almost flimsy experience, with many shaky updates to keep a modern look and experience--i.e. with OneDrive and such like Is not well documented--most helpful resources are third party Microsoft is practically unreachable by phone and the forum is lame--sometimes you only get one response, asking for more details, but no follow-up once the details are provided.

We switched from 365 to Google Workspace simply due to cost effectiveness and Workspace's potential to significantly speed up our work flow with its app integration and user-friendly design.

Pros

With newer versions of Word, you can convert PDFs directly to .docx files and edit them, its so much faster than using a third party tool to convert and edit, and most of the time the format of the PDF is not heavily effected.

Cons

You cannot collaborate with anyone who does not have a Microsoft subscription or account and it is still the most expensive package on the market for document management and cloud solutions.

Pros

Having it on a multi-platform, iPads, Tablets, Mobiles, PC and Desktop is an amazing experience, on top of the integration provided with 3rd party cloud storage providers and local storage.

Cons

Another thing are the built in template (Pro version) that are limited sometimes, needs more enrichment, as I seek the web still to get more templates that are vertical fit for an industry solution or certain types of business.

Not having to manage servers, endless patching, upgrades, hardware, and storage is a boon to anyone in IT.

Good version controlling, sharing and availability.

Cons

Nothing is prefect in this world so as Microsoft 365, it has some flaws like they have pre defined package set of applications for subscription in which some are really awesome but some may not be of your use. If they would redesign it and make it pick-n-chose model then it will become the best.
